Zhuang Mingxu (Top) will have no powers till the very end. Basically, he will never awaken. I actually kept reading because I was curious how the author would deal with it.

The MC (Lu Weiyi) was reborn after the top died at the hands of his (MC's) family members. At the beginning of his rebirth, he changed things majorly and it resulted in the top not awakening his superpowers (the reason is not explained, according to the original trajectory, he should have awakened, even Dean, a powerless healer, later awakened, but he never did). After missing this opportunity inexplicably, he was also severely disabled. So... yeah.

This whole story is SET on hating the top. From before rebirth -- when the MC was autistic and was cold and indifferent no matter how hard the ML tried to take care of him. To after the MC's rebirth, where the ML was persecuted again and again -- making a strong man into a brooding little wife who doesn't even have enough confidence to question his partner's ambiguous interactions with others. It's really depressing... I followed it thinking that, surely, things will work out later DX. But nope.

Although there is character development that led to the two sides finding their own 'purpose' in life and working side by side despite the HUGE gap in strength. I really don't like this forced weakness concept after rebirth. Especially since the MC, even after rebirth and everything, remains largely indifferent. I'm just hating. Because the CP is really no good together. Although the ML is wholehearted, in both the previous and current life, he will never get the same amount of affection back. PLUS, his own opportunities were even wrestled away, even if it's accidentally, because of his lover. Which is really depressing. I would like this concept of strong-and-weak more if it the ML had never had powers in his previous life as well, because then, I can stop thinking that the MC's rebirth s**ked all of the ML's luck in this new life (this is what the author made the whole story look like, the MC got everything, from the ML's followers to his ability to speak. Even all the regrets from the previous life were made up one after another (saving his uncle, his cousin, his old classmates and friends, picking up strong teammates, etc). Everyone is living a happy life. Only the ML received nothing in return. He was even faced with the idea of sharing his lover with others (although it was a false alarm in the end) and became a person everyone identitied as either a burden or a gigolo... DX it makes all of his efforts (both in the previous life and this life) seem completely hopeless.

LW in previous life become emotionally detached from the world after watching his mom mu*dered by his father for his mistress, ZM always liked LW but was in the army at that time but when he find out later about MC's situation (he didn't know about LW's mom in the first life) he left the army, fought with his family and bring him along... when apocalypse occured in the first life ML was a powerful person with his powers and he did everything to make MC normal again...... but after some years when MC was getting better MC's family who was mooching off ML pushed ML in the zombie seige and killed him.... at that time MC grew angry and blew up everyone from hisfamily with him nd was reborn

I am saying this because in new life ML was a normal person and also become handicapped and it was MC who is the new leader figure but he never gave up on ML and that I do like because in this new life it was MC's turn to look after ML and he did it very well plus we also get to learn about negative emotions that ML faced because of his situation and how he came out of it like MC did in his previous life so I can I say both are each other's support system

but then something happened (actually, it was a certain character meeting the MC) that I really disliked. I was wondering why the author included this character, so far it doesn't make any sense, it seems like he's just there to "fill" the gap. Or to show M's "caring" side But overall, without this character you feel like the plot can continue (at least as far as I'm reading

the arrival of ML. It's not for nothing, I even understand his past life and everything he did in both MC lives, which was to take care of him. But... The author built a bond (a life or death situation) with the members of the MC group, which is very good to read.
