Definitely different from most Chinese BL novels in that it is a

older, more mature, and likes to tease the ML, Shou x younger, childish, constantly being led by the nose, Gong

the gong first comes off as a capable cold and handsome person, but after getting smitten by the MC, he becomes super sweet and childish, acting as if he’s a child

... more>> the Shou at first is very depressed and closed off, but slowly warms up to the gong though it takes him a while to accept the gong’s affections

Started good but then the MC started to be more and more selfish, acting condescending with his younger lover, treating him like a child and not asking for his opinion when it damn sure concerned him too. Meanwhile, the ML was a bit too Golden Retriever childish and didn't act like a responsible CEO. Also he couldn't care less about his own son and he actually said that "he likes his son but that 99% of his heart is for the MC and the rest for the child" 🤣 I... more>> don't know what they saw in each other, one was prickly, selfish and mean to the other and the other one was a man child. Literally any other character in the book was more likable than the main ones. I especially liked the little bun, both protagonists' fathers and the merry group of godfathers 🤣 <<less

This is a great read! The ML's personality is so refreshing; not your typical cold and overbearing CEO/Billionaire. Lol I also love the MC's realistic reaction. If I were in his shoes, I'll do the same. Why not, though, I thought I'm going to die? :)

OMG, I should just dropped this novel. The MC is too selfish I didn't think I would want to slap a 2D character this bad before. Other reviewers already pointed out how horrible this MC is so I won't do it but let's just said there is little character development and it seems like the character even regress to worst than the beginning of the story. Lots of inconsistencies in the characters too.

Finished reading this since 2019. Reread it til c63. I even wonder now how I completed this irrational novel 😅

Everything is irrational and unreasonable. From ML and MC personality to lack of character development etc.

Honestly, I couldn't understand the MC with his leap of character, its like his personality changed 180 degrees and becomes unreasonable and selfish. For ML, his personality is very unrealistic as someone who is very powerful. Author mentioned that d reason has something to do with his company is gaming/entertainment which I find a little unrealistic.

My gosh this was perfect!! As a sucker for mpreg and marriage stories this novel was right up my ally! + Add a rich but puppy like CEO gong to the relationship I love it! I liked how the book took time to explore all the relaitonships between families and friends and was realistic how it showed the difference between marriage and love lifes. The baby is just adorable!!!! Anyway if you are debating on giving this a try you definitely should!!

The translation was great. Thumbs up for for the translator.

I can't say the same thing with the story though. I started reading on the premise of wanting to understand how the author would turn this trope - suddenly diagnosed of terminal illness. The beginning was okay - it was the turning in MC's life. I thought it was good that he smarten up. Sadly, it spiraled down after a few chapters. Though it's a fictional world, still, I can't grasp the MC's action at all.

I loved this novel!

The way I hooked in by the summary and I actually liked the MC and ML relationship in the beginning. All of the fluff of them falling in love was so fun to read. Don't get me wrong the novel does have a lot of parts with angst and drama that made me wanna cry...

BUT PLEASE READ you won't regret it :) their relationship is very much full of love that my heart clenched for them so many times.

This novel is one of my new favorites. It doesn't leave you with horrible cliffhangers most of the time but it still captures your attention. I cried way too much while reading it and laughed enough to hurt my cheeks. It's the perfect balance of sad and sweet! I love it!

This novel was pretty enjoyable up to the around the 40th chapter. In the beginning, the novel was very down to earth and the MC's emotions were so relatable. But afterwards, it takes a huge turn and the character's behaviors starts making less sense. It starts with the mpreg, but everything else crashes down too (when it comes to resolving strained relationships)

When you look at the MC's situation at the beginning, he's a hard working and career-focused man who's hopelessly in love with a s*um gong and being mistreated... more>> at work. The illness crashes in and forces him to take a different perspective on life. It's a pretty shaking moment when MC becomes decisive in taking control over his life. He completely abandons the stringency of his former life to spend his remaining days leading a life of complete self-indulgences (having casual s*x with the ML, Las Vegas, Skiing, etc).

After that, the novel takes a huge turn (for the worst, in my opinion) and everything just seemed very scripted. Their behaviors starts looking more forced and they stopped emulate human behavior as realistically as it did in the beginning.

