The heteros*xual omega MC has severe trauma from watching a classmate get r*ped in high school and everyone who saw just laughing and not doing anything to help due to the stigma associated with being an omega. He tries his hardest to prevent this from happening to him by taking his medications regularly, and has some hope when the doctor told him there's a possibility his heat could end when he hits 35 if he never does the deed. Due to some plot moving fated mate nonsense, he ends up getting r*ped by the ML when he goes into heat accidentally, becomes pregnant, and is told his heats are going to be too severe to deal with without a partner from now on. His girlfriend leaves him, and in dispair he tries a treatment which basically dehumanizes him and throws him into further dispair, leading him to want to d*e. Here's the part I needed to stop at. The ML, who apparently has been in love with him for 6 years, comes into to the room after the failed treatment, when he's on the brink of death from heat, wakes him up, r*pes him again several times, making some comments about how he's going to imp**gnate him again, and forces him to marry him because "if you want to d*e so much, then your life is mine." Then, somehow, time skip, and they're in love or some nonsense and happily living with the kids? And the rest of the story is just flashbacks to how the ML fell in love with the MC, the ML's family tr*sh talking the MC for "seducing" the ML, and another fated pair basically convincing the MC and ML they're meant to be, because the ML is feeling down because the MC apparently wants to divorce him, even though ML "loves him so much." And I couldn't finish the story, but I'm assuming they live happily ever after. This whole thing was tr*sh. MC got stockholmed, never got his trauma acknowledged or treated and somehow just got over it, then got treated as the villain because he caused the ML to r*pe him, and he didn't treat the ML well enough, even it was the ML who decided to play hero by going into the room MC was hiding in, because "he's not affected by pheromones", even though he knew MC was his fated pair? And ML got off scott free with no acknowledgement of the torture and suffering he caused to the MC, since all the side characters all sided with the ML as usual because none of them ever got the full story. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Just once, I would like to see a novel where the side characters use their brains, get the full story, and don't just become tools for the ML to stockholm the MC even more, and for the ML to have actual consequences and an understanding of the pain he caused instead of everything just magically being okay.
