Silly Cute MC + Only fond of MC ML.

Doesnt do anything different from other novels with this trope. Thought MCs previous life would change it up a bit but it didnt.

Replace he with she in reference to MC and you wouldn't even know the difference. This is just a "Cute and cuddly but a bit dumb" Female MC with different pronouns.

Read if youre desperate for that trope but otherwise its not worth it, theres plenty of other cnovels with this same pairing type that has an interesting and engaging story.... more>> No reason to torture yourself with this when those exist. <<less

I feel like the story is dragged on when it should be wrapped up at 50 chapters max.

The MC is so pure and innocent that he feels like a child and that's what makes it disturbing when you see him in a marriage with someone older, The ML is someone selfish who only takes but doesn't try to make the MC stronger by giving him the psychological help he needs maybe because he is a afraid of being abandoned or because he loved how the MC depends on him so... more>> much, too much one sided power in this relationship so not really my cup of tea.

A lot of unnecessary stuff? The villains are a bit too s*upid and at this point I don't feel motivated to even finish the story since I don't feel it still have anything new to offer. <<less

I actually don't understand why they didn't like this novel. MC had already lived 28 years in his previous life. The novel isn't finished yet but I don't think MC is disabled. Just nobody raised it so a little s*upid. This marriage was determined by the family in the first place. I mean, there is no pe*ophilia here.

Furry and easy to read. I suggest you read. Before reading the bad reviews, you can take a look at the introduction.

I'm using the translation sorry for the english...

Okay, so I'm halfway through the novel and let me just say... Wow, what a sweet book. Before anything, you have to understand that the MC, Meng Ting, has autism, it said so in the tag so if you don't understand why he acts a certain way... He also has been told he was s*upid and basically a waste of space, so I don't blame him for his attitude towards life.

Meng Ting and Yan Sui's relationship is gold. It's filled with boundary and I applause Yan Sui's patience to eat... more>> the MC at times, what a gentleman.

The novel so far has a fair amount of people I wanna slap at this moment, but it's not crazy overwhelming which I love.

Also Yan Sui's circle of friends are TOO funny. I love how they always feel like the single left out group when they are around Meng Ting and Yan Sui. <<less

Well, the starting was quite good.. MC has cong**ital problem that made him slow witted.. It might be Autism..

* Plus Point *

MC was reborn but that didn't make him intelligent or anything.. Instead he just wanted to get away from his family so not to die as in his previous life.. He just wanted to get married and eat and sleep.. And that he could think of something like That, he felt himself to be a genius.. This kind of thinking was totally... more>> in the line of someone with low intelligence.. I truly like this part of the story.. His behaviour, his thinking, his inability to do simple works and yet his talent in making perfumes is something that can be often seen in Autistic people.. But the reason why I found it boring :

* He met the ML and the story became dull as it went on.. They did it multiple times at almost every single night and also the barrage of kisses.. And they were all described so elaborately along with their other daily activities that it became boring..

* ML is way too jealous and possessive.. He never helped Meng Ting to have friends.. Yan Sui's behaviour only made Meng Ting's world narrow.. His world only has Yan Sui to rely on, which in my opinion isn't good for the mental health of someone who already has suffered so much and has insecurities due to his low wit..

* The plot has many sad twists.. But unfortunately they also became more or less ok-ish due to too much harping on the main characters' romantic interactions.. It doesn't feel even a bit painful as the story progress..

* Too long to keep up the interest.. <<less

I like this story very much.

MC and ML love story is quite refreshing to read. It's fluffy but it's a tragedy.

Its quite distressing to know that everything misfortune falls to MC. ML and MC is the same. They fell into a tragedy because of a woman's one side love and jealousy that turn into hate.

... more>> But it's good they are perfect for each other.

ML is the dominant type. Because of his early regime of their house, he became quite controlling, cold, and detached. He is also possessive and is the yandere type. But despite that because he grow up with a normal and happy environmental despite his change after the death of his grandparents, he still retain his friends. Unlike other mls which is truly alone.

MC has a lot of mental problems. According to the novel he is born normal and the kidnapping incedent left him a permanent damage. MC is a genius, but because of autism he has a problem adopting. He also has depression and a mild anti social behavior. When he was sent to the reform program, he developed drug addiction.

Seriously, this novel is so hard to MC. Well thankfully the novel didn't quite portray the MC's mental problems and inner conflicts since the novel is focused on the environmental problems happening between them and their respective families.

This is really a great story. The plotline is wonderful. But the reason villains turned black is quite repeatetive and kind of weak. But over all...

It great!!!

The extra is a beauty too...

After the every storm there's a rainbow.

It made me cry...

Thankfully it's all happy ending!!! <<less

This is incredibly adorable and fluffy!

MC was reborn after dying from being overworked and in his second life, all he wants is comfort. ML provides that for him, and their relationship blossoms from there.

