On my way home from part-time, I passed by a place where an accident had occurred, then I found myself in an unfamiliar place and met with a goddess. That goddess didn’t even realize she’d made a mistake, and I fell into another world.

The world I fell into was an otome game world filled with beastmen, people with animalistic features.

Beastmen?

Rabbit tribe?

I’m an omega?

I understood nothing of this other world.

I landed in a forest, so I wandered.

First off, what kind of world did I fall into?! I resented the goddess.

In this world, I met…

KumaBear Restaurant’s Shingi and Maya.

The pharmacist Saronna-baasan.

The daughter of the Duke, who was reincarnated into this world, Rossa-jou.

My Fated One, Volte.

A/N: My first attempt at omegaverse. Please don’t be too hard on me.

A/N: Thank you for reading. I’ve changed the title. The manuscript has been revised.

The is a cute read. Nothing about it particularly stands out compared to other stories but this is a good way to pass the time. I liked it and was sufficiently entertained for the couple of hours it took me to read this.

The story itself has the generic formula of an isekai MC just trying to figure out life with beastman and A/B/O dynamics. The plot itself starts out just fine but towards the middle and end, you can tell that the author didn't really have an end in mind... more>> and just rushed it. Possibly to give this story a proper conclusion. The rushed ending is the reason why I knocked off a star.

MC and ML themselves also don't particularly stand out in the genre. They feel like your run of the mill MC and ML. But that's okay. Generic doesn't mean bad. I see lots of generic cakes and you bet I'll eat them all.

This story is NSFW. This goes back into the A/B/O dynamics so this is honestly expected. But those NSFW scenes don't really last long and generally not explicit as other stories get.

If you're looking for in depth drama and epic justice p*rn, this is not for you. Again, this is one of those stories you would read to pass the time. It's interesting enough if you like this genre, but does not have world changing plot twists that alot readers want. I highly recommend not coming into this story with those kinds of expectations. <<less

Low 3 stars: A mildly pleasant, shallow, and very generic story that banks on its multiple genres (beastman! Omegaverse! Otome-game-transmigration/isekai/rebirth! Generic fantasy world with game-based leveling and an adventurer's guild!) to carry it through but ultimately is nothing more than its basic tags and is therefore is very forgettable. There's no real drama or conflict or mystery, cliché plot points happen and are almost immediately resolved in the expected cliché way, and most characters are nice and caring toward the generic haplessly humble protagonist, which isn't a bad thing if... more>> you're in the mood for a mindless feel-good read with some unremarkable generic smut. The translation is good at least.

It's not a bad story. It's light on content as very little of interest happens and all the plot points are as generic as can be—in fact, they're SO generic they don't even deserve spoiler tags: The MC meeting the hot prince who turns out to be the rookie adventurer he unknowingly rescued a few years ago at which time the prince realized they were Fated Mates and has sought out his unknown savior ever since! The MC has OP super rare secret healing powers (that ultimately don't really cause him any trouble or are really a problem) ! The prince very briefly dons a secret commoner-adventurer identity to get closer to the MC! Etc.

There's only one more unusual and somewhat interesting plot element and very little is done with it so it ends up feeling like wasted potential:

Spoiler

The MC has taken on the role of the originally-female heroine in the otome game due to the goddess's mistake, while the girl (also from his/our world) apparently originally slated to fill that role instead got reborn as the prince's fiancée. Instead of turning out to be a villainess, she instead is happy to find out the MC is also a fellow isekai-er and they're both from Japan and they bond instantly over food, and she fully supports him being with the prince. Unlike the MC, she's familiar with the original game and is able to advise him on some stuff.

Unfortunately, despite the potential for her playing a bigger role and there being more of a plot or at least more interesting interpersonal relationships, because the story is so short and fast-paced while also containing little content, this fiancée girl is nothing more than a fun side character who plays a very small role.

[collapse]

That's another point for making this a mid story: Even following its own tropes and clichés, things happen way too fast. That whole secret adventurer identity thing lasts a whole like two or three chapters, and the chapters are very short. Other plot points pop up and are resolved almost immediately too. There's no tension because it's so generic and then there's even less than no tension because things get revealed/resolved so quickly.

There are smut scenes because it's omegaverse beastman romance. The scenes are all right, nothing special, and not particularly long (while some of them take up whole chapters, the chapters are, again, pretty short in general). If you're uninterested in the R18 stuff, these chapters can easily be skipped.

There's sort of a climax to the story but it happens quickly and the hastily-introduced antagonist is both generic with very little about him being known, and is dealt with equally quickly while also being written off with a number of weirdly random negative details just make sure you know he's definitely a Bad Guy.

Spoiler

One of the hidden romance route characters, a prince from a neighboring country who is a fox beastman named Fox (yeah lol), decides he wants the MC as his mate and meets him a couple of times while pressing his suit in a pushy but not necessarily bad or creepy way (considering the genre). The reborn side character girl warns the MC that Fox in the original game becomes obsessive and so the male lead prince challenges Fox to a duel, with the stakes being Fox gets the MC if he wins, and banishment from this country if he loses. ML is so badass and the story so generic that he wins instantly in a single blow only for Fox to suddenly whip out a vial of illegal magic drugs or something which he imbibes and tries to kill the ML, only for the ML to still win, and decree that Fox is permanently banished and also for transporting illegal drugs into this country there will have to be reparations from Fox's home country and—yeah, it's pretty ridic although the story treats it as utterly serious.

[collapse]

If you want a stress-free easily-skimmable not very long story, something you can pick up to read while waiting for something and not pay a lot of attention to, this is good for that. I ended up doing exactly that halfway through the story and it was actually a decent way to pass the time while waiting for other things because I didn't have to focus on following a plot or remember important details since, uh, there kind of are no important details, lol. <<less
