Shao Xuan joins a friend in his expedition to a recently discovered archaeological cave. After he picks up an ordinary looking stone he is teleported to a different world and wakes up in the body of a small orphan child. The world he is in now is still in its stone age with primitive tools made of stone and the ways of the people are savage. Savage isn’t the only thing special about the people though, because they have superhuman strength, jump higher than trees and punch stones. In short, they are able to cultivate their bodies. Despite all this, it is a real struggle to survive because of the scarcity of food. Together with Caesar, his pet wolf, he tries to survive in this cruel world.

I love this novel! The romance is very subtle though kind of obvious I was pretty sure since she was the only one we can kind of get attached to due to her screen time. Would've loved to have some extra chapters exploring their romance but am also happy about what they went with.

I usually dread reading long novels but if I love it, it just feels like I need more. 😭 800 chapters was too short!! But also they kind of wrapped everything up nicely. ✨️ Really unique concept and tysm for the translators who have worked hard on this project. A bit late but also fortunate cause I don't have to wait long or read the mtl anymore 😆.

This didn't really explore much kingdom building but it still scratched the itch I was looking for. It was more adventurous, slice of life, kind of op MC, and world building. 🌎 Looked at the author's other works and am excited to start a new one! ❤️ Also a bit confused about Dao Yu

It was really more of an open ending that leaves u knowing that the story will continue but sadly without u. His story was really depressing but also unexplored. Like in the end we dont know if he managed to get all the fire seeds' power from his other "puppet" comrades and restored the tribe somewhat though he can't reproduce so idk how that will work 😆.


Would've loved to read a epilogue about Yi Ce but ig this is all we can get😭

I love this novel. Reading ahead I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Though there isn't much romance, girls and women do appear. Unlike most novels women are seen as just like any other person apart of a tribe and not as a sexual/ love interest. For those afraid, yes the MC gets alot of attraction from females at certain points but it isn't exaggerated. It isnt that kind of story.

The MC is smart and a pioneer. He doesn't and does use his memories of his past life. He doesn't... more>> remember much with regards to how he lived as he has said numerous time but his thinking process is more advanced and ideas make him stronger than his peers as well as bring his tribe back to former glory. He is hardworking as well as calm and decisive. He is not much of a chatterbox like most MCs and gets sh*t done. I admire that he isn't a very emotional character and many people come to be in fear and awe of his power. If he says or do something with his powers that people do not understand instead of lying about it he just says it's intuition or a guess. No big deal. The guy is just smooth like that. What's even greater is that he never once treated people who has more power than him with any special consideration or his elders like his elders. He carries himself like a leader from the start until he truly becomes one.

I would say more regarding that but I feel it's more exciting to discover the powers of his tribe and other characters in the future than me saying it. It would be a disservice to this great story spoiling the MCs journey thus far into the world and must see it yourself to really appreciate it.

The world building is phenomenal and characters are very interesting. It's so great I'm having a hard time saying everything good about it.

The MC does have enemies as he does allies which bring his tribe slowly to the top. He isnt kill happy and even those that offend him has thier uses. (He'll still beat them to a pulp though) He's ruthless when necessary as well as kind. Im not sure if he's OP but he's far from weak as there are many powers he cannot overcome but his strength isn't just physical and being cunning. He's a visionary.

I know it may be just my own exaggeration but he's the most perfect MC I've seen in a long time and the story is A1. 10/10 <<less

Ok, I'll make a short review so I don't spoil it for any of you.

This story start like any other reincarnation Xianxia story but it doesn't stay that way for long, after a few chapters you will remark that the author doesn't take the paths of plot we usually read about, its not about conquering the world/becoming strongest/Scoring women, the story is all about the journey and the adventure nothing more nothing less, the author doesn't try to sell us sh*t plot for Gold like most other authors do, he... more>> keep it real and honest and that's why you won't feel any disappointment or annoyance.

Also I've seen people say the MC doesn't use his knowledge to make his tribe better, I can spoil you a dozen things he helped his tribe with his knowledge but since you people don't read past chapter 30 and already pull the hammer down I won't waste my energy for you.

I enjoyed the journey, the friendships, the action and the honesty ! <<less

Good read and pretty interesting novel. Not a typical transport to another world or rebirth novel.... no crazy family or village/city that thinks the MC is tr*sh. Smart character just trying to survive, likable and relatable supporting characters. Looking forward to more from the TL group and the story!

Most probably one of the few novels on this website that has nothing to do with xianxia, xuanhuan, wuxia or fantasy. The only genre that stands out is the supernatural. With this as the base, both the action and the adventure becomes an unforgettable ride.

