Yoochan, who impulsively visits a tattoo shop, meets Jungeol, a skilled but reserved tattoo artist, by chance. Yoochan has money, time, and passion, but for some reason, it’s very difficult for him to get a tattoo from the demanding Jungeol.

“I’ll go now. I’ll send you DMs sometimes, so don’t ignore them and reply well. And please like my posts.”

“I’ll think about it.”

Even though the tattoo shop has a policy against tattooing minors, Yoochan tries to persuade Jungeol with his usual charm.

“Don’t think about it, just do it. And you have to give me a tattoo later. I’ll visit again during vacation if I have time.”

“Come back in two years, it’s annoying.”

“I’ll send you DMs, Jungeol!”

Jungeol firmly refuses, saying he’ll do it in two years.

I went to the shop, but you weren’t there. They said you went to the US? Have a great time. I’ll visit again later haha

But as Yoochan persistently pursues, Jungeol’s closed heart starts to open little by little…

“Come here for a second.”

Jungeol stood still without moving. With a mix of slight dissatisfaction and longing in his eyes, Yoochan looked puzzled and slowly walked towards Jungeol, staggering.

Seeing Jungeol standing crookedly by the bed, Yoochan let out a long sigh, feeling his stomach churn from the alcohol, and then happily grabbed Jungeol’s cheek and said,

“Listen, I have something to tell you.”

Jungeol silently stared at Yoochan with narrowed eyes. Yoochan wrapped his heavy arm around Jungeol’s waist and said,

“Why do you say I’m reckless?”

Yoochan added, looking slightly hurt,

“Even if I seems reckless, can’t you trust me and meet me?”

Not noticing Jungeol’s clenched teeth, Yoochan closed his eyes and playfully muttered,

“…I really like you…”

The MC, Yoochan, is a lovable idiot. That's the best way I can describe him. The novel opens up with him deciding to get a tattoo ... more>>

but due to being a minor (and thankfully), the tattooer, Jungeol, sent him away. Two years later they coincidentally meet again and Yoochan still wants a tattoo, but he has no clue what he wants. Based on their first meeting, Jung thinks Yoochan is reckless and will regret getting a tattoo, so he delays giving Yoochan a tattoo for as long as possible. While Yoochan tries to figure out what he wants, he regularly visits the tattoo shop, growing closer to Jung.

Honestly, I truly enjoyed seeing Yoochan fall in love with Jungeol and not-so subtly pursuing him. Yoochan was so genuine with his feelings but such a novice and sometimes he'd take not-so great advice from his friends, and I would legit have to shake my head. Luckily, Yoochan's naivety and impulsive nature made him the perfect match for Jung, who was calm, cool, & collected and had the patience of a saint. While Yoochan went a mile a minute, Jung was great at reeling him back in so he wouldn't go off the rails. Their relationship growth and coupling didn't feel forced at any point. The only reason I didn't give this novel 5 stars is because I wish we got to see an epilogue or extra chapters of them after years of being together. By the time the book ended, they had spent more time apart than together.
Spoiler

Shortly after getting together, Yoochan had to go to the military. After he was discharged, he then went to an athletic facility 90mins away, so they were seeing each other 2-3 times a week.

I wanted to see them settled down and perhaps an older, more mature Yoochan. Other than that, I really didn't have too many complaints. They were such a sweet, non-angsty couple. There were no big fights or unnecessary breakups, and even when there were moments where one of them would overthink, they always found a way to talk it out. Yoochan was all-in when it came to their relationship, and once Jung realized Yoochan wasn't impulsively jumping into a relationship with him, he was all-in too. I would definitely suggest this book to other people. <<less

I love this novel so much T___T

First of all, I know at some point the cliché was bottom=younger guy and the top the older but in recent years (or maybe it was just my personal preference) I felt like the norm was younger guy = top, so to me this felt refreshing in that sense. Like I was fully expecting our MC to be the top (honestly that was kinda naive of me because seme protagonists are a rare gem).

There isn’t any kind of big drama or miscommunication which I... more>> appreciate so much, the story was just good, the characters are likeable, the story moves smoothly, at a nice pace.

Another thing that I absolutely LOVE is that our MC falls first, omggg I just love that, but it’s not like he was in love since before, he just starts liking the ML as the story progresses, so I wouldn’t consider what he had like a one side crush, because i’m just tired of those stories tbh.

The MC is so cute T^T even tho he’s such a big guy lol I just can’t, and reading all his pursuing just made me realize that I need to read more stories like this... come on, it was so fun and endearing

this one will be one of my favorites, and i’ll defend it with my heart >///< such a nice gem <<less
