Song Yu Xi is a tasker.

The system told her that she has a great and glorious task on her shoulders – to save the world!

Song Xu Yi is dedicated to her work, remembering the first rule of the Fast-Travel Code of “no love”, and is dedicated to reforming the world-ending villain and strengthening the power of the protagonist, but she never thought that every world would develop in an unpredictable direction:

The beautiful and charming villainous movie queen hugged Song Xu Yi’s neck and breathed like an orchid: “Kid, why do you always blush when you see me?”

The sickly and delicate villain Omega raised Song Xu Yi’s chin: “My dear Miss Song, how does it feel to have an Alpha become an Omega?”

The cold and beautiful villain student sneered and put the five million check into her school bag: “There is no other way to repay the favor of funding, only the promise of your body.”

The villainous princess disguised as a prince slowly tore up the peace proposal: “If you want to negotiate peace, you can let your Grand Princess Song Xu Yi come and make peace…”

System ((艹皿艹 )): Say no to love and don’t fall in love!!!

Song Xu Yi ((╥_╥)): Sorry!

I blame the villain for being too beautiful, I couldn’t see her tears…

The love story of a hardworking wage earner tasker and a gloomy world-destroying paranoid villain.

7/10 (Above average, with some level of emotional spark)

An enjoyable read but with very noticable weaknesses. While background plots are generally either discarded quickly enough to not affect the story or strong enough to act as surrounding detail for the female leads interacting, when they try to take on a life of their own it almost always falls flat. Endings are noticably weak, both overall and for each individual world. While the interactions between the female leads are strong, it's possible some may find that the differences between each... more>> iteration are insufficient and end up repetitive.

Spoiler

The main selling point of the novel is the interactions between the female leads. Starting off with Zhao Qingyu never getting a chance to be with Song Xuyi works extremely well as an opening arc for establishing the yearning the antagonists of the worlds have for Xuyi, and seeing Xuyi gradually being 'captured' in future worlds is a strong emotional beat. However, after this meta-arc ends, Xuyi's relationship with the antagonists in each world stagnates and the relationship between the two becomes rather repetitive. Personally, I didn't really notice this until the real world arc, but your mileage may vary.

As for the plots of each world, they're strong enough when the focus isn't on them, but they're not capable of standing on their own. It's very common for side characters/plot threads to be introduced that feel like they should go somewhere, but ultimately are simply never followed up on and simply cut off. This is usually fine since the focus of the book is moreso on the interactions between the FLs, but occasionally the balance between FL interactions and plot ends up being broken. Personally I found the last world, for example, to be far too light on the relationship dynamics that the author is good at writing and too heavy on the overall plot which was rather unexciting, which made it a rather boring read for me.

Generally, the actual main plot threads tend to resolve well enough, but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the FL interactions. The majority of the time, confessions act as the ending of the world arc, with only short, impersonal blurbs describing what happens in the lifetime after. Many times, this is made worse by the fact that the confession is also when Xuyi realizes her affection is returned and/or represents a major shift in the FLs' relationship, which makes their arc in that world feel incomplete. This sort of incompleteness works well for the early bad ending arcs, but is quite unsatisfying for the majority of later happy ending arcs.

The real world plotline suffers from very weak connections between the hints given in the world arcs and what the real world plot actually was. It felt like the real world plotline was ultimately scraped together at the last moment from hints dropped in the story beforehand instead of the other way around. In theory this could've been patched up somewhat by instead leaning on the character meta-arc aspect; Xuyi is said to have gone through an arc and, in each of the worlds, learned to live for herself. However, I personally did not really get the impression that Xuyi needed to learn that lesson at all, let alone that she actually did; in the first world, she learned medicine pretty proactively on her own inititive, for example.

If any meta-arc existed, it would clearly be one to address her inferiority complex toward Rong Yu and having her become more proactive in a romantic sense, but ultimately the real world arc simply repeated the plot line of Xuyi not wanting to get closer to Rong Yu due to excess concerns, Rong Yu lying to get closer to Xuyi, and eventually Rong Yu snapping and revealing her feelings for Xuyi. The idea of making up for regrets that Rong Yu brings up to get closer to Xuyi was interesting and could've made up for the repetition, but was basically not executed on at all. The real world plotline doesn't really hold up on a plot level either; the link between the chips in the last world and the real world plotline was simply introduced too late to really feel premeditated, and the rest of the plot details just completely felt like they came from absolutely nowhere.

For a few more specific examples that cover quite a lot of the above criticisms, the zombie world makes some odd choices; why did Zhao Miaomiao recovering her memories specifically trigger the main system to do something? What was even the point of Zhao Miaomiao recovering her memories from a story perspective? Why did the author put off the relationship redefining moment of Ye Shuiyu post-recovering 18 years of memories by having her lie? It makes sense from a character perspective but it doesn't make any sense from a storytelling perspective. The relationship redefining moment is instead tossed into the middle of the impersonal "and then x happened" blurb at the end where it definitely can't make any emotional splashes and won't let us see any of their thoughts.

