Heaven and Earth serve as the guesthouse for all living things, with Time being the sojourner since time immemorial.

As with the difference between dreaming and awakening, the distinction between life and death is diverse and confused, and changing.

What awaits us beyond time, once we have transcended life and death, heaven and earth?

Xu Qing’s world sank into deathly silence after the descendence of “God”. Master cultivators brought the human race and escaped the continent, and the remaining people struggled to survive. Every place that was met by “God’s” gaze had nearly all life forms wiped out.

Young Xu Qing was lucky enough to survive. But in a world where ferocious beasts roamed and infighting was rampant within the human race, it was difficult to survive.

“If cultivation doesn’t give me the power to fight against God, then I shall become God myself!”

This is a story of how a human teenager became a god, step by step, to survive

Some concepts are pretty dark. Seems like most people on both sides are evil and cruel-natured. It's just whoever is stronger. MC is also pretty evil, he uses his enemies' souls to power up. One of his elders also refines enemies into pills to eat. MC also eats it too.

[collapse]

Nevertheless, this story has great world-building plus characterization. While reading, you can immerse yourself into the new world that Er Gen built.

Spoiler

As of chapter 220, there is no romance. But there are female characters that show that they like MC. MC doesn't respond so far.

It's ok so far, comedic undertones that make you smile once in a while, but it's overshadowed by the amount of killing/mu*dering going on. Some are justified, but it falls into the same category as every other Xianxia where one person from a sect/race does something so now everyone has to die and not just the person responsible, The difference is the amount of detail that goes into it, it's not just this person slapped my face and now he has to pay, more like this person mu*dered one of... more>> the only people I liked so now I have to take revenge. It's also only non-human races that does something wrong, never humans, which gets old pretty quick. Not to say that humans don't get killed by the MC, but all large scale killings are of non-humans.

The MC has changed in some ways but not for the better I would say, in the start he was very curious about learning new things but in these later chapter the only thing he does is fight fight fight fight fight, you get a glimpse every once in a while of him being curious but it's overshadowed by how cruel he is becoming.

3/5 stars for now, might update later. <<less

I don't usually write reviews and English is not my first language so bare with me, thanks.

I don't know why the translator choose 'outside of time' as the title for Ergen's new book, I feel that 'beyond time' sounds more philosophical and rolls of the tongue better.

'outside of time' feels like the authors first book 'renegade immortal' giving a cold, merciless and dark over-view to the fictional world, the protagonist 'Xu Qing' is a loner, distrustful and suspicious of everybody, rightfully so, growing up in a harsh world where death... more>> can find you at any corner.

The author is taking a change of pace this time, unique world building with supernatural elements akin to western books, it doesn't give read like his previous novels, it gives a post-apocalyptic feel.

The authors reputation is rightfully deserved, I could not find any major clichés, no over-the-top comedy like his previous books awe and awwp, no jade-like beauties to capture or young masters on every corner to fill up word count either.

Shoddy translators dividing chapters. (͡❛ ▭ ͡❛) <<less

I have to say, I am disappointed with this novel.

It started strong, with MC trying to survive in an eerie post-apocalyptic world. There is a strange energy that will kill you if you do not eat medicine, creatures are rampant outside cities that kill people in strange ways, etc.

Then he also gets a cheat that can heal him from any injuries, and essentially nullify all effects of the energy or strangeness of these creatures. He also learnt enough medicine in weeks from a mortal to beat all medicine masters on the continent later.

He then goes to this sect and becomes the most talented person there, since the strange energy will make cultivation very slow. He even completes Qi refining within weeks, and no one wonders how he can do all these things. This continues until the end.

This continues until much, much later. Somehow, every place he joins (The initial sect, than human race, than immortals in another place much later) has a galaxy brained plan which will be implemented with MC as the key pawn. And they all were succesful. This continues until the very end.

