It's a survival story and I'm always in for adventure story where the MC is decisive. It's very good compared to other novels, but I guess it became somewhat different when he entered the sect. It's good, but not as good as when he's at the scavengers camp.

It's just that the author seems to be obsessed with the MC's good looks because he's always emphasizing that when he describes him. Also, there's several unnecessary explanations about the appearance of females in the novel when they've got nothing to do about... more>> the plot, it's somewhat boring and I kept skipping those cause it's useless info. But overall, it's one of the most interesting and consistent novel that I found here so far. <<less

MC in early chapters is a bit as in Renegade Immortal, edgy, cold and a looner, but his character evolves slowly the further you read. MC has a soul and secondary characters are also well written. The world building is quite deep with lots of mysteries as in Er Gen previous novels, and thus it is definitely worth reading.

This novel is quite good compared to all those listed this year on NU, yet a lots of cultivation principles are not new at all if it's not your first Er Gen... more>> novel, which is why I rated it 4.5/5 instead of 5/5, but it is still a very good xianxia novel to read.

Also, translator cuts chapter into two or three (chapter 200 translated = chapter 130 raw) to get more money on WN, some words are also missing in sentences or badly translated, yet mtl quality is good, so you can directly go to the mtl to read it! <<less

It's a very stock standard Er Gen cultivation novel. It's an amazing throwback to original cultivation novels, and it feels great to read it now, especially with the rise of system novels. We finally get an MC with a "normal" cheat instead of a System that just gifts everything to an undeserving MC.

Unfortunately Er Gen's novels don't work well with harem's, and this is no different. Luckily there isn't a huge focus on romance, but I every chapter that includes on his harem members just reduces my excitement for the... more>> story a little more, up to now, where I'm now lukewarm overall on the story. It also doesn't help that the MC in this is a psychopathic rock. It's surprising he even has friends, much less love interests. <<less