The protagonist is in the top three of the most down to earth. His progress from a simple ant towards a core member of the tribe is so well done that at some point you even forget how relatively simple is this story compared to many... more>> others. Especially the action and the romance.

The action in this novel doesn't follow the usual cliche where arrogant enemies pick fights with the protagonist for any reason whatsoever or where the protagonist always seeks power and doesn't care how many he has to kill. In this novel the action is based on the fight against nature, which in that world is downright scary.

As for romance, while many enjoy seeing the protagonist surrounded by beauties that have a backbone and can contribute towards the protagonist rise to glory, in this case we actually get a more primitive mindset. Women are more important than men for their role in procreating, which also downsizes their importance in fighting. Only a few of them have an active part in the tribe hunts.

Overall, the most important thing is to see this novel as an entire different creature compared to almost all other popular novels around here. Enjoy the supernatural ride, where dangers can come from the most harmless things possible while the power only comes from mysterious sources and only after going through a lot of hardships. <<less

I have read all the raws and I have to say, what an amazing read! The pace is snail-pace but it has a solid plot and amazing world building. We don't just get stuck in his tribe's hunting life stories, there are more exploration and mysteries regarding the world outside his tribe. But honestly, what marvel me the most is actually the protagonist's personality. He is intelligent, brave, wise, kind and yet ruthless at the same time. He knows when he has to follow the flow and when he has... more>> to be creative. From a young leader of cave orphans to a dependable leader of mankind. His progress is beautiful to watch.

The lack of romance might put off some people, but there is actually a hint of romance, it's so small that you might even miss it. And what's great is that the MC doesn't get intimidated or swayed by women (Heck, there are more interaction of him with Cha cha the bird than him with females! Lol) or people with bad motives, he is very decisive and smart. There is a conclusion of his relationship near the ending too. I wish I could read more of his journey and how he advance the civilization. It's just not enough. <<less

Some people complain about lack of humour or romance, but please note that this is set in an alternate universe stone age where everyday is a struggle for survival. Not sure if it makes sense for people to be that much concerned about romance when they can barely survive. It is true that that the story telling is a bit dry, but that's just the authors style and it's humorous in its own subtle way (how people think of food like gold etc). On the "action", looks like things are... more>> picking up. I am giving it a tentative 5 just based on the very non-standard world building and theme for this website. <<less

But it's a bit boring, especially when there is no romance. All the story describe is just how the people never paid attention how the male dressed, whether they are nude or not?

Best chinese novel out there!First story that i've read that is not a copy paste!

It has an original plot, which starts a little bit slow because the MC is a weak orphan kid and has to learn to blend in at first (learning stuff and building relationships with other people). Later on as he grows up and gets stronger, there will be more action and adventure.

We don't have a usual cultivation system, which I find extremly annoying with all that categories and sub groups which are hard to remember expecially... more>> when you have an MC that can fight opponent that are way more stronger than him. Here is a tribal world that use totemic power (lower/intermediate/higher) which is simple and fits the tribalic mentality.

There is no romance, but what's wrong with this? Mainstream CN novels have idiotic harem for romance, which is not really romance but just fooling around and kid stuff, or a love interest that gets kidnapped/ moves away from the MC most of the time/dies and so on, becoming his motivation for getting stronger/ressurecting her etc. In both cases there is not actually much romance in it... romance is overrated!

There are no usual cliche. The MC has a good personality, the story arcs do not give you the feeling that is "the same thing different characters", no useless face slapping.

Some side characters get left behind as some point but just because the MC can;t bring them with him for a certain task or adventure.

A lot less chapters than othe novels which can be a good thing, because from my experience most novels that have thousands of chapters lack substance (author writing about useless stuff, or stuff he already said because he is paid for every word => more words, more pay). <<less

Novel is really good

I finished reading raws.

The story was not centered in romance. Its not like some other stories who have women with beauties that can overturn countries in which the author describe their beauty excessively. In this story, beauty was less significant because they don't put much importance to it but overall all women here were important. Survival was vital in this story. Its more like adventure, ancient themed life, action and supernaturals. It was really entertaining and interesting with some comedic atmosphere.

There were some whos complaining about lacking of romance but the good plot of the story makes up for the lack of romance.

They had 2 children or more, dont know the exact number of children, my reading comprehension in raws isn't that good, somewhat fuzzy... And I think the children were named after their father Shao Xuan. The child who first introduced was Shao Duo who loves hunting and Shao Xu is the younger brother who likes studying medicinal plants/herbs rather than hunting.

2. The transaction area built by the flaming horn tribe became the largest transaction city in the continent. It was named flame river city adapted from the previous name flame river transaction area..

3. Well dont know exactly, many years had been passed since then after the ending chapter 844 so maybe his age was in between late 30's to mid 40's....

