some psychological issues that one of the lead has. I picked up the translation for this book because I like how the author does touch lightly on the current reality of the children growing up in China and it does delve darkly into the mind of an individual who needs a lot of psychological help and why a partner would stay with them.

Even till the end the ML doesn't repent or feel guilty for what he did, like arranging a gangr*pe and dr*gg*ng just cuz the FL was not letting him into her pants, later pretending to be a 'knight in shining armour' and f*ck her finally.

And all these just to have a revenge at the FL's older cousin who ML's ex-gf cheated on him with!!!! He even records their intimate moments without telling her *probably to use it for his so called revenge againt her older cousin initially*, he even has n*des of his ex-gf hidden in a pendrive, he has not respect for the FL and not only make her role play s*x sl*ve but also treats her like one always!

He even ruined her high-school life, imprisoned her and before he could drag her off to vagas for marriage, ML was stopped by his elder-brother, who promised the FL he that ML will not be near her ever again! LIAR!!! The ML's elder brother saved the FL cuz the ML had once helped his wife escape from him! Even this peace only lasted for 10yrs and the FL was alreay scarred for life!!!

I mean sure later he falls for her but that was just so TOXIC, more like obscession than love... (*for her big br*asts)

he is also so selfish that he doesn't even consider anything that comes out of the FL's mouth!

And it is obscession cuz it lasted for 10yrs, you would expect by now that he has grown up and seen the fault in his ways during his youth, so for his *sincere* love he will appologize, ask for forgiveness before a second chance BUT NO! he kidnaps her to a private island, tells her all these 10yrs he was controlling every aspect of her life, and imprisons her again, only to force himself on her again! *10yrs have passed and the ML has not changed a single bit except becomming more handsome according to the the FL*

Even till the last chapter I was hopping to see a even a single hint of remorse, there wasn't any! Instead he says she has to give birth to regain freedom, cuz in his eyes giving ties a woman down! He also squishes down the her last hope when she asks "if he ever wanted to let her go" he said "this was his excape game so he can change its terms anyway he wants"

At the end of the novel when the FL asks that she can't forget what he had done to her in the past, so he said that *in the most arrogant and shameless tone* that "it was all the more reason for her to be with him to punish him for his sins"
