after Iris leaves she plans to go to the South to spend her days comfortably before she dies because the warmth helps to alleviate the painful symptoms of the ice heart disease. But while she is waiting to board her train she meets an Old woman who she helps and the old woman looks at her tells her she's kind and that she should be kinder to herself and the old woman's words kind of make Iris realize that she can live for herself and do things for herself so she rips up her ticket to the South and decides to board a train going to the north where the ice witch's curse began in an attempt to find a magician who could possibly cure her. Well she does realize it's not a great possibility to be cured she would rather try her hardest and go without regrets, so she's in the north now. She's boards a carriage with some other passengers but then they get attacked by bandits and Iris tries to help them by negotiating saying saying she would give them all of her money and items of monetary value if leave afterwards so she's tossing them her gold and checks. And as she's handing over the checks the bandits see the emblem of the dutchie her ex-husband presides over and she tells him it's like yeah I'm related to them so if you harm me you know that something horrible will happen to you and so that kind of solidifies her plan. So she continues you know giving them all our money even the gold that she hid in her shoes but then she hesitates because she has her wedding ring on her and she does not want to give that up. The bandits catch that she has something else on her that she doesn't want to give up and try to get it they go to try to hurt her but then out of the left field comes her ex-husband and some knights. It's revealed that he had some people watching her as she goes and when she decided to go to the north instead they reported to him and he hurried over so then the bandits are captured and dealt with everyone rides their destination and he stays with her and so they stop at a village meet a magician who turns out to be the son of the old woman that Iris helped and that old woman herself is a witch. Then The story goes to Iris and her ex living in a house together and almost abandoned village nearby the mountain where the ice witch placed her curse. The old woman's son Theo has a plan to remove the ice heart disease from Iris which is a curse because his own wife had died from it but it is later found out that the ice which didn't curse anything she had actually placed a seal as there is another world like a mirror world where the fairies and whatnot live and it is where which is a magicians get their power from and the boundary between the worlds thinned and we're going to merge and destroy their own so the ice which had sealed it off but because of the nature of this ice magic the seals uneven and the people who can track the ice heart disease after you born on very unlucky days which Iris was. Then Iris learns that to cure her disease they would have to undo that seal and then seal it again but to reseal it it would need a sacrifice of a noble persons blood flesh and soul. Both her ex-husband and Theo were planning to sacrifice themselves but Iris learned of it through the old woman whose name is Hannah and met with other witches to find a way not to sacrifice someone. So iris is trying to figure out a way and she thinks to herself if you divide it up into 100 pieces there wouldn't be much strain on anyone so she goes to the witches says her plan they put into place and they gather the blood flesh and soul of 100 people just the one percent so it harm them then they go and undo the seal she's cured and they try to reseal it but it isn't enough because the soul has to have a strong will to protect so then Iris who has some magical capabilities? That wasn't explained very well but the fairies like her. She cuts off her hair which holds the soul and uses that to help with the new seal and prays to the fairies that the seal would not be broken until all the love in the world is gone. Then that's pretty much the end of the main story she goes and meets her parents again he can make expressions and speak as she wishes the king makes a visit to her because he knows one of the witches and owes favors to her and can't really go against her and explains to iris that while her steal is very powerful there will be consequences and the witches predicted that it would cause something to happen in the South. He asks if she was willing to take care of it she agrees and then her ex-husband comes over and asks her to remarry him because he loves her and she says I would like to marry soon explains what she's going to do and then he laughs looks at her lovingly says that he would be willing to wait forever and then they kiss.