4. They ended up cooperating with the MC.. they had no choice actually...

The extra chapter also tells about the heir of Yi Family.

I've read up quite ahead on raws with MTLs and it is still very good. Very different from regular cultivation grinding and slaughtering of the random enemies, resource hunting and consuming. It is very refreshing for me.

A different type of novel. A different type of MC. A different type of cultivation. A different type of setting and a different type of side characters - and all these in a good way. I strongly recommend this novel for those that want a decent MC, a MC that doesn't think like a psychopath. It's a MC that simply tries to integrate in the tribal society that he had wounded up in. Don't expect the MC slaughtering arrogant douchebags and don't expect the MC to be the once-in-a-thousand-years type... more>> of genius that doesn't put anyone in his eyes

This novel also lacks the rather embarrassing exaggerations of the usual xianxia - you'll not read about castles of 99999999 km in length and other similar bullshit. It's a very good novel, a very unique novel, without the usual mindless slaughter and harem crap. It's a strong 5 stars from me <<less

The story is interesting, the author doesn't rush things and instead set the atmosphere in a way to allow us to build the general scenery steadily. In short, it's a good story with many strong points such as an original MC who isn't arrogant neither overpowered. But then why do I only give this 3 stars? There are 2 main reasons :

5/5 It starts off slow, and I felt that this wouldn't be better than a 3.5/5 at the best. But as the story progresses, it just keeps getting better and better. The world is far more complex than it would seem in the beginning, and the story is also not as simple as you would have thought. There is plenty of mystery to keep you hooked, and the MC is a fun character to follow.

A great story that ended up surprising me.

Recommended to read. The story itself is like a slice of life at first and there is little to no humour and romances. Development is slow and world building is much on point

The side characters are given a set of personality and is growing alongside MC

Villains/archenemies wasn't completely brainless

The details are exquisite and the story itself is engaging

Plot armour is thick, but ignorable since the logic was played well, so far

A part of me feels like I watched my child grow into a fantastic adult bit by bit so it's really hard to not be a biased reviewer. I admit it, I am biased, I can't give an objective review on something I genuinely liked so much.

The ending is a little open ended, it's still a happy ending but it does feel like the author intends to build on this universe in a new book - at least I can see the scope for it there.

I've already done reading this novels til the end, and I'm really satisfied, but also leave some regret after it.

It was like when you wanna have a sneez but suddenly it doesn't come out!

The ending of story is leave me some space, I wanna read more, please continue the story!

MC is a university-aged Chinese guy who, after touching a... more>> magic stone at an archeological site, transports into the body of a dying 9-year-old orphan boy in a late Stone Age society. Think pre-agriculture but post-writing. There isn't a special magic system, but some kind of mystical superstrength and herbalism. No magical creatures or races, but the animals are ugly, large, and dangerous. There's no journeying, significant combat, wars, romance, or technology gap/cultivation. Which leads to my main criticism about the content, and my main one about the style.

There is very little going on, especially in the first 40 or so chapters. It's slice of life about MC looking for stones, crafting stones, and finding sources of food. There is little progression of the MC until he gets his super powers, which aren't out of the ordinary until he begins to unlock more abilities. Afterwards, things actually start to happen, mostly hunting and related activities. The content becomes somewhat more exciting, and the MC begins to interact with more characters.

However, even though the content progressively becomes more interesting, the writing style does not. It's very redundant and full of self-explanatory or irrelevant details. It feels like how kids will repeat the same thing over and over in different ways, or add unnecessary information, in order to make their essays longer. Additionally, the style is also very matter-of-fact, not much personality (personality of characters, relationships, tension, suspense, mystery, etc.).

Before chapters 40-50, I initially gave this series 2 stars because it was extremely boring. Then the content became much better, so I gave it 3-3.5 stars. But because the writing style hasn't improved, I think it is solidly a 3. I think half of readers who pick this up would lose interest at some point, especially the early chapters. But the story has enough content to maybe keep the other half hanging on. I think if you have lots of free time, wait until after c40's before deciding whether or not to drop. But if you don't have free time and have other series on your to-read list, maybe read those first.

Also, I'm not sure why the title has "Wars" in it, so far all the combat is just hunting ugly animals. <<less

Original concept with strong and intelligent MC. MC is very young and so far the story has been mostly world building and MC adapting and learning to survive in a savage fantasy Stone Age tribal world. There's totemic cultivation system, but it hasn't been fully explained yet.

As for now, this novel is pleasing to read. This author did a great job in creating an interesting and exciting novel without having most characters evil. Unlike most xianxia novel which solely focus in having the characters around the MC antagonistic, this one really have good intentioned characters and of course with bearable complications.I can't help but look forward for more.