To say something positive though, I did think some of the callbacks, specifically the system being based on her cat and a dress Rong Yu wore in world 1 being one that Xuyi bought were good anchors making the real world plot feel more connected to the small worlds, it just wasn't enough.

The extras are a mixed bag. The vampire world extra is fine but suffers from the exact same issues as the rest of the worlds; it ends up feeling less bad since the accelerated pacing means that the abrupt conclusion has less to fail to live up to, and admittedly making the abrupt conclusion a punchline was decently comedic, but it's still somewhat disappointing to be hit with another world with the same strong points and weaknesses. While I liked the IF childhood extra, it felt somewhat muted by my problems with the overall real world plotline. Still, it served as a good wrapup and finale for the book, and the different relationship dynamic was refreshing to read.

[collapse]

Overall, I would say this book is worth reading if you enjoy the 'yearning but feels like can't have her because of inferiority/distrust/worldly matters/etc' trope and don't view potentially unsatisfying or abrupt endings as a complete dealbreaker. <<less

This story has a good premise. The other reviews have their own preferred preference but they fail to get the picture.

The love between the MC and the FL is a forbidden one, but the FL struggles to break this forbidden aspect, so her love which is also accumulated from previous failed iterations, can be accepted by someone she knows is the same person.

The MC might have deja vu sense with every arc, but at her core she is a caring person who wants to help the FL. A quality that... more>> is appreciated by someone that has rarely been helped by others.

The MC is a perfect bottom, driven to do her mission and avoid falling in love while the Top villainous FL is intent on making the MC fall in love with her

It's honestly very good <<less

It's not *really* a whole five star story, but I gotta even out the unreasonable one stars below... for what it is, and what it's supposed to be, it's good at being that. It's Shoujo Ai. As an entry in that genre, I say 4 stars.

This is happy slice of life fluff presented in a quick transmigration format. The point of it is not for the QT protagonist to complete the missions through great difficulty or cunning, there's plenty of other stories like that. It's also not about having a... more>> complex setting with deep lore, this is not a fantasy epic or a space opera. The point of this story is to enjoy the little fluffy love hearts and pink bubbles around our two protagonists as they dance around each other being cute and dumb in a forbidden love. The quick transmigration element exists to show the characters in a variety of scenarios and having a variety of relations to each other, as well as to let the author repeat the best part of what they're writing multiple times: the slow realization of feelings. The rule against romance exists to allow the QT protagonist to maintain their memories and continuity between worlds, without entering already infatuated. Instead, we see the villainess realize her feelings repeatedly as she forgets every world and remembers, while rooting for her to finally catch the protagonist's attention this time.

Similarly, the villainess is not evil to make things more difficult. She's evil for aesthetic. It's just so our couple can have the prickly black cat in a relationship with a bright sunny golden retriever dynamic.

It also isn't strong romance, or even Yuri, and it's definitely not smut. You know what it is? It's Shoujo Ai. Cute girls being cute and *almost* falling in love. It dances just at the edge, like every entry in the Shoujo Ai genre, it's the defining feature that makes it Shoujo Ai.

In summary, it's good. Bad reviews just don't get it or understand what it's supposed to be. <<less

Novel absolutely not recommended to read.

The female MC is a ridiculous sort of person who immediately acts extremely OOC, changes plots here and there, and is entranced by the beautiful villainess.

There’s basically no logic within each arc, even less romance (with a dumb rule not to fall in love that has zero relevance and a useless system), and so many plot armored situations that ruin the story.

Most of the time, the novel boils down to MC sort of floundering around and supposed original plot never actually happening except by extreme... more>> coincidence where MC somehow walks into it and is noticed immediately.

A really weak and disappointing Quick Transmigration story -900Octillion/10. <<less

Pretty disappointing. MC is down bad for FL and a passive party with a very simple "good person" personality. If this was smut or had a heavier element of comedy/romance/tragedy, this template had a chance to work, but the interactions between MC and FL are so bland I could almost call them void of purpose.

I suppose the system's rule that she can't fall in love is a means to justify her resistance of FL, it's a pretty sloppy reason. If we trace back to the first 3 chapters, we also... more>> get a clue on how the author approached world building: MC directly awakens on the mission world with amnesia and the entire reason for the world hopping is summed in a single sentence. There is no difficulty in approaching FL, MC is directly attracted to looks. The author simply doesn't give a damn about the world building or characters introduced, he simply wants to tell a tale of the white rabbit who got eaten clean by the big bad wolf, with a completely bare bones layout.

I tried to complete the first arc at least, but it's really too tasteless. Only reason I rated 2 is because there's a semblance of an ok plot if you observe MC and FL's interactions, so if you just want to go through the motions without sparing any thought as to what your brain is digesting, this will be readable. <<less

The Beginning was great, and very heartfelt, you can honestly feel the authors love for this story

Spoiler

But around the middle it became a bit too draggy, you can tell what the author wants to portray and it does at the end of each world, but ending of each world around the middle to the end felt very forced (?) more like they were trying to end it in a couple of paragraphs which is sad to see.

