I was looking forward to this story...

But, unfortunately, the new update seems like not been edited the mtl, and the story getting hard to understand from Chapter 26.

Also, there are a lot of mistakes with the pronouns and some words,

It might be some minor mistake for some readers, but tbh it's ruined the mood to read the story.

I hope it will be fixed soon.

This novel is one of my favorite novels.

What I love the most is Qu Yanting and Lu Wen character developments.

Qu Yanting gained more confident and started to look forward to life because of Lu Wen. On the other hand, Lu Wen finally found his purpose and grow up because he wanted to protect Qu Yanting.

It's not the usual face slapping plot in the entertainment circle. :)

From when Lu Wen got on Qu Yan ting's car, to when they both were next to each other in the same car, their journey was full of incredible events.

I am happy for Qu Yan Ting. After going through all the hardships he found a shelter, a home, a lover. I am thankful to Lu Wen, if it wasn't for him Qu Yan Ting wouldn't be able to come out of his past shadows and become stronger.

JUST ADD THIS IN YOUR "TO READ" LIST ALREADY!! I'M SURE YOU WON'T REGRET.

UGH I wish I had some self control because I regret reading this so early!! With only around 20% translated chapters :' (I actually couldn't resist and went on to read from mtl (it was readable I guess) but mtl is never satisfying enough, I bet this novel will be more enjoyable with proper translation. So now I'll probably wait until the translation is completed or atleast over 75% to continue this again!

Quyanting was an unlucky person, he lived in the dim side and struggle by himself along the way to live in this world. The existence of Luwen in his life is the fresh ray of sunlight. Luwen is adorable and cheerful as he was raised the best by his father. Both are the missing piece of each other. Qyt need mental support and Lw need someone that will be his goal-driven.

It’s a good read. Their love is understanding and loving. The character development is good with traces of original character.

I originally didn't plan to write a review because I'm still into the story and feeling happy sweet melancholic. Second, I'm on my vacation so I don't want to write an essay. :≪ jk

So I'll just be quick and say/type:

I like the characterization, they are rounded, charismatic, and had depth in them. It makes it easier to sympathize and be in the story. Their chemistry? *Chef kiss. Jpg. The pace of this story is perfect for me, not fast and not very slow. The coincidences especially in the first part are practically telling them to open their eyes, ready their hearts, and rejoice because they met their pair. Those coincidences are so important and scary because what if it did not happen? But thankfully it seems that they are really for each other and when they put their future in their hands and decided to be together, boom, it all clicked and both of their lives become better and better.

In addition, although what I read is a translation, I can feel the style of how the author wrote the story. It is very artistic and sophisticated. I can see very much the high level of expressiveness through the characters' dialogue and the description of scenery or what is happening. And thankfully, the translator has a wide vocabulary and used many, not simple terms. I just kind of get lost sometimes in the web novels translation and slightly irritated by the wrong pronouns (like I didn't realize that Qu Yanting's master is a woman until the netizens were surprised that the s*um director husband, Zheng something, was gay, and I just thought that the pronouns was wrong on her). But I am grateful and acknowledge the translators' hard work. <<less

SWEET, SWEET, SWEET! I really love the couple's relationship.

At the first chapters, I really can't help but skim them because I'm being attacked by the second-hand embarrassment. &Gt;///_ ///<

But after you finished those hurdle, the novel will be smooth sailing. And MC really has low IQ, I cannot with him.

Recommend to read it if this is your type of tea novel.

My favorite part about this novel is how alive and real the relationship between ML and MC is portraid. While both show a significant personal growth, none of them purposely change themselves to suit the other. Rather, they learn and adapt, while remaining their distinct selves. They sometimes clash, frequently annoy each other, at times have significant disagreements; but they also find healthy ways to resolve conflicts, make effort to smooth the corners, and do their best to clear up misunderstandings whenever those arise.

It was ok in the beginning the bt as the story went by I felt the ML's age didn't fit his character. The personality was a straightforward, open and honest type bt with the naiveness and ignorance too he was more like 17yr old rather than 27 yr old. Considering the situation at home you'd expect a little life savviness I think that's what the disconnect was for me. Also dealing with someone who'd grown up with traumas (mc) the handling of the relationship while somewhat sweet ended coming off... more>> pretty childish. Again, if it were a younger character (even early 20s) it would've fit the behaviors and story I probably wouldn't even be writing this review bt it was hard to keep in mind his age while reading through.

The second site's messy translation didn't help.. No editing, gender mixups etc it was really more like mtl. Hope they fix that. <<less

A heartwarming story with an awesome MC and ML, who are there for each other covering each other's shortcomings. Not your typical showbiz novel, this directs more attention to love along with career stuff. It is just lovely to read, how our characters overcome their past and move forward and how they grow up and mature to protect their beloved.

Loved this story very much! 100% Recommended!
