“The circus claims there are only three steps to taming a wild beast,” Ophelia recited, closing the book with a thoughtful snap.

“First, reduce their food until they learn the agony of hunger.

Second, when they disobey, w**p their raw backsides with a cane.

Third, reward them with treats when they behave.”

“Her golden eyes gleamed as they settled on the girl locked inside the cage, a thick iron chain coiled around her neck.

‘That way,’ Ophelia smiled, ‘you’ll have yourself a perfectly obedient beast in no time.’

She snapped the book shut and turned to the caged girl, her smile deepening.

‘Don’t you agree, Nymph~?’

The girl called Nymph narrowed her eyes, a shadow of malice flickering across her delicate face.

She bared her small fangs and growled,

‘Ophelia, one day I’ll rip off your limbs and crush your bones with my teeth—grrk!’

Her threat stopped abruptly.

The rage on her face twisted into panic.

‘Huh?’

Ophelia tugged the iron chain around Neph’s neck through the bars, a thrill glinting in her eyes.

‘Being naughty again, are we~?’

‘Shall today’s lesson be the little w**p… or maybe a bit of s***ocation play~?'”