[collapse]

Honestly it is a great story, and if anything it could have been 1000 chapters if the author had
Spoiler

as much description of how the fell in love in every world like the first and second.

MC is a face con and treats FL even better after knowing her reason for revenge in every world = FL falls for her despite understanding that MC doesn't have any romantic feelings for her.

Thus, FL hid her desires and strive to be the ideal person MC wanted. Fed up with the system that doesn't do its job to jeopardize their relationship + no obstacles = rinse and repeat cycles of the different world setting with a little more progress in the next world of their avatar relationship.

FL has dangerous... more>> thoughts to lock up MC for herself while MC is the one coming up with grand ideals
Spoiler

such as coming up with a cure for the sleepiness disorder, eliminating gender bias of omega and beta groups, reducing world hunger with modern farming knowledge, etc.

1. Fan and actress - sleepiness disorder/narcolepsy

2. Alpha and omega - slowly dying drug

3. Neighbour - xx

[collapse]

I don't like they're keeping secrets from each other and just playing it off. Read the raws till chp 80 and skipped to the ending which is anti-climatic.

Spoiler

FL turned out to be some alien with a microchip and was once saved by MC when she tried to escape from the lab but.... both lost their memories but still retained the feeling of secretly liking each other. She was exploited and her memories came back when she turn 26 thus she devised a game with multiple small worlds to train her mind power? While taking out the ppl who imprisoned her.

She confesses everything when she saw the divorce papers in MC's hand. Yeah then HE. Sigh.

Translation is fantastic, and the fact that it is updated everyday is amazing. Story is simple and enjoyable. Nothing to look too deeply into.

Only reason for giving this a review is to drop in a comment- the original website (littlepandatranslations) is absolutely riddled with popups adware gallore. You can’t even load the chapters properly without being relinked and spammed.

Big sad, I did enjoy this series.

This is not a masterpiece by any means. The background of the protagonist is amnesia which is cliché. The actions of the protagonist are very unmotivated and contradictory.
Spoiler

She will be killed if she fails to complete the mission but at one point all she can do, according to her, is send a text message to try to talk to the FL even though she has been in this world for years and has had time to put in other means

[collapse]

The romance is realistic as she is attracted to FL's face, which makes sense since the first thing anybody is attracted to when they see someone is not their charming personality which they have no clue about
Spoiler

(Protagonist does know she is willing to kill for revenge though)

. As their interactions continue each comes around to the other.

Putting it lightly transitions/the beginning are jarring/rough even when just compared to other transmigration novels. A lot happens in a short period and the information is presented poorly and briefly with no warning.

Will continue to read so may edit this up or down. For anybody reading this I would say give it a shot, may be for you, may not be. It is not garbage.

The story has its moments but honestly, there are too many 'little worlds' and we barely get a clue what's going on in the real world and just keeps jumping from one world to the next. The first few worlds were still acceptable but the system kept telling Song Xu Yi (MC) that they're getting attacked in every world but they, and we the readers, have no idea what's going on.

Even more frustrating is that the rules of the worlds seem to change based on however the author wants it.... more>> Sometimes Song Xu Yi remembers the villain in the previous worlds, sometimes it's like she's never met that woman before in her life.

In the first world, it's established that the system can detect the villain's presence whenever she's nearby but somehow this is useless in the next worlds whenever the villain is in a disguise or pretending to be a man??? Honestly the inconsistencies further takes you out of the story, on top of being forced into this limited POV of Song Xu Yi which can be very frustrating.

Oh not to mention in one of the worlds, the system decided to give Song Xu Yi a 'break' and sent her to a world where she's....a mangaka. As we all know, creating manga is famous for being a notoriously relaxing job. Good job, system.

The rule of 'not falling in love' is also so silly and pointless oh my god.

Slight spoiler but it's interesting to note that in majority of the worlds, the love interest, 'Yu' seems to come from broken families and usually her mother has been victimised by her father in some ways, shapes or forms. You'd think this is a hint for something that's going on in the real world, right? Perish the thought. That thing doesn't matter. Nothing that happens in the small worlds really matter apparently.

I wished to give this a lower rating because halfway through, it became really hard for me to trudge through the story but some of the small worlds are quite interesting and that bumps up the rating a little bit. I would still recommend this for anyone interested to read it because you might have a different experience and enjoy the very, very long plot of small worlds jumping more than me.

Just remember that barely anything in the small worlds matter except when they get attacked at the beginning of their journey and her falling in love every time. Oh and the villain becomes increasingly more yandere over time but never goes full yandere.

All that aside, as always Little Panda did a great job! I did notice some prompts for AI translations that got left in the story though. <<less
