In her past life, due to an unexpected drowning accident, Ye Qingshui, a village girl, was forced to marry a male educated youth from the city who had no choice but to wed her to quell the rumors. However, married life was far from the happiness she had imagined.

The man divorced her in order to return to his hometown, leaving her with nothing, even losing her child.

Reborn and given another chance, Ye Qingshui has realized the truth—if a man wants to leave, let him roll away as far as he pleases.

Wait, not so fast! Before he goes, there’s still that little child who has yet to arrive—her precious baby.

**A naive but beautiful village girl VS a wealthy and handsome man who was set up in marriage**

1. A sweet romance with a focus on food, 1V1, and really fragrant face-slapping moments.

2. The male lead was never a s*umbag in both lives.

3. Why the ML left her was a mystery, there were a lot of things she didn’t know but would understand later.

In the world there are childish behaviors and petty adults. I don’t know how to phrase it better, but all adults including the MC acts and thinks like a throwing tantrum toddler, childish, especially the ML. If this was a better braindead novel, I would’ve been fine if the ‘annoying’ cannon fodders were just petty adults scheming for small gains, but from the characters to the settings to the dynamics were all so carelessly and rushly done.

And the ML, how are you gonna make someone cool and mysterious, but they... more>> can’t control their expressions, emotions, and don’t consider other things—from people to situation to principles—at all? Just a boy drooling over good food with nothing good to offer, especially words. Even special attention to MC feels so abrupt like he didn’t meant it at all and don’t care—so unromantic. <<less

A sweet and heartwarming novel. The first half leaves a sour feeling, especially when you can’t help but sympathize with the MC due to her past life experiences.

The ML grows on you, even before the misunderstandings are cleared up. His loving and devoted character really stands out. I also enjoyed the balance between family, romance, and business-building—each aspect gets just the right amount of attention, making the story well-rounded.

I loved this. Definitely worth reading.