The whole mpreg thing is a huge joke: This is not an ABO world. This is supposed to be a normal world with the genders having their conventional reproductive role. The MC's pregnancy case is supposed to be an abnomaly, yet all the characters accepts it within a few chapters which is so unrealistic. The concept of a normal male suddenly having the ability to give birth should have been a huge struggle for the MC to accept. He should be having lots of questions as to how it's even possible. He should be panicking over how he should explain the situation to the other characters.

Yet he's already saying things like this (spoiler box below) :

This quote from ch. 53 emulates just how incredibly unrealistic the MC's attitude towards mpreg is:

"It's not your fault. It was me who didn't have you wear a cond*m. But I didn't know I could get pregnant at that time. I also didn't mean to get pregnant."

  • Logically, the MC should've struggling to accept that he's the only male capable of giving birth. Yet here, he's talking as if mpreg is normal part of life and that birth control was something he should've been conscious about
  • if this was an ABO world where mpreg is normal, this quote would have made sense. However, the summary and novel made it clear that it's not the case

Stability of writing and nice characters that kept their brains earned it 4+, but the dramatic points dragged it down to 3.5+. Bit bumpy in the beginning-middle part but the characters will keep you coming back.

(+) story is fresh and fluffy, the setting of the world is realistic.

Even if the mpreg is not explored much it was handled pretty well, not just used to make MC/ML have babies and then forgotten completely.

(+) Interesting and not Sue characters.

Younger sweet doting ML and there's my favourite mentor-mentee relationship (pity it only appears once/twice). Mature and thoughtful relationship between main couple, such a delight to read~

Interaction with their child is cute without being overly showy. They are mature parents who doesn't spoil their child mindlessly, and we even get to see the kid grow up and learn about the world. The child's love future is left open, a peaceful HE. (I like this too! I don't want to think about babies getting married after I had just read about their parents TBH)

(+) Ending is written well, quietly beautiful like fluttering petals!

(+) Supporting characters have their own lives and thoughts, and capable of changes. I don't often like --everyone is gay--plots because it's easy to make it cheap.

(+/-) A lot of drama, but each progression still make sense in terms of cause and the characters involved. I only don't like that it's so heavy with sad, like I'm being spoon-fed telenovela. So much crying, so much self-imposed angst.....

Recommended to read!!! The main reason, this book is good, is because there is no stress when you read this. It was a smooth sailing through the whole book.

The ML and MC meet each other coincidentally. Then they fell in love. Even after sometime when they meet again after their separation, they were able to rekindle the old flames, or you can say the flames were always there. It was just that the person was missing. There were many heartwarming family scenes and there were no drama at all. The... more>> child was so cute.

All in all, this novel is quite good to relax your mind. <<less

A lot of ninjas were cutting onions during the reading of this novel... Even if I knew what will happen, the onions were there. Liked, the fluff too, the bun was super cute but the best was their entire family. I’m so envious, I want a family like that too! -will shout everyone reading this 😑. Characters were unique, gong was super cute, shou not typical and family was there for them. All in all good reading, only if left me with a headache after those ninjas passed through lol

The first half is bitter...

And the latter half is sweet.

I f-ing cried buckets on the first few chapters TvT. But probably, to compensate for that, the succeeding chapters were full of tooth-aching sweetness and fluff with sprinkles of comedy.

... more>> I somehow felt like I'm watching a good romcom, melodrama TV series in a form of danmei..

Anyways, this kind of stories usually isn't my cup of tea (I usually move away from novels that smells of angst and drama, thankfully this novel only poured a dose of that at the first part) but I do think that this was written pretty well. <<less

Although it's already written in the plot, I bawled so much in the first chapters. I was embarrassed crying in the bus omw from work.

I really love it so much but my only complain (as usual) is there's no smut. Also, I understand MC's insecurities but I wish he treated ML a little much better. I'm honestly not satisfied how MC's character developed on that part coz the ML is GOLD! But that's just on me, you might not think the same. Nonetheless, it's worth reading.

I finished the main story.... more>> I stopped reading the extras coz the MTL was really too much for me. It's enough for me to know that it's HE and will patiently wait until translator finally finished it. <<less

It's So much Better than I expected. And in every chapters it gets better and better. So I Love every moments and every fluff precious moments.

The story doesn't make unnecessary drama. It has Dramas, but written in reasonable way and written very well. They had miscommunication moments, but didn't played too fast or too slow. Seriously, the novel might not be perfect, but it's very Good and Enjoyable and Absolutely Wonderful.

The Characters all are Great except of course the actual Bad people.

I'm praying that rest of the story is Satisfying... more>> and won't dissapoint us! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 <<less
