Yeocheong, an inconspicuous prince of the Song Empire, was attending his first banquet and happened to meet Jihyuk, the crown prince of the Yeon Kingdom. They only had a short, trivial conversation, but strange rumours began to spread…

“Seventh Prince, it seems that you’ve developed feelings for the Crown Prince of Yeon. This emperor is not so narrow-minded as to dismiss the romantic feelings of a child.”

Eventually, Yeocheong was married to Jihyuk on the Emperor’s orders. But once they became husband and wife, Jihyuk remained cold and distant.

“I apologise for my improper behaviour that forced you into an unwanted marriage…”

“There is no need for such thoughts. It was a marriage that had to happen anyway.”

From a prince with no presence to a queen in disgrace with his king, Yeocheong decided to live a meaningless life. But for reasons unknown, Jihyuk began to approach him with unexpected tenderness.

“Because I love you… I think it would be good if time stopped here.”

But their happiness was short-lived, as Jihyuk’s behaviour suddenly changed.

His Highness never intended to have an heir with him in the first place.

You see, when an Omega drinks this, he can’t conceive for the time it takes to work.

What Yeocheong had received from Jihyuk was not love, but deception.

“You said… you loved me.”

“Did you believe that? Those moments may have been happy for you, but for me… well…”

In the end, abandoned by Jihyuk, Yeocheong met his death.

However, for unknown reasons, Yeocheong opened his eyes again in the past. This time he decided to live a different life and never get involved with Jihyuk again. But for some reason, Jihyuk started to show a different side than in their past lives.

“We must be more familiar with each other’s touch than anyone else’s. Isn’t that right?”

Once married to Jihyuk again, Yeocheong finds himself spending a passionate season with him…

Story till now is about a man powerless from birth till the day he died. Life is cruel to him, in no little part from his husband.

Truth be told, I'm hoping the ML is literally anyone else tbh - the crown prince is a piece of steaming hogshit. Gentle looks hide a poisonous and manipulative heart.

I don't hate the MC but- I'm not sure how to explain it. He spends so little effort that he almost seems half hearted in getting out of the situation he is in, but it...... more>> It seems to make sense for the character at the beginning of the story. He doesn't know how to properly struggle since he has never seen someone struggle before.

Will hold off on rating this, current impression: somewhat nuanced whump - as long as the MC finds a way to move up from rock bottom, I think I'll give it a higher rating <<less
