In that game, Kim Woojin overwhelmingly ranked No. 1.

〈Player.〉
〈Congratulations.〉
〈You have exceeded our standards and shown potential.〉

[Notification: The final stage, Stage 6, has been unlocked!]

With that message, he finds himself reincarnated as the son of a wealthy Chaebol within the game. But there’s a catch—he possesses no physical talent, only boundless wealth and a terrible body.

‘Fortunately, there’s a solution.’

In this world, a master’s talent doesn’t limit their summons, and equipment can be augmented. And the class capable of summoning the most powerful allies is…

“Necromancer, isn’t it?”

So he is a vr streamer with a game that lets you experience it like reality in 50% and he only plays that 1 game that is known to be hard like you can pick the wizard character but you have to practice to do magic. The setting in the game is that typical gate and awakened genre with a system helping the awakened.

Now MC is was doing the final character clear which was a rich mans son and is swordsman class but sadly a talentless tr*sh person, like his... more>> body isnt really god for fighting not in a way that he is a wimp but more on how that bodies potential is limited.

He gets transmigrated into that body but it was before that person awakens, because in the power setting when you awaken you get a book and you get to choose what class you are from that book. MC being smart took up the necromancer class because as stated before his body is talentless and low potential, now because the MC played this game for years in a 50% close to reality setting he is very good with the sword. Now as a necromancer he chose it because, well the necromancer class has the most humanoid summons and he wants to use his identity of a rich persons son to buy all his undead summons good gear to make them strong. Its pretty nice <<less

Brilliant time passer, definition of generic

Recommended? Sure, not for those looking for a complex plot though.

Review (spoiler free)

Plot/Premise - 2/5: You've seen this one before, just by the inclusion of the word "necromancer" in the title along with the premise of being transmitigrated into a video game world, you already know it's going to be less unique then Russian Mr. Beast. The further you go in the novel, the less and less risk the main character will receive, getting more and more predictable. Most of the additional plot points... more>> are done poorly, with some only coming into play 100 chapters later, which just realistically causes confusion and is only done for the continuity of the novel to get more chapters. The author clearly had the average webnovel revelation of "Oh! I don't actually need a new plot to get some views!" and decided to write the setting of the novel.

Style (Execution/Worldbuilding/Pacing) - 4/5: The saving grace of this novel is the style, the execution is done fairly well for an absolute dumpster truck of a premise it's given. It's the type of book that gives you exactly what's on the cover, a generic yet enjoyable read packed with predictable action and truck full of dopamine. The pacing is done incredibly well for someone like me (reading a few chapters coming back from work/school), the speed is able to make each and every chapter exciting and something to look forward to, knowing each chapter is going to have significance to the story. The worldbuilding is as you would expect, ilsung makes phones, Japan's a idiot and so is China, America's ego is over 9000, it's Korean worldbuilding at its finest, wouldn't expect anything less.

Characters - 2/5: You could see this coming from a mile away, you guessed it, it's generic. The Main Character is a know-it-all king of coincidences whose plot armour thickens with each chapter. The Side characters are better carbon copies of Player Who Returned 10000 Years Later. Finally, the villans have just about as much depth as a baby pool. The MC does allow for a relaxing read which is exciting and filled with substance, making you want to read the next chapter without dropping devestating cliff hangers, but the characterization just really isn't anything special. <<less

I have been reading this series for a while and I can confidently say that This necromancer series is pretty diff from the others (at least the base plot line is). It takes the oversaturated genre of necromancy and puts a fun twist to it.

The MC here has a proper personality too, not like the cold n personality less MCs we normally see in these kind of stories. He is calculative, fun, has a personality of a person who is fun to be around. He can be cold ruthless when... more>> needed but he can be also a caring older brother too when needed.

The side characters here are pretty fun too, they have character, motivation and everything. In fact the latest Main side character introduced got a Fantastic setup, hell it made me tear up in some places.

My fav characters are obviously the summons Especially the mage summon he has. She is an awesome character and the best thing about her is her personality and the way she interacts with the MC and the others. She is such a fun character.

All in all this a fun and good story. The plot here is still picking up, many things are yet to be revealed. I am loving it. The Translation Quality is pretty good too. This needs to be more famous, I would Highly Recommend it. <<less

Just putted 5 stars to raise the rating for a bit. It honestly deserves 3.6 stars. Ahem the story is kinda generic but has a bit of comedy going on. It's where the MC uses money and is trying to earn more money to raise his necromancer skills. He was born a diamond spoon and knows the steps to be strong because he transmigrated into a difficult to clear character in which was in a game he was playing for years. I liked that the MC gets injured and is... more>> persistent in battle. <<less

A light comment on something interesting the author tried to tackle in this story. Reconciling Islam within a hunter world. It's quite an interesting subject considering an "awakened" in reality would probably come under someone who seeked the help of a Djinn which falls under Sihr (Black Magic). The author likely didn't research too deep into it and merely brought it up so he can have the MC get oil money from the Middle East but nonetheless it was interesting that to the author, "Allah blessed the awakened with abilities".... more>> Effectively making them a saint of sorts, holding them in religious authority. Now in reality, that could happen. But theologically, that could never happen. Islam doesn't have a pope that oversees the entire religion, nor a bishop with any such religious authority. It only divides the believers in that regard into two: Scholars and laymen; even then the scope of authority for a scholar is limited. And an awakened certainly doesn't make one a scholar so there exists no authority there. Nor does an awakened have any proof of being blessed in the religious texts so no authority there either.

Certainly, the author did not research deeply into it but it was food for thought seeing a Korean author try tackle something so unfamiliar <<less

I'm not gonna summarize the plot because a lot of people have already done it, but it's definitely a fun read. If you're into necromancers/summons, I would recommend this to read as the MC is an EX-rank necromancer and he goes on to have a diverse cast of summons with more to come. The story introduces skeleton learning, which I found amusing and refreshing instead of having brainless skeletons that are just mass assault infantry (not saying anything is wrong with that either).

story-wise, aside from the usual Korean nationalism (Korea... more>> #1, China bad, NK gone, yadayadayada), my gripe is that there are a LOT of writing that emulates forum comments. Like:

-"hahaha isn't Minwoo a god?"

-" (insert another comment here) "

there are so many chapters where damn near 70% of the chapter is just comments, which im not saying shouldn't belong in webnovels, but jesus christ man lay off the damn comments I get it im tryna read the story!! <<less