I especially do not like his mindset. He is like a robot who stands still, and kills you if you threaten him. No beauty will move him, but boy do they flock to him. Also, his arrogance. He will treat people at 3 cultivation realms above him as equals. And Er Gen was generous in his plot armor, so may be he can really kill them.

Er Gen also gave up explaining many ideas. Like, what is the secret behind MCs senior brother? How do gods control the starry sky and cultivators ground? Why cannot immortals become as powerful as gods? What is up with the crystal? Why does MC have these weird soul corridors?

The ending is forced and hurried, just like all other Er Gen novels. He literally jumps 2 realms to kill people. But he still is not promoted to higher realm, so I don't know if chapter 1354 is the end. And there is this forced linking with his other novels. Unsatisfactory.

Er gens best work, the best MC with the best relations yet

interesting world with a facinating background and for the first time in er gen history well written female characters

only setback is that imo beyond the timescape (as its name in ww) required a bit of previous xianxia knowledge and is not quite as beginner friendly as issth or awe

i believe this novel will end up being considered his best work yet and potentially might surpass issth

I loved Er Gen's previous work (issh, renegade immortal and awe), and given the reviews, I was certain I would love this one too. I was so wrong.

The events take place in a barren, poisoned wasteland of a world and follows an unfeeling/emotionally crippled MC.

The story can be summarized as this : MC goes to some random location, random people try to rob and kill him and he kills them. Repeat. That's it. That's the essence of the story.

There is no build up to anything. The characters getting killed almost... more>> never have any background, story or name. They usually don't get any lines either.

I don't mind killing, but this is just senseless killing that serves no purpose and doesn't advance the story. Is this even a story ?

There are no side characters that have a meaningful impact on the story. Up to the point I have read, all secondary characters got used for a couple of chapters then got thrown away as if they never existed.

There are some "jade beauties" that throw themselves at MC, but he's too socially ret*rded to even understand the nature of the interaction.

Some people praise the world building, but I have invested hours and I still haven't seen any.

It's so bizarre that the same author that wrote issh and renagade immortal would also write this. <<less

I am an avid fan of the xianxia/xuanhuan genre. Outside of Time is maybe my favourite novel in the whole entire genre. Compared to numerous other works I've read, it's kind of different

Some of the things I love about this novel:

  1. Xu Qing's (MC) personality.
XQ isn't a reincarnated, old, wise character, or an awkward, transmigrated one who somehow adapts to the situations they are in way too quickly. Nor is he like IET's MCs, who are literally carbon copies of each other and super unrealistically mature for their age. He's also... more>> not a naive, brainless, shounen MC. I feel like Er Gen has really tried hard to make Xu Qing somewhat natural yet fitting for his situation; he's ruthless, calm and decisive enough to be able to survive relying on himself in this kind of dark world, yet we can really see his age of 14 years old (start of novel) through his emotional immaturity.

We can really see his flaws; he's not a good socialiser, there are many things he doesn't understand and he's very uncompromising about certain things. But these made him feel so much more real to me than many other MCs. He's also very likeable in many ways; he treats the people who treat him well like precious treasure and he's unfaltering.

While his personality doesn't develop very much throughout the novel, even as he learns more about the world, I feel it doesn't need to. The novel has already started at a point where XQ had seen the cruel and disgusting aspects of the world, killed, lost everything and faced major calamity not once, but twice
Spoiler

The god opening its eyes

[collapse]
. He's very consistent with his set character throughout the story; every action he takes makes sense with who he is.

This is partially a personal preference, but I adore Xu Qing. I love him a lot.

2. The structures and arcs of the plot, as well as the uncovering of more info

While this is very much a weak to strong progression xianxia, and most of the arcs/situations that XQ ends up in do further his cultivation/significance in the world, the arcs are more than just that. They slowly unfold different parts of the world/plots and schemes that XQ wasn't strong enough to know of before, and so there's no info-dumps, just sensible, immersive discoveries while the plot progresses. Many plots around when he actually gets strong enough to become significant in the human empire point subtly towards big mysteries and sinister plans happening under everyone's noses, and I'm excited to find out what they are.

