I am the developer of the reverse harem game “God’s Play,” which is about to be released.

One day, when I suddenly lost consciousness and woke up, I possessed the villainous princess [Therese] of the game I made.

So far it's the only villainess novel with constellations and a broadcast which makes it interesting. The MLs were fine at first, but when they fell in love with her, they lost all their personality. If you were to change their name, I wouldn't notice. You can only tell the difference because the author is always reminding you of their past or their position in society, if you take their actions and words to differentiate them it's almost impossible.

Another thing is that at the start you think she is going... more>> to be strong and independent, but that never really happens.

The only things she does for months are learning magic and studying to get better grades. But anytime she has to fight and it matters she doesn't have magic. Literally anytime she falls into a dungeon she can't use magic there!

Of course, when that happens she gets her love story with one of the male leads that protects her and then she sacrifices herself at the end. But she can't really fight for herself, there is always something. Or she can't use magic, or she has negative ailments or she is tied to follow the story of the dungeon.

Anytime it matters she can't use her magic and someone has to save her, be the MLs, a random character or her magical butterfly that she can't understand. Well at least you can say that the last one is herself, kinda. It's just that she doesn't mean to do that so it's like she is helpless.

This happened three times, it already felt old the second time. If they fall into a dungeon together then they are having they romance story there, and then you won't see that ML again for a while.

The novel was interesting to read, but there were just too many stories within stories, each with different male leads and dimensions. It was intriguing, but also overwhelming due to the sheer amount of information. I was already confused — yet somehow, the main character seemed perfectly fine with everything?

This novel is kinda similar to Privilege Of Transmigrator (without regressor ML) but a mediocre novel with mary sue FL.

I thought FL is strong coz the premise is good not until she is becoming annoying with her dramatic inner dialogue and embarrassing actions. She's always bragging that she is the creator of the game but dvmb about how cunning her own characters are. She couldn't even manage her own facial expression everytime she faces something serious. There's nothing special about her beside using magic and kinda smart. I don't even... more>> get to like her character. ML starting to like her with just simple cliche reason like "She changed" blah, blah. The author connecting the ML's and FL with each other is so forceful like the author did it for the sake of the plot. Even the mission penalty of her are all absurd.

I even hate the channel manager. He is a tr*sh and unlikeable as one of the ML's. Also what the hell is wrong with the author when she wrote the part about the channel manager always kissing her without her permission and force her doing it when she decline and look disgusted. Do they think it's cute? That's s*xual harrassment.

Imma drop this novel now. I hope the final ML isn't the channel manager coz bish that's disgusting. <<less

A solid story, not much happens, but she has family drama and I like how she handles things, I'm pretty sure things are going to escalate soon, and I love such a cool headed-mc

Those who didn't read past 100 chaps wouldn't understand why it's rated nicely and that this is a drama to begin with. If drama is not your cup of tea, move along. Nobody appreciate your presence here.

I'm satisfied with the ML.

And I like how each character has a reason to like her unlike what someone claimed that "FL ML forcefully connected". Maybe illiterate, couldn't read that there's that affection level indicator. Everyone can be friends, how's that a forceful connection?

I love the story, the plot, and the fact that our MC is not actually dense to the point of s*upidity but just a normal kinda dense that's within normal human's capacity. You'll know if u actually meet real human.

I love that she's not the generic "strong at the beginning, trying to be heartless, but ended up weak when it comes to ML". She IS strong, she doesn't disregard human relationships. As a person, I found her strong mentally and emotionally

Like when she lost 'Damian', I broke down. I don't think I could do the same if I was her. It was short couple hours for her but her feelings was there and I love how the author convey that love between them. That version of Damian never existed anymore, and she doesn't blindly project that 'Damian' on the real Damian either.

and the way she dealt with people was, imho, very favorable. She's not so petty that it feels unreal and feed delusional minds. She's a victim of this all situations but in the end she got what she wanted and the one who put her in misery got his comeuppance.

All in all, I love this novel and the toxic males are just some tragic existences that I feel like "yeah those kind of men do exist, but I'm not human if I fall for them irl." <<less

I can't stop reading. I'm so addicted to BJ Villainess, and I'm not sure why. Probably because it has layers within layers of world building and character development. There's also a hot, creepy antagonist that's a little bit obsessed with the FL. The author also structures the story in a way that all the male love interests get their own arch, but are also present throughout the story. It's not like other harem stories where the protagonist conquers the love interest and then we never hear about them again. Because in fact, amongst all the MLs, he's the only one who's less tr*shy, less scummy and less forceful. I also like their chemistry from enemies > rivals > partners > lovers. Unlike the others, he doesn't force the FL to comply with what he wants, instead he helps her from behind and struggles to give her the freedom she wants.

This is quite a good concept and although there are some places that need a better execution, I'm quite satisfied with the plot, world building and story. Not going to reread it, though. <<less

So throughout the story. I like it. The MC is understanding and realistic compared to many other MCs in the isekai genre. Like for an example, at near the beginning of the novel we got introduced to FLs father, Raul.

