Seriously, why is this sooo good? Like excuse me? With the crack head energy in this novel, it had be laughing my ass off, but also feeling fluffy feelings for the cuteness of nie bufan and his ml's interactions... AND the s*x scenes? I wasn't expecting anything when I clicked on the first chapter, furthermore with the vague synopsis, but the plot was so funny it kept me going on. Ohoho... I thoroughly loved this, and every single chapter. Side Note: my favorite gong is the Emperor. Fight me but,... more>> I'll stay true to my choice hahahaha. <<less

Hahahaha this novel is very funny! This is my first time reading a Harem novel.. And first time reading a shameless MC Nei Bufan truly entertaining! Makes me laughing hard in the middle of the night!

Nie Bufan and Chicken Nest Village are absolutely hilarious, every chapter is enjoyable and leaves me smiling. Originally, I enjoyed the first few chapters so much that I dreaded the romance showing up, but NB's interactions with the MLs add to the hilarity. Unfortunately, once the smut really starts, there's not as much hilarity, though the author still tried to make the smut funny.

Y'know those guys in high school who play gay chicken? That's essentially Nie Bufan but taken to a more extreme gay p*rn-like extent. (Like, at one point he deliberately french kisses a guy at a party to ruin his reputation.) Most early smut scenes are a result of NB provoking the MLs, and the MLs giving up to become just as shameless as NB and take advantage of the situation. Later smut scenes are more dubcon-y, but are generally fine aside from the fact that the s*x is more like preteen fanfic level stuff where nobody understands how interc**rse and human bodies work. Tbh, I don't even know if it counts as dubcon since there are more than enough scenes where NB has enough and stops things using the classic "target the little guy".

In fact, I think c23 confirms that NB knows what he's doing and is actually deliberately riling the others up, so readers can at least rest easy knowing that it's not completely noncon, and may or may not even be dubcon. <<less

This is truly hilarious!!!

Don’t think about the smut, or the plot, or the romance. You’ll love this novel for the pure comedy with naughty scenes. The true star of this novel are those chicken. Really! I can imagine their naughty and snobbish face 😂😂😂

I read some of of the reader dislike the smut scene because of the r*ape tag, but I really pity the people who fall in love with MC and have no choice but “r*pe “ him to show their feeling toward this shameless heartless con artist man.... more>> I think MC is the most shameless MC I ever read. I laugh so many times till my jaw and my stomach hurts from his antique.

If you want a pure comedy to lighten your days, read this gem! Salute for the translator too! <<less

For the story I haven't read that much but so far I'm enjoying this a lot, the comedy is just so absurd but smooth that I can't help laughing a lot

I really like the MC too, I can't quite explain his character but definitely he's a good MC. Will probably update this review when I'm finished reading this. Will try to MTL later but definitely will come back to re-read the translation as... more>> well. <<less

Rated 5 stars for the hilariously unpredictable nature of the Chicken God, his adorable chickens, and all the ugly cackles I let out while reading this novel.

I believe the author and MC has a favourite ML and coincidentally I also like him very much lmao. Shout-out to Wang Wu for being the best ML for the Chicken God.

I honestly hoped for more interactions and sweetness between MC and the latecomers, but the ending is still pretty satisfying and cute. Plus, egg babies!

The protagonist is a crook, so crooked it’s hateful, but reading in a safe distance, it was not so insufferable as to drop the story. You’ll be entertained, certainly, if that’s what you’re looking for as a reader.

Behold, as the MC makes a fool of everyone with his way with chickens and his incomprehensible bottomline. He is bound not by ethics or manners or aesthetics, not even the ML (s) can be spared, so even worth lesser of consideration: the instigators. It’s a blessing that the MC was confined in... more>> a book, otherwise I would pity whoever has the misfortune to cross paths with him — I shudder at the thought of meeting a person like him in real life. “To eat one’s bitter fruit” and to suppress the “mad desire to scratch at the walls” may be a common phrasing in the novel.