3. Side characters and Villains

While some side characters do fade into obscurity, others remain important even with XQ's ungodly cultivation speed.
Spoiler

Like his eldest senior brother, who actually keeps up with him through a reincarnated great figure tope and Ling'er, who doesn't contribute in strength but as a ray of sunshine. There's also Ning Yan and Wu Jianwu, who appear many times both for comedic relief and meaningful scenes (I mean Ning Yan here, cause Jianwu is just a lovable clown most times lol). And of course, people like his master and Huang Yan are significant.

[collapse]

Villains, on the other hand, aren't dumbasses, and there are generally no young master chains or the like for no reason. Villains and XQ get into conflict due to conflicting interests or because they underestimate XQ and XQ can be quite hilariously petty sometimes because of his habits. There are also loads of huge, epic villains that XQ is constantly still trying to figure out and biding his time to get rid of, and complex characters that XQ and the reader still can't figure out if they're enemies or not.

Some of the things I think could be done better:

  1. XQ progresses fast, maybe a little too fast
XQ quite literally speedruns cultivation, and sometimes it makes it less believable
Spoiler

spirit repository at 22 is kinda just wow

[collapse]
. But tbh I can accept it, it makes the story much more exciting than if there was slow progression, and he courts death to do crazy stuff with the captain every single time to get such improvement, so its kinda fair. If I'm really being honest, I don't understand how XQ and the captain aren't 6 ft under yet lol. They're actually really lucky.

2. All the girls fall for him for his face, but it doesn't contribute to the story

XQ is like, really really darned beautiful apparently, cause loads of girls he meets falls for him. It's slightly annoying. He doesn't look like he's ever gonna start a harem (thank god) and he only ever really responds (both emotionally and physically) in a romantic way to a single love interest, so it really doesn't do anything to further the plot and these girls are kinda just there. So. I enjoy the visualisation of XQs perfect face, but really these girls are redundant.

All in all, I love XQ and I really enjoyed reading Outside of Time. There are lots of epic scenes and also some really funny parts of the story. Definitely try reading it.

And other people in the review section who've had issues with XQ's character being inconsistent/changing, ???? He's legit the most consistent character. He's not that complicated either. He's grateful and soft to people who are good to him, he kills people who provoke him. He considers strength and progress important. That's it.

Spoiler

and that one person who had an issue with him having light in his heart from the door, kinda understand you but at the same time I don't think Er Gen meant that light = morality. I think he meant XQ's attitude, character and motivations are pure and simple, in a strange way.

I would rate this novel 3.5 -- it exhibits the same flaws as Renegade Immortal, I Shall Seal the Heavens and A Will Eternal. Not really inventive as you say LOTM or RI.

To begin, romance was, and still is Er Gen's weak point. I dislike harem not because of harem, but how it is developed. A Will Eternal is genuinely okay for me, but here, Xu Qing doesn't take a conscious effort for his "seductions". He's too naive and the cultivation disparity just doesn't make much sense. Also it's s*upid.... more>> There are a couple of gag characters and we always have Xu Qing here being the handsome lad.

Then we have the worldbuilding and general fight scenes. Er Gen does a great job here, but it a bit generic when its always related to fighting a great enemy from the beyond and the glory of the human race. Especially when everyone NOT human is given no mercy as they've always treated humans worse. This is most likely the restrictions in China though, so I can't blame him.

Lastly, I enjoy the humor. There's the famous "sidekick" character and other characters have nice development. I do want to say this novel probably has the most plot armor out of all Er Gen books though. Xu Qing has his shares of tragedies, but they are mostly in the beginning. The master-disciple relationship here is a bit forced. I also can't think of Xu Qing having any genuine hardships.