Normally in many manhwas/webnovels people will get mad at the terrible parents who mistreated the villainess. But in this case the MC and myself don’t blame the parents (especially Raul) for the way they act because we both understand that they’re victims of their circumstances — hatred towards the villainess since... more>> MC and her team programmed/created them to act that way to boost how evil the villainess is in “God’s Play”

Saying this because I know for sure when the manhwa adaptation comes out people will hate on the parents a lot, but they do become better through time. Trust. <<less

Cliche but fresh enough to keep me invested even after 200+ chapters

The world view is larger than the generic villainess stories and there is still no clarity about who will be the ML and it's still got good enough suspense to keep it going.

It started like a normal story but now it's actually way better than many stories I read. Not the best but it's peak entertainment 🍿🍿

Update: caught up to all the free chapters, it just became even better. Everything is getting tied up nicely. I'm satisfied with the... more>> endgame and the ML. Can't read side stories yet, but I hope we get other MLs end routes too.

I don't have much experience with this genre because I usually read novels like lord of the mystery and orv and similar webnovels.

I do however think it has an interesting premise and FL, I find it can be slow at times and think some of the relationships seem a little inappropriate for this type of genre. It has a great hook and greatly reminds me of ORV which I appreciate. Despite that ... more>>

It takes a while for the story to develop, but I really started to enjoy the interactions between characters. I especially like how Theresa is always teasing Mimosa, her frenemy, and taking care of people while teasing them unmercifully. I like her honesty, as much as she is able to be honest, and always talking back to people when she's able to. Surprisingly, I think I like Professor Ilya the best out of the male leads, it's funny to me that the Emperor is barely mentioned. Ozworld is kinda hot... more>> but

This book is.... Good enough. Although I hate it. It's a contrived piece of harem tr*sh. All the MLs are your typical tr*sh tropes. The situations are always being conveniently manipulated into some messed up sense of romantic (like a lot of s*upid romance novels). The Oz dude is annoying whenever he shows up. The MC is "intelligent" but always picking up the idiot ball. Really want to know why the MC is always being such a dramatic clown.

It's an enjoyable read when compared to past villainess novels I've read. I disagree with the other reviews on the MLs switching up because she's changed. It's not a sudden 180 degree switch-up in interest; it's subtle and makes sense. One male lead hates her even more for a considerable part of the story AFTER she changes and another one only gains interest in the first place because of his job.

Her family moments are cute and she doesn't seem "unprepared" when encountering dungeons. However, the only dungeon arc I've completely... more>> read is the first one so I don't know how the rest match up. But the settings of the first dungeon make sense in limiting her.

One critique I do have with the story is about what her main objective is for completing the broadcast's overall mission. The author seems to sprinkle in information on why something happens only when it is relevant so it feels like a cop out or an excuse on why the protagonist doesn't do something. Like she wants the key to paradise but only one key is available each month? I don't see much of the plot going towards this important development.

Another critique is that she is a bit of a Mary Sue. I was a little disappointed when the novel made it so that animals hated the original Theresa but now the magic animals love the changed Theresa. There was a valid explanation for it but it still felt like an excuse for the protagonist to get a power-up.

It's a great read though and I like it a lot. The protagonist is fun and I find her likable. <<less

Maybe it's because I've never read any stories like this before, but I love this novel as it shows how she tackles every mls and each male leads has their own stories and backgrounds that shows the depth of their characters.

Other than that, I love how Theresa stays consistent in her dislike towards Ozworld which is understandable as he has the most tr*shy personality among all the male leads

So far so good, I've read novels with similar tone as this one. This one is mild in my opinion. There was this comment says MC craving for love is unnecessary when her goal is to get enough coins and that Family affection is only a hindrance.

You need to understand her past and what she had gone through molded her to be what she is today. And desiring familial love has been connected to her past. It was mentioned many times in her dialogues, and there was this comment saying... more>> she was "victimising herself" girl fr! She was the victim alright if you consider her og self.

And when she became Theresa, she said she didn't blame her father who's so harsh to her it frustrates me and many others. Because that's how they we're programmed because she entered her game you know.

Also neglect is also ab*se so remember that.

There was this part that got me crying so bad.

So there was this chapter where MC got drunk so much. Her father went to the school without her knowing and was mad to see she was drunk. She laughed and requested to walk hand-in-hand with her father, but her father piggybacked her, I thought it's gonna be wholesome. But no.

"That's why... I feel like I've become... a less pitiful person for today... "

You should read it, it's chapter 40. Hurts so bad I can't move on.

Edit: now I'm in ch 104, things were great, everyone has improved and many of MC's relationship to others has changed for the better. Also the MLs are showing character development, well maybe 2 of them.

Not a personal fan of the Ml’s so far. Treating her like garbage and switching up because ‘oh she changed’

it also doesn’t make sense for some people to be forgiving her so fast, seeing as how she was an actual bully in the past.

The idea is good, similar premise to ORV without the apocalypse and more romance.

She’s a little bit of an idiot, thoroughly unprepared and some things don’t make sense, but the romantic plot is so fun to read that I do have to finish it.