Crooked MC may be, but he’s not ill-intended and bitter. Just shamelessly opportunistic, unethical, and mindlessly lighthearted most of the time. Other times he is tending to his Chicken Nest Village, which is completely harmless, except to those who come and seek trouble for themselves — which the ML (s) and the instigators did *shakes head* Oh, and there are occasions when he ventures out and offhandedly wreaks havoc and humiliating injury to the (now previously) reputable and dignified residents and travelers of the next town *that is, ruin a marriage opportunity, or ruin a kidnappers plot*. But only a third of the time (so far).

The translation did such a good job, and there was good flow as I read; the parts that were hilarious were delivered perfectly and made me straight up roll in bed with laughter at an ungodly hour of the night xd.

I’ve never thought this in my life — but I realized through this danmei that chickens can be endearing (?) !

*I couldn’t resist commenting as I progressed in this read, although usually I prefer to write a review after completely reading the novel*

I have read this story a while ago. This story came up after I was searching for other stories. I remember I have not rated it yet. It’s one of my favourite stories of all times even if I include all the genre.

I am so sad because I can't find any story as good as this. Specially in reverse harem genre. On top of that there aren't any good reverse harem stories. Most of the stories which claim to be reverse harem are either a story where the ML ends... more>> up being part of one soul or the MC at the end ends up with only one ML.I want a genuine reverse harem I like this. <<less

A very good novel with so much comedy. I absolutely loved it, it's a hidden gem

the only problem I have is with the ending.

The giving birth part just took away the emotional part of the story and made it seem like that was the reason some of the gongs returned and some even went back. Also Nei Bufan's backstory still had many mystries left unsolved.

Crack of epic proportions! It’s exactly the kind of story that is not meant to be taken too seriously, otherwise it wouldn’t be as fun LOLOL. My mood is currently wrong for such a novel so I’m gonna just let it go for now. The premise of the story is... well, it’s about a transmigrated MC and a magical mountain that can transform all animals into chickens. Other than the chickens, there are countless MLs looking to have chicks with him lol.

According to the reviews, this is a veritable harem. The MC is the shou and there are countless MLs. One should pay attention to the tags cause this involves r*pe — and it’s graphic (though not overly so). Apparently it gets a little smuttier after Ch. 25-30 or so.

4/5 it's really funny but all the r18 scenes made me uncomfortable since it's mostly rp... AND DOES LUBE N FOREPLAY NOT EXIST? all the scenes was done dry and it hurts just reading em... other then that it was not bad

Special mention for people who can't stomach harem, this novel might not be your cup of tea

Honestly every character, the MC MLs are fantastic, story, world building and everything is flawless to me. The MC is hilarious really I've yet read/met such characters in irl and written texts. Every chapter is hilarious, there might be some foreshadowing of some angst but don't frett it's full of fluff, happiness and everything happy. I really enjoyed reading this ahhshsh the characters are so funny. Definitely... more>> loved this. If you're okay with harem do give it a read <<less

Comedic shennanigans. Not a novel to be taken too seriously. It has many shortcomings but it is a fun novel to read.

The MC's obliviousness gave me so much second hand embarrassment that I dropped it. I went in with high hopes looking at the other comments, but the things that the MC did were completely without any regard for societal norms and just made me cringe really badly. Couldn't find comedy anywhere and can't tell why the MLs like him. MC is definitely not the cute kind of oblivious, and is instead very obnoxious.

I want to thank the translator for translating this. They did a good job, it's not a heavy story, it's funny to read just how shameless and chaotic is MC and his army of chickens. The only thing that irks me is the smut scene is non-con or at least dub-con and I am kinda annoyed that the MLs blame MC for 'cheating' and seducing others, when they are the one who are pressuring him to do it?

You have to be in the mood for this type of story. This is a true harem story and everything that happened aren't meant to be taken seriously. It's a light-hearted, humorous, and nonsensical story. I enjoyed it and got some good laugh out of some of the ridiculousness.

The smut scenes are pretty short, but plentiful. Not very detailed, but also not vague either. Although, I would've like it to be longer and more detailed, but I'm just happy it's not glossed over it heavily censored.

And this one was really FAITHFUL to the tag. Harem, comedy, smut~ Something that really RARE in danmei. My old fujoshi soul was SATISFIED.

Love the gongs, all lovable~ And it has one of the best ending ever ~