Still an alright novel nevertheless. Take a go at it if you are new to these novels. <<less

Generally there is no real high point, there are good characters but also lots of characters are underdeveloped, there is a good plot however and no real plot holes as far as I could notice. I would say there is a lack of bad things, rather than a plethora of great things, which honestly from Er Gen is a surprising positive. Also the romance is my type hehe

As far as I could see it's only the Sect Master, if it's someone else, or harem, then the romance is SHIT!!!!!!! So don't do that.

A very good read which starts out very strong. I see most of the reviews are complaining this should be a 4.9 star read when in terms of enjoyment and plot progression, it's still a level below Lord of Mysteries and Reverend Insanity.

So lets start with the good:

  • A pragmatic, ruthless MC who is sentimental which helps the reader create emotional ties with him
  • An excellent side cast (mainly males)
  • A gritty plot set in a post-apocalyptic world which offers an alternative world building
  • Fleshed out plots with complicated side plots that merge together to produce a satisfying narrative
  • Translated by the gold standard author - DeathBlade
However, it has quite a few problems and because of these, I rank this novel below ISSTH and RI.

... more>> So what are the main issues:

  • A lot of the authors previous ideas are mish mashed together to form this story. For a long time the MC gains a variety of abilities with no cohesive direction until around chapter 1100.
  • Long flowery descriptions describing all the women as beautiful as jade and men handsome. It's fine a few times but expect these monotonous word salads to repeat every other chapter.
  • I said the complicated side plots can pull together for a satisfying conclusion? They do but they take far too long, say 50 hours worth of reading and by that time they aren't as impactful. Gu Ren Zhen (RI Author) is the master of this and Er Gen is still quite a bit short, primarily because he prefers word salads.
  • Er Gen still writes male-centric female characters - what I mean by this, is the female characters are boring or feel as if they were written by a male author. This makes them feel contrived. In contrast, the male characters are excellently done.
It's a good novel but if you binge it, it's easy to get burned out because the chapters are 2x longer than average cultivation novels. My personal issues are I don't like the world, the C tier romance and the lack of conventional cultivation arcs (secret realms, tournament arcs, auction houses, sect vs sect competitions, xianxia world elements etc).

This is a xuanhuan meaning if you're looking for a traditional cultivation novel then this may not float your boat. If you liked Beseech the Devil or Er Gen's gritter novels then you will like this. If you are looking for a slighty darker novel, you will probably like this. I don't agree with people saying this is Er Gen's magnus opum, it's a good read which starts out very strong but slowly loses momentum. 8/10

One minor spoiler if you read his other works and give context about this novel.

RI, ISSTH, AWE and BtD/PoT are all set in one universe. AWWP and this are set in another but they are connected. The ISSTH universe is basically a cultivators Universe while these novels are a God's Universe. Because these novels are told from the perspective of humans, you can see why the MC's will always start as struggling as the cultivation system is not based around them and they have to fight literal gods to get to the top. <<less

If you loved any of Er Gen's previous masterpieces, Renegade Imortal, Pursuit Of The Truth, I Shall Seal The Heavens and A Will Eternal, you will definitely love Beyond The Timescape. If you love Beyond The Timescape, consider reading Er Gen's other novels, especially Pursuit Of The Truth, which is similar in some regards in terms of tragedy.

Er Gen does an amazing job of depicting an apocaliptic world of cultivation, gruish and eerie, corrupted by the aura of a mysterious god. The story does not fail to deliver captivant plot... more>> and intense emotions when following the steps of Xu Qing, a young scavenger who has adapted to survive in this cruel world.

As of chapter 750, several clues link this novel with the other in Er Gen's universe. There might be several connections with A World Worth Protecting, another amazing novel written by Er Gen, whose translation was unfortunately dropped and replaced with MTL.

