“In the first place, she was a demon; how could she have been corrupted after meeting a human like me? Those critics always say absurd things.”

In 1798, Archbishop Rance, in an interview with journalists, was asked about his past with the exiled princess of the demon clan and the recent signs of the demon clan’s resurgence. He stated:

“I have made too much effort to defend world peace. I am very certain that under her leadership, there is absolutely no possibility of the demon clan reviving.”

In the winter of 1802, the demon clan successfully revived.

【Based on the above material, please indicate who the main culprit for the revival of the demon clan was and explain why it was Rance. (10 points)】

I'm fond of these kinds of MC's that tend to be "dense" in all the right ways: aggravating for other characters to deal with, but a pleasure to read. I enjoy this kind of humor, you might not.

Setting so far is quite similar to "There's Absolutely Nothing Wrong With The Magic Cards I Make!", as other reviewer pointed out. Definitely different enough that it doesn't feel like a clone, but undeniably has some heavyinspirations from that. Overall, it's a good enough read to waste many hours on, but don't expect... more>> anything spectacular or life-changing.

I do need to complain about the translation a little though, there's just too many artifacts from the AI translator being used. Pronouns like "he" and "she" are often mixed up, which is inexcusable for Chinese because those two characters are very clearly different. There's also random lines that "summarize" the translation midway through a chapter; I assume these are the auto-generated titles which somehow got copied over. Plus, some of the more complex terms like names or "game terms" can get regularly mixed up or mistranslated. I verified all of this by reading ahead through the raws as well -- none of these artifacts appear there. Hopefully this is improved a bit in future chapters. <<less

I think the first word I came across reading this webnovel was inexplicable.

Does it carry some of the same tropes as card webnovels? Sure, card apprentice, Cataclysm card king, My cards have infinite chains, supposedly There's Absolutely Nothing Wrong With The Magic Cards I Make (I haven't read this one).

However the main character Ranch Wilford goes on an exciting adventure similar to The villain wants to live. While other similarly adjacent stories such as paradise abyss doesn't allow idle wanderers, what's the crash / bug, and the various weirdness genre... more>> trend leans into the absurdity of fantasy. DCMC is a relatively light hearted adventure with plenty of comedic moments.

Really fun relaxing read, I found it quite enjoyable. <<less

It's pretty fun so far... but it definitely takes a lot from There's Absolutely Nothing Wrong With The Magic Cards I Make! and there's no denying that. It changes the plot a little (at least in the first 46 chapters I'm reading) but some characters and settings remain the same.

This time, our MC is a bit crazy as well and creates unique cards like Dekan, of which a lot of the cards are similar. The familiar Gag Order and the card that amplifies the desires/emotions makes it into the story... more>> for instance. However, our MC here is a law abiding citizen who memorizes all the laws of the country and the academy, so he takes legal means to solve the problems posed upon him. That's one of the gimmicks they put on the MC.

It's fun, notwithstanding the plagiarism you should read this <<less