A beautiful book. I had expected angst especially with the way ML had to marry MC. But ML is pretty open minded and does not take his anger out on MC. MC is also Meng. But dangerous at the same time. It's such a weird but pleasing mixture. He is kind of like a fluffy ball whose fur can suddenly turn into sharp spikes in face of danger. The story is also good and slow. The side characters are ok.

I personally have to say everyone pov is different so don't solely depend on review to read a work

Because sometimes a work that's beautiful in others view might not be same in your way (I ve personally experienced it) and viz.

  • But you can take overall check of development and story building and language used in work to analyse it on surface and decide whether to read or not. Otherwise you might miss a wonderful piece of work...

I've read this months ago and only making a review now because I'm re-reading it. On boring days I crave for an adorable MC and a drool-worthy doting ML, which this story has both. Love the face-slapping, love the cuteness, love the lovey-dovey. And yes, honesty is still the best policy, which the MC embodies in words and actions (though sometimes in a child-like way, but it doesn't annoy me) so Meng Ting is definitely high on my list of MCs. It doesn't bother me that MC seemed totally dependent... more>> on the ML (gosh, can relate... depending on my hubby for almost half of my life now and so far he isn't complaining lol) I rate a story usually on how the characters made me feel in the long run or in the end, so yes, this is a 5 for me. <<less

This is one of those novel that I reread when I was having a bad day. It so cute and fluffy. I like the MC so much, some readers might find him too naive? And act like child but it was all due to his bad upbringing and obviously from eating those pills. And I don't think he's naive lol at least he's not someone who could be easily deceived, I like simple character who could easily expressed their feelings instead of complicated one (just like Yan sui who hates... more>> complicated stuff and had a trust issue) so he is really my type of MC, I need more novel like this ╮ (^▽^) ╭ <<less

The novel was pretty much centered around the main pairing's relationship and struggles in the family as well as, of course, the rebirth. And while I enjoyed it, there's still a few illogical points that stood out that made me actually not enjoy it to the fullest. I saw a bit of development, but other than that, the story was just stagnant. The main pairing's interactions are absolutely adorable and fluffy, but kind of excessive that it's a wee bit monotonous. But if you do think about it, the story's... more>> pretty simple.

Overall; it's cute, some details are a little complex, yes, and that's it. <<less

Honestly... I am the first get to upset if the MC/shou is written poorly, or as unnecessarily weak... but after reading In Love with an Idiot and basically dying on the inside, I appreciate that our ML/Gong takes great effort not to hurt the MC further...

And as for the intelligence of the MC... I know two guys with Asperger's and they remind me very much of the MC. If his childhood was different he might not know how to fight as well, but everything else would be more integrated with... more>> "normal" society. But he was given a sh*t start and controlled by a s*um family... so the result is realistic.

As far as the ML... there really is a thing as meeting someone and having your worldview/view of relationships change... (For me, his name was Corey, and now I know something else can be true...) so the ML going from this dry whatever to finding someone that pricks through his tough hide... not an earth shattering possibility.

There will always be face-slapping in a rebirth story... that's like THE POINT most of the time... why are people ever surprised by that?

Anyways... unlike other stories in the same category/level of "seriousness/drama" like Strongly Pampered Male Wife, this one has a more balanced and healthy relationship between the MC/ML... and before anyone loses their mind... unlike "forced obedience" (ab*se, r*pe, etc.) in other stories... the MC could rebel... proof that he could rebel is his decision to be "a waste". Except that the ML is physically stronger, I'm on like chapter 50-something and I don't ever get that creepy feeling... and the possessiveness isn't so over the top that he undermines/hinders that MC's progress in life.

Okay... anyways... you def won't cry about this one or question life. It's very middle of the road and enjoyable. <<less

Unlike what some other reviews seem to be stating, I would like to disagree on the part of 'lack of plot'. Because it DOES have an underlying conflict, a dark 'history' and current mystery. On the top it may seem like your usual love at first sight, 2D villains, mindless fluff kind of novel, and in some aspects it is, but there also another aspect that I feel isn't being done justice to. The work started off all angsty, Meng Ting had just gotten revive, has cong**ital psychological deficiencies and... more>> has been raised in an unhealthy environment so I personally think his behavior isn't that peculiar. Everyone has their own way of responding to life long trauma and that was his. Something like defence mechanism of regression in a way? He hasn't been raised well, has no proper education, has pre existing psychological condition perpetuated by the sheer ab*se he had to go through; its only natural he won't respond or behave like your typical human. Plus he has already lived a full life of suppression and overwork and now he got a man who actually does seem to care for him, so why won't he, a teen, get attached to him?

In addition to that, there's the whole unraveling of their respective histories, all the shrouded relationships. And the character development for Yan Sui and Meng Ting both is going slow and steady.

Of course the work is like fluff overload but only calling it that ain't all that proper. Plus their relationship is satisfying as heck; they're so pure and lovely, its soothing.

All in all, I enjoyed the work enough to continue readying and now I'm hoping that new chapters get uploaded soon TuT <<less

Okay, for enjoyment factor, if you're just looking for fluff it can't be denied there's a lot of fluff here. However, I personally don't like it.