To prevent such sad scenarios, consider supporting BTT and other quality translations! Maybe, someday, we will also have a human translation for AWWP. <<less

I am giving 2 stars but only because it is written by Er Gen (which I am having a hard time to believe). Otherwise it is 1 star. When I started reading I was expecting a Lovecraftian cultivation setting however I was really disappointed to see that it wasn't being exlored much but rather it become a generic chinese cultivation novel. So much so that I had to make a double check to see if I was reading the correct novel and whether it was really written by Er Gen.... more>> Setting aside, MC is;

  • Ruthless (throat slashing fetish)
  • Emotionless
  • Has godly talent with everthing - Pills, poisons, cultivation (it is funny how easy it is for him lol)
  • Has godly looks, pretty face
  • Males become his enemy immediately while women threw themselves at him
  • Important characters immediately takes a liking to him because he is pure (lol no), faithful (depends really)
Considering the above points, the novel becomes a generic 2/5 Xianxia. I really wonder if I am reading the same novel with the people who gives 5 star rating as I don't really see how they see this as Er Gen's best work etc. Novelupdates has hundreds of novels like this one and they all have the rating of 2-3 stars. Compared to ISSTH (my fav Er Gen novel) or any other novels written by Er Gen, this one is easily in the last place for me. I can't believe this novel is written by Er Gen. <<less

Interesting work, but the MC starts with a cool concept and then becomes monotonous; he doesn't evolve. It's like a wall that, as the story progresses, is "learning" to show emotions.

At the lower levels of cultivation, when the MC enters the sect, it's mentioned that he's handsome (this is repeated throughout the entire story), but people don't care because, in the sect, it's all about survival of the fittest. Nice, that makes sense, and it really happens. But then the MC advances in cultivation, becomes stronger, and suddenly, all the... more>> women, whether of similar or stronger cultivation, start to find him attractive and give him things for free. That's when we see the formula: more strength, less brain.

Another thing that surprised me about this novel was the amount of zombies. I simply didn't like it.

Note: I'm only posting this review to remind myself where I left off, just in case I forget that I didn't like this novel and decide to come back to it for some reason. <<less

The story is filled with loopholes, very generic, one dimensional characters... reading this feels like a chore. Introduction

The novel sets a promising stage in a post-apocalyptic world where resources are scarce and survival is a constant struggle. However, as the narrative progresses, it transitions into a more generic Xianxia setting (after ~100 ch.), losing the unique flavor it initially offered.

Plot and Pacing

The cultivation of the main character, XQ, unfolds at an alarmingly fast pace without sufficient justification. This rapid progression robs the story of tension and consequences, as challenges are effortlessly overcome and dangers lack real impact. Despite the initial premise of a world under the watchful... more>> eye of a hindering God, this element fades into obscurity without meaningful exploration or resolution. Moreover, the narrative lacks significant time-skips, resulting in a lack of development and believability in the characters' growth.

Characterization

XQ's characterization presents a significant inconsistency. Despite the author's insistence on his humanity and purity, XQ consistently exhibits a dark and ruthless demeanor. This contradiction undermines the believability of his supposed kindness, making it challenging to fully invest in his character and the story. Furthermore, XQ's personality feels shallow and overshadowed by side characters who exhibit more depth and growth.

Spoiler

Later on, there is a treasure used by an enemy, having the effect of showing the person's true heart and punishing according to that, and when used on XQ, it shows a very bright light. What pure and kind heart? When all he does is kill / torture, it's not that you could say he's killing for justice, only doing that to bad people or defending himself. Revenge for him doesn't stop at the person causing it, and sometimes he kills everyone around those people, even from the first tens of chapters when he throws poison and makes the whole sect suffer for one person's actions. It is completely fine if he wanted to go for that kind of character, but that is just laughable how the author is forcing him to be such a pure and kind hearted person, full of humanity, when 99% his actions are the opposite of that. Not to mention that every chapter there's a character saying how baleful the aura around XQ is.

[collapse]

Romance and Relationships

The romantic subplot feels forced and incongruent with XQ's character, further highlighting the inconsistencies in his personality. The author's attempt to develop romantic entanglements lacks nuance and authenticity, detracting from the overall narrative coherence.

