In her previous life, Song Yimo had been sorely burned by money. Determined to never be shackled by finances again in this lifetime, she set out to repay the countless debts of gratitude she had incurred in her past existence.

She diligently saved every penny.

Yet, whenever her savings reached a comfortable sum…

Song Yimo would secretly rejoice, envisioning herself as a landlady, her dream of owning property finally within reach. But then, someone she cared deeply about would find themselves in dire financial straits, and she would feel compelled to help.

She would start saving again, her hopes of becoming a property owner renewed, only to have someone else come to her in need. Life or death situations would arise, and she could not turn a blind eye.

She would save again. And again. And again.

In the end, her savings only allowed her to live a comfortable life, her long-held dream of being a landlady forever out of reach.

However!

She had become a remarkably wealthy woman nonetheless, achieving success in her career, personal life, and family.

In a word, she was a winner in life.

Author’s Quote:

Time is ruthless. It turns beauty to dust, heroes into memories, and love into faded sentiments. Even lovers eventually part ways.

But time is also kind. It can deepen bonds over years, making love richer, friendship stronger, and family ties firmer.

It’s a warm story overall. The synopsis is a bit misleading. Our diligent MC gets a second chance at life, and we follow along with her growth and the growth of the relationships she cherishes. The translations are also good quality, regular, and fast. Would recommend giving this novel a try.

You *must* read this novel—it's a journey of resilience, selflessness, and triumph that will have you hooked from the start!

Song Yimo's story is an emotional rollercoaster.

Her repeated sacrifices don't lead her to her dream, but instead to something far greater: a life of profound success, love, and fulfillment. Song Yimo becomes a shining example of how selflessness, perseverance, and kindness can create a wealth far richer than money.

... more>> **Why this novel will captivate you:**

- **A relatable heroine:** Song Yimo's struggles, sacrifices, and quiet triumphs resonate deeply.

- **The author's poignant touch:** "Time is ruthless... but it is also kind." These words capture the essence of a tale that will make you reflect on life, love, and what truly matters.

You'll laugh, cry, and cheer for Song Yimo as she turns every setback into a step forward. This is a novel that lingers in your heart long after the final chapter. Don't miss out—this story will *change* how you see life! <<less

4 STARS not 5 (not sure why that happened)

*Shout out to the real MVP being the translator of this story, the sheer number of chapters available blows my mind*

Our MC Song Yimo is reborn as a teen and due to unfailing love for her grandmother strives to overcome her circumstances to become someone that is able to financially provide her for her. Our ML comes into her life quite unexpectedly. I did think the way he latched on to her (platonically) was too fast but that's a small criticism.... more>> He is someone utterly devoted to her.

I think one of the qualities that drew me to this story was the authors commentary on life. That even though life can be hard and bleak when you are a person of compassion and kindness it creates an opportunity for miracles to happen, for people to return that back to you 10-fold.

Our MC can have some Mary Sue tendencies where almost everyone she meets comes to adore her (except specific antagonists are up to move the storyline forward).

My enjoyment of this novel was the highest around the beginning of her regression to graduating university (up to chapter 200+) after that it did become a bit of a slog for me.

PROS:

-We love a lovable and talented MC. Yimo is so hardworking that you want her to win in life and get all she deserves.

-MC is a green flag and utterly devoted to the ML and considering how young the MC was when he met her I'm glad it was platonic for a long time otherwise it would have been creepy.

-Supporting characters are many and though their personalities and stories aren't as in-depth as it could be considering the amount of chapters available we are still given plenty reasons to love them.

CONS:

-Some aspects of this story can be a little hard to believe so I think you need as reader to be willing to leave some logic at the door lol.

I find it hard to believe that from a novel she was able to make that much money to support herself and also that it made her that infamous.

The author moves between realistic and unrealistic story elements for example the world building is very limited outside of where the protagonists lives like city S or City B and yet the author decided to add real countries like China and The UK. There was no consistency in the world building and because of that it was hard to stay completely connected when reading.

-Mary Sue tendencies. I mentioned our MC is adored but because of her hardworking personality she achieves a lot however I also had to suspend logic around when the author made a big deal of the public's reaction to certain achievements like winning an English translation competition. I'm sorry I refuse to believe the public is that invested in a competition of that nature or even being a best selling author.

- Our ML is powerful. He is well connected and has plenty financial resources to pull from so considering this it was hard to believe that our main antagonists were able to show up in our MC's life to disrupt it as many times as they did. You want me to believe that our MC is powerful enough to warrant respect and caution from those around him and yet can't ensure two dumber and dumber antagonists stay away from the MC? In those moments I knew that the author allowed that to move the plot in certain directions BUT it resulted in a lot of contradictions that were hard to swallow.

-Many supporting characters. The author introduces alot of people on the MCs life and this increases as time goes on. The problem with this is I think the author initially introduces these supporting characters to highlight our MC's awesomeness but then fails to ensure they are multi-dimensional and have a way to remain in the MC's life for example the 15 children. I did look ahead to chapters 400 + to see they feature more prominently BUT whether they feature more down the line doesn't mean that they're written in a way that makes them feel real. Sometimes it felt like the author suddenly remembered they have created these characters and would add a few sentences here and there because they don't know how else to maintain their necessity in the MCs life.

-Main antagonist being the MCs shitty mother. The author has built up the MC and especially the ML as being super capable people that it is unrealistic that the antagonist was able to be a nuisance. This contradiction started to frustrate me as a reader and my enjoyment of the novel decreased the more I read unfortunately.

* Despite my criticisms I don't regret picking this novel up. I binged these chapters within two days because I was enjoying it however the contradictions continued to build that by the time I got to chapter 388 I knew I was done unfortunately.

I still recommend this novel and again grateful to the translator for their hardwork ! <<less
