I would see the ML as Enemy at that point and would want him to die Which I felt like the MC was prone to, even though I was surprised at first. The only way I could have saw him get together in their second life was if MC had pity or guilt or gratitude. to ML but that wouldn't have been true love. They needed trust and he was still wary, which is understandable. I also felt like depression affected the MC where the only reason he was living for his family and that made me sad. I wish to see him living a happier life and maybe even after the main story ended, maybe he'll take him a long time to get back to a happy point, but I wish it does happen.

I would say the thing I didn't like was that it took 60 chapters to even hear the ML side of the story, which I understand because once you hear someone's side of the story, you already feel automatically like you should forgive them and whatever. But then also prolonging it doesn't really seem like good writing. We only get one side of the story and even if you look at the villain side story, you'll feel sympathy for them More often than not. But the ML is just s*upid in general lol low eq, on how to express himself and he doesn't communicate well and. the important thing in relationship is communication. So I can't complain too much. and he did things on his own without asking MC. relationship has to be an equal partnership.

It makes sense the way he treated the MC in their first life given the information he had. It also makes sense the way he was treated by the MC during their second life given the information The MC had.

His redemption feels earned and he slowly learned from his past mistakes, trying to let the MC live the life he wanted to live.

I think he does have PTSD as someone else said in the comments. And it makes sense that he won't go back to the way he was, but he also learns how to be honest with himself and in the end it feels that his love for the ML is genuine.

There are no real enemies in this story. There are some people that are bad and they get what they deserve (like the emperor), but most people are nice or they learn from their mistakes and lead a better life.

The ML's an actor so he "skipped" all the scenes with his romantic interests. He only had intimacy with the MC.

And MC almost slept with one of the people in his "harem" (he didn't want a harem, but someone sent those people to him; they lived together in another house and were called only to play some musical instruments or dance, that kind of "entertainment") but ML interrupted him and he didn't attempt it again. At that time, MC thought that the ML had slept with other people during their previous life and he also thought that it was none of the ML's business (which was actually true). Later, the MC will mention his lack of interest in such things, so it seems he didn't sleep with anyone else even when he wasn't in a romantic relationship with the ML.

Like, wth he killed MC, with his own hand, after a night of spring to boot. And MC at that time is the nicest person you could ever have as a boyfriend.

So ML's doing is very unforgivable. That's definitely a very bottom of bottom line, or at least very close to it.