Spoiler

A 'Fairy' that is 100+ years old, hitting on a less than 20 years old kid, because he has a 'pure' heart, otherwise she is going to die if she doesn't find a partner to advance in cultivation with, while being assisted by the Captain and his Master, by sending letters under XQ's name, promising things to her, giving gifts using his name, all while this 'fairy' knows those letters aren't sent by XQ, pushing him into a situation he doesn't want to be in. Forcing this awkward romance that should simply not be done if it's going to be written this way. If you want to see a positive, at least there is no actual Harem. Instead, it's the typical MC aura making girls fall to their knees around him, giving resources repetitively to him for free.

[collapse]

World-building and Conceptual Execution

Initially, the novel introduces intriguing concepts, such as Lovecraftian elements, boat-cultivation, which add a layer of uniqueness to the narrative. However, these elements are underutilized and eventually abandoned, resulting in missed opportunities for world-building and thematic exploration. What begins as a promising departure from the typical Xianxia tropes gradually regresses into familiarity, diminishing the novel's potential for innovation.

Spoiler

Additionally, another flaw is that throughout the story, the treatment of non-humans is devoid of almost any importance, and after a point, all conflicts and large battles involve humans against these non-humans, with little exploration of their perspectives or significance to the plot. Humans are consistently positioned as central figures of significance, while non-humans are to be killed wantonly / made s*aves under the guise of being allies.

[collapse]

Conclusion and Recommendation

Despite its flaws, the novel may appeal to newcomers to the genre seeking a relatively engaging read. However, for seasoned readers, its lack of originality and inconsistent execution may prove disappointing. While the narrative offers occasional moments of comedy and intrigue, they are overshadowed by its fundamental shortcomings. Ultimately, while the novel shows promise initially, it fails to capitalize on its unique premise, rendering it a mediocre addition to the genre. <<less

I must say that this novel fell short in many ways where it shouldn't have. The plot felt like an experiment with a character design that seems popular among readers and which Er Gen tried to put his own spin on. This resulted in a story lacking suspense, filled with plot holes, and characterised by fundamental flaws in the design of its characters, as well as other issues. The world setting is captivating and surreal, did take hints from Lord of the Mysteries but it was special in its own... more>> way, and I just wish if he further expanded on it instead of wasting with everything else.

To avoid spoiling the novel too much, I will only mention that Er Gen chose to create a Lylin-like character who is cold, emotionless, but calculative and intelligent. However, this character's development was handled poorly. The author relied on one plot device after another to give the main character a "good" heart. For example, early in the story, he is lifted up by a loving grandpa, a kind medicine teacher, and someone that introduces him to the clan, followed by a revenge plot, which then simmers down once he joins a clan.

Once the protagonist becomes part of the clan, Er Gen almost completely abandons everything he used in the beginning and decides to start fresh with a new personality. This new personality is much colder, less approachable, and it feels like a whole different person from the original one we were introduced to earlier. The issue here is that these two arcs created two different characters, and we are supposed to treat them as one. And I will not even get started about the author tried to introduce a boat-like cultivation system only for it to be discarded as well and only used for "fast travel" to put it simply.

This inconsistency continues throughout the story, with critical instances such as a fight over a plate being made ever so important in the beginning only to be explained off later as an unimportant treasure chest. Or the characters he met in the beginning being all but recalled once every 30 chapters, but otherwise remain forgotten. Many other instances like this one keep appearing, from the cheat the protagonist had at the beginning forming consciousness to other aspects of his development.

In summary, this book feels like a mess, with inconsistent character development and plot devices that do not hold up. After reading almost 270 chapters, I must admit that unlike every other novel Er Gen has released, this will be the only one I leave unfinished. I am mildly disappointed to say the least. <<less

I really like MC's thoughts on how he doesn't care about how other people live their lives as long as it doesn't endanger his life. He's really petty when it involves his life.

