It was only after Jian Xingsui’s death that he realized that he was the cannon fodder in a book with a dog-blooded plot. He was a dumb and s*upid fake young master in it.

​In the book, he was reluctant to return to his poor ”biological” parents. He was greedy of the Jian Family’s wealth and also wanted to suppress the protagonist shou of the book, the real young master. With the tricks that he had personally thought out in his pig-headed brain, he finally succeeded in annoying the hell out of everyone in the family:

His CEO former eldest brother: “I don’t have a younger brother like you.”

His celebrity former second brother: “Never mention to anyone in the entertainment industry that I used to be your brother!!!”

His former father: “Get out, I’m so disappointed in you.”

​​After that, he was kicked out of the house and had a terrible ending.

After he was reborn, when it was the day when the protagonist shou came up to his door, instead of waiting for his family to talk to him, he took the initiative: “You guys won’t have to say anything, I am willing to leave the house!”

Not long after returning home, his poor “biological” parents said: We’re sorry, you don’t seem to be our own child.

I didn’t like this novel that much for several reasons

1. The novel. Focused too much on reality shows and variety shows. Eventually I got tired of it.

2. Shen Xingsui actually acted like a damsel in distress in every situation, which was really annoying.

... more>> 3. It felt like the ML stole his thunder.

4. It didn’t make any sense that the shen family and the fu family (including their grandparents) would accept same s*x marriage that easily. Even if it is legal in china, generation gap still exists. Older people shouldn’t be that open minded about it.

In short, I didn’t really enjoy the novel. It could have been better <<less

... more>> First off, I love our ML, Fu Jinxiao sooo sooo soooooooo much. The way he supported our lovable MC Shen Xingsui, the way he took care and supported Sui Sui and doted upon him and teased him all the time!!!!!! He is indeed like a Big Bad Wolf but I love him for that hehehee

my fav line from Mr. Fu was near the end, during his love confession, where he looked through SOOO many strings in order to find his lovers! And he said “It doesn’t matter if their “destiny” isn’t tied together... bc “I will still find you”

ahhh my heart!!!!

also Sui Sui my baby!!!!!! Such a pure, kindhearted, innocent MC😭😭😭 he suffered so much in life and I appreciate how the author didn’t just erase his insecurities but rather she showed him develop and go from an unloved, mistreated young man to a well-loved and happy and successful actor/musician!!! Also I FKN LOVE THE SHEN FAMILY!!!!!! I love mama, papa and the two Shen brothers!!! Im still waiting for the extras to be posted but omg, this is def in my top 10 bl! I loved everything from the beginning to the competition to the variety show segments, perfect *chefs kiss*

I liked it, but a lot of plot holes and illogical scenes.

I started and dropped it twice before but I completed it because the MC was just so cute and I had nothing else to read.

ML was mid, the fact that he was the og ML didn't sit right with me, that's also a reason why dropped it once but

as we move forward in the story it is said that he actually didn't marry an ran, but I think its not explained well, another plot hole there.

like why exactly did our cold and smart ML who can easily figure out other intentions of people who approach him,

had a relationship with an ran, the double faces green tea bit*h , and then when he found out he is not his fan, he dumped him? He also found out about the MC, but what exactly did he find out? How much did he find out about the mc? A lot of unanswered questions there

i also don't know when exactly the MC died, maybe it's because I mtl'ed it but still the past life memories were not used by the MC at all and an ran only used them in variety show game, as if to emphasize how s*upid and talentless an ran is compared to MC, even with his past memories he still can't compete with the MC.

overall the past life didn't much role in the plot other than in mc's mentality

it is good if you want something that has good story, naive and cute MC, op ml, face slapping.

if you care about logic and plot holes frustrate you (like me), then only read it if you absolutely have nothing else <<less

I would give it 2.5 stars, but since I can't, I'd round it up.

The plotholes are bountiful. The MC's sufferings weren't emphasised much, so I didn't feel that related or pity for him. The plot is also too easy to guess that I couldn't feel any satisfaction of guessing it right...

The MC's personality was also not my cup of tea.

Parts of the novel gave me a meh 2.5 star feeling and other parts I was smiling with a 4 star feeling, so since overall I enjoyed it, 4 stars it is.

The MC is very depressive to begin with, but it's understandable. He was the typical cannon fodder in his previous life which lead to his low self esteem into rebirth. He does grow a bit, but not as much as I would have liked to see.

ML is the typical clean and cold ML, but he didn't fall in love... more>> immediately, which was such a nice change. Other than that the ML was average.

Their romance was meh, the MC never gets out of his shy, low self esteem enough for the relationship to feel more balanced. I would have loved to see more growth emotionally and in the entertainment industry.

Like with most these types of novels the villians we're comically s*upid. The Shen family was ok.

I started with the translation but not a fan of Wattpad setup so continued with MTL. Very easy to MTL. I skimmed the last 15 chapters, they don't add too much to the story. I tried to read the extras but wasn't interesting enough. <<less

MTL wasn't bad, I understood the main gist. The number of sheer and cliche coincidences honestly made me lose interest in pursuing it further. It's either for ML to be captivated by the MC (notice the MC being hardworking, etc) or for the antagonists to have their due faceslapping (giving MC yet another halo). But according to the author it's 'the butterfly effect'. Pretty meh especially when you have a really passive, insecure MC, you can smell the slowburn smell from planets away. Not for me sadly.

FIRST OF ALL TW: Depression, Low self worth/Esteem

Many tears where shed in this novel and it was going so well till the frustrations of how the MC acted with the ML got to me🙄 The MC is a cutie and deffo was suffering from depression and low self worth which was understandable but they way he kept putting himself down and not thinking he was good enough for the ML was so frustrating towards the end.

Skimmed the last 20 chapters or so and didn’t even bother reading the extras because... more>> my emotions were so drained towards the end

I'm crying af reading this, after rebirth our MC JX is a little having less confidence especially towards himself. What more frustrating is, the slow phase about our MC origin. His real family, not his "supposed to be Family.
