[Dual Female Leads + Marriage Before Love + Pregnant and on the Run + Possessive Male Lead + Mutual Loyalty/No Past Lovers]

They say making money is hard, and eating sh*t is harder. Jiang Huaiyue and her bestie were filming a cheesy drama when they got into an accident—and woke up inside the brand-new script.

The good news? Jiang is a princess, and her BFF is the daughter of a prime minister.

The bad news? They’re both cannon fodder fated to die horribly.

In the novel, the male lead is the emperor—a man with irresistible charm that drives every woman who sees him mad with love, including his own half-sister: the original host.

To support her beloved royal brother, the original Jiang was ordered to marry the ruthless, devilishly handsome regent Pei Ji. Knowing she was a spy sent by the emperor, he turned her into a living corpse—cutting off her nose, gouging out her eyes, stuffing her with bugs, and tormenting her to death.

As for her bestie? She framed the heroine, got poisoned mute by the emperor, sent to the army, and died miserably of disease.

Now trapped in this nightmare, Jiang Huaiyue struggles to survive under Pei Ji’s terrifying gaze, but this madman keeps getting more obsessed with her.

She pretends to obey him—while planning her escape. Her best friend fakes her own death, abandons her resurrected general husband, and runs away with her.

Years later, in a remote mountain village far from the capital…

Pei Ji arrives, eyes bloodshot:

“Your Highness, you really made me look for you.”

Jiang Huaiyue’s lashes flutter. She glances at the tiny figure behind her, too guilty to speak.

Her bestie cuts in without missing a beat:

“Baby, come on, let’s go play outside with Mommy.”

But before she can leave, a certain man pins her to the wall:

“Whose bastard kid is that? Do I even matter to you, your husband?”

I really enjoyed the novel — it's interesting, dynamic, and kept me engaged. I especially liked that two friends transmigrated together, could rely on each other, yet ended up on different paths. Despite that, they remained strong together and faced all challenges side by side. I also appreciated that the male leads were best friends, and that we got to see some insight into the love lines of their friends as well.

Unfortunately, the novel isn't fully translated yet, so I hope the rest will be available soon — I'm eager... more>> to continue reading. The only downside is that the translation quality isn’t perfect. Each chapter contains several errors, and some words are mistranslated, which can be distracting. <<less