I liked the MC before because he's motivation in everything he does is to just live ... more>>

. I guess it's character development whateva so other things became important as well but when I read a story, I don't really want the very main thing that made me persevere reading in the first few chapters to be gone for the sake of character development. I guess other people who specifically looks for character dev will like it but as someone who looks for an MC with a characteristic that I want but then it gets lost in the story, it's sad. I mean if I was looking for a story with an MC that protects the human race, treats friendship as something very important, etc. Depending on my mood then I will look for another story.

In addition, I don't like it when he became a

sword holder because again, what I liked about him is that he only cared about whether others will endanger his life but now he's one of the "protectors of the human race". I don't like that because now the main focus in on cruelty against nonhumans alone. He was pretty cruel to them before and to humans as well when there's need to be but now the story starts to revolve around fighting only nonhumans.

However, the real reason that I can't stand this story anymore is because of that

btch of an old hag purple mystic fairy. As a 100+ old hag, how can you fall for someone that barely lived for 2 decades? Oh, he's an adult now? Btch, you have way more authority, way more power and you're even fcking teaching him things like a teacher because he still don't know many things. You're in the same generation as his master tf.

It also makes me uncomfortable whenever she's near the MC and he smells this "fragrance". It's definitely not some dubious substance but definitely feels like one when it appears repeatedly and by the way its narrated. Author, maybe try to describe what kind of fragrance it is, like the smell of lavander, or whateeva kinda flower or even Eucalyptus oil + camphor + Menthol (vicks vapor rub) idc to make it sound less creepy nxt time?

I really hated her when she took advantage of the letter of Chen Erniu who pretended to be the MC and promise her "things" in that letter. She knew that the MC wasn't really the one who made it but emotionally blackmailed him by threatening to punish CE if "the letter's not real". CE was the one truly at fault here? Yes. But that doesn't make her any less infuriating and creepy.

I'm this triggered bc by the way the story's going, she's probably the FL, sht. This age gap with extreme power imbalance is something that can only be tolerated by me when I was 13 yrs old.

When she said that she never felt this way back in the day when she's being chased by so many men but now she's acting this way. I don't know man, maybe it's because you're actually a pe*o and the one's chasing you b4 are your age haha. I hate her so much, I'm literally willing to tolerate DX or GM as an FL even if they're also annoying and simple sheltered princesses. Heck, I'm even willing to tolerate that YY, just not that old hag.

"Am I really that old?" as a question when MC addresses her as senior hahahahha. I don't know, ask yourself?

[collapse]

I should have searched for this story in novelupdates first before reading it in webnovel haaaay so that I got the warning that it has romance in it and worse, a harem.

Authors, when you can't write a romance where the ML/FL is not annoying, don't include it.

Btw, I really want to laugh when YY said that the makeup room is the most important room for a woman. Really? Hahahahaha. I didn't know I'm supposed to treat a makeup room as the most important part of my house hahahs.

What a pity, this novel doesn't have transmigration, reincarnation, system or back to the past kineme so I really liked it.

I dont usually read this kind of thing bc I Honestly hate most power fantasy novels and I have to admit when you put all the shitty bullsh*t overpowered MC novels this one stands out but only if you look at it this way and thats why im putting 3 stars and not two

Basicaly after the old man death its downhill from there. The start was really good the crystal stuff was cool the shadow too I felt the emotion in every chapter I felt bad for the old man but I cant anymore

Chapters and chapters filled with bullsh*t and talks about how the MC is so powerfull, his f*ckin killing intent every two seconds and how he kills people and dont care bc hes so cold how he wants to prevent the enemy to pursue a possible vengeance. It gets to a point where you start to think this guy isnt cold hes straigh up paranoid

[collapse]

Its complete downhill after like chapter 70 I honestly Dont recomment it but maybe im just being too hard this novel is probably better than most novels. Its really great compared to all the sh*t out there but only when you look at it this way <<less