The MC just makes me uncomfortable. I've never had a deep relationship with anyone who might have cognitive limitations, so I can't say how true to reality this story is. If I knew, perhaps I would change my review. However, solely from my perspective as a reader, there's a lot of things about how his character is written that makes me dislike the story.

He's way... more>> too simple / dull. It's not as noticeable in the beginning, but it takes him 10 minutes to absorb the information in one sentence. He's a 24-year-old (I think) man on the inside, not a 6-year-old child. It's one thing if it's a story about someone with learning disabilities succeeding in life, but I don't think this is since it's more like a Cinderella story where success is defined as "married rich".

I also have mixed feelings about his relationship with ML. It feels like ML got a pet instead of a spouse. MC's affections are way too simple, too easily manipulated. As far as I've read, ML treats him well and doesn't intend on influencing him, but it feels like he's a child. Like if they ever went to bed, I would want to call the pe*o police.

The writing / translation and overall story also feel simple. This doesn't really have any distinguishing traits, and the prose isn't particularly well written. Overall I find it average, and paired with my earlier complaints (plus why would they let young masters get married with males??? Putting aside h*mophobia, elders would value lineage by blood!!), I think 2 stars is quite generous. <<less

I absolutely love this story. Despite the MC (Meng Ting) having a learning disability (?) or it's stunted simply from trauma, he's 1000 times smarter than most reincarnating MCs. He isn't unbelievably crafty; he's a foodie; he doesn't allow misunderstandings to happen. No one can imagine how much I despise love triangles and misunderstandings.

His family is terrible and ML's (Yan Sui) mom is tr*sh, although it confuses me as to why she is the way she is.

Spoiler

I hate Meng Qi, and I'll never like him because he tried to mol*st Meng Ting the first time they met. Su Siyu may be reincarnated, but he's dangerously s*upid with how much he acts like a typical reincarnator by trying to steal other people's work and success (the perfume recipe). He's just asking to be destroyed because he doesn't know anything about business.

[collapse]

Spoiler

I don't think the MC is dumb at all. He's pitiable, but it was mentioned that he made perfume and was top of his class in university. His family made him believe he was s*upid, and so he limits his own potential. I'm waiting for Meng Ting's moment of gaining self-confidence.

The relationship between the MC and ML can be described in one word: harmonious.

The MC is incredibly simple, a bit slow and naive, but also very devoted and loving. He's 'Meng' but not in a cringey or over the top kind of way. The ML is also very doting towards his 'wife' and I'd say is more of an 'herbivore' than a 'carnivore' which is a nice break from the typical overbearing CEO. Don't get me wrong he can be overbearing, but in a more realistic way. Their dynamic is... more>> unlike a lot of other BL couples and I found their relationship really refreshing.

Overall the story has a very comfortable and domestic feel, though the plot is a little disappointing, it's perfect for a light-hearted read. Very fluffy, uncomplicated, and satisfying if you're looking for a chill novel. <<less

Other than some complex backstories and skeletons in the closet, there is nothing but love between our OTP. The MC is so pure, straightforward, and honest. He is very blunt, but never in a malicious way. It's hard to play tricks and dig into the rice bowl when the owner is too honest (but not at all dumb) and the rice bowl is too devoted (and uninterested). People try to scheme but our ML is just too intimidating. People want to bully our MC but his martial arts is too... more>> op. What do you, as a reader, get out of all this? A cute and fairly easygoing romance you can enjoy just for the romance. Intrigue be damned. <<less

No rating, because I don't know whether to rate 5 to say fk you to the people with the R-word allegations, or 1 star to remind people who have rated highly that the story is still poorly written.

The premise of the story is interesting, I think a lot of people don't realise that neurodivergent people are common, and not all neurodivergent people fall under autism, down syndrome, etc. Because of the ab*se of the R-word, it has been pulled back from medical education as well, and instead the term "intellectual... more>> disability" is now used. So to all the people hating on MC for being "s*upid", I hope you have children and they show you what "s*upid" is. (Because people like you are more likely to have children than "smart" people)

As for the writing, its abysmal. And no, its not the translation. The author has no sense of what building a story is.

MC has intellectual disability, thats fine. The problem is - ML just sees him once and finds him pleasant, random brother sees him once and finds him pleasant, person lecturing MC looks at him and thinks beauty is a sin.

As beautiful as someone might be, thats not how easy the world is.

And the author thinks that by calling MC s*upid, a waste, unwilling to expend effort; everything they write makes sense. It does not. The writing is sloppy and bad. You took a good premise and gave it to someone who can't convey it. Wasting the whole thing.

Tl;dr Do not read if you are looking for a feel good logical story. Not because of whatever reason anyone else gave, but because reading this causes you to feel annoyed at how poorly the author wrote it, and the feel good is just forced feelings. If you just wanna look at words and point fingers while your brain is offline, this can be considered a worthy read. <<less
