Nice novel with the right mix of comedy, romance and obstacles to overcame for the couple to reach their happy ending.

After 500 years of marriage, the MC is fed up with her almost silent, uncommunicative and a bit controlling husband and decides to divorce. He seems to comply without any opposition but immediately after the divorce cerimony, he steals a powerful magical artifact, which can travel though time, to go back before their marriage and kill her. Luckily, the MC delays him and joins him during the time jump. Although... more>> shocked and speechless by her ex husband's inexplicable actions, the MC manages to convince the ML to cooperate in preventing their previous selves from falling in love and marry. The first part of the novel is the best: funny, light hearted with plenty of comedy as the two leads soon realizes that it is no easy task to stop fate from happening. The MC gradually learns about the ML's past and why he was secretive, taciturn, almost unloving during their marriage. The second part of the novel is darker and sadder. It explores in details the ML's past but, my personal opinion, I felt it dragged a little and reiterate something we already know.

It finally improves towards the end, I especially liked how the ending connectes to the beginning of the novel <<less

My emotions are overflowing it is not right how this novel manipulated my mind and soul to like it so much that I can't describe.....

• • The story was started with a bit of light hearted plot that I thought whole plot would be like that but no it was so good and deeply intriguing and how strangely and mysterious things gets adding up and finally gets balanced out you feel like what I was reading, where I ended up coming and where I ended my journey

• • The way both main protagonists are so right in their places you wont be able to judge or say that should do this or that because whatever happened in the novel was finely balanced out throughout the chapters with reasons explained and understanded by the main leads

• • Both sacrificed so much for eachother and finally got their happy ending

• • You won't get to see more than 3 kissing scenes in the novel because the plot is more instead of the romance means the setting up of romance comes when both main leads are in understanding with eachother and maybe some angered up scene right.. sometimes I really wanted FL to just cuddle with ML and hug the ML tightly I really felt I was with
    them lol because you wont get those romantic scenes that much I wanted them to have atleast act coquettishly atleast so that lessen the longing and pain and misunderstanding
    looks like I am too single lol
    but I fell in love with them both I really feel for them like a mother

This story actually has so much potential! I only read the translated chapters by Bunnyonthemoon but so far it's superrr interesting. The first few chapters that I read laid the background of the story. It's about a pair of fairy and demon (or devil? Idk but he's from the dark side) who very much in love they defied even the Queen of Kunlun to marry each other. But during the 500 years of their married life, our MC grow weary of the husband who cared for her in a strict... more>> way and demanded a divorce (it's so relatable dangg, even true love would wear off when you can't accommodate each other's taste. The MC basically said "I love you but I love spicy food more" lmao). The husband (idk he's the ML or not) has soooo many secret. His actions were yet explained and it might contain some secret purposes behind it.

The MC only started to notice after their divorce that she barely know her husband, she's almost clueless. Maybe it's because she truly loved him so she never questioned him and just trusted him blindly. I feel like there would be many secrets unfold in the future, mainly due to the ML.

This is a shout out to translators out there to pick this story up cause it has the potential! It's Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's novel afterall so I don't doubt the quality <<less

This novel is a masterpiece (even though I'm not a fan of first person POV), both ML and FL are quite stubborn and headstrong (in different ways). I've read 3 novels of JLFX and all were relatively lighthearted and didn't make me cry. I thought it's gonna be like those 3 but of course it's Jiu Liu Fei Xiang 😀

so far, I'm giving this a 5 star!
