The restaurant owner being small minded thinking that her restaurant was too small for MC and not good enough.. That's why MC left, WHEN CLEARLY SHE'S THE ONE WHO TOOK THE MONEY AND FCKING TOLD ON MC. DON'T ACT LIKE A VICTIM!

And there's the siblings. I need to see them got hurt seeing MC got thin and sick from their actions. Unfortunately, our MC was too nice. We can only read some of the hurt, not fully.

Personally, I wouldn't say either the MC/ML was in the wrong which caused them to not see each other until 8 years later. Ultimately, it was just a consequence of their decision. The MC persisted in his first love which caused him to have (mental) health consequences and the ML decided to leave without looking back because he felt like it would be the best choice for the 2 of them. Although the MC's siblings played a major part in causing the initial separation, the main characters still had a chance to see each other again but it was fate and their own decisions which stopped them from doing so.

god I hate MC’s brother & sister. I know they wanted the best for MC but why are they deciding everything for him!! Even after MC runs away the first time they did not learn their lesson.

ML character was quite flawed and it is somehow realistic. I really wish that he would try to trust MC more. Which could solve most of their problem. But it is realistic since they have only known eo for a few months and our ML had a dark past. It is understandable for his character, but ugh I just feel so sorry for our MC.

Yes, I do think the siblings are not really at fault. They wanted the best for the MC, but they did it wrong. Imagine putting MC through that for 8 years.

I can’t blame ML, he had a hard past so obviously he did that because he cared for MC. It just maybe he should do something like “If in 2 years you’re still into me bla bla —“ kind of thing.

As for MC, he’s rich right. And if he can’t find the person anymore, maybe he could put in the social media or something. Post the picture of their bracelet or the photo at Jiangnan.

Mc's Siblings and that store owner was pissing me off so much. I knew everything was about to go down when they offered the money and the store owner accepted it.

The store owner wasn't the devil, sure, you can say that she is morally grey but not malicious, but her actions were selfish and disappointing. She knew she would've treated MC well without the money. And yet, the second she saw an envelope of cash, she took it. That's what hurts—she didn't need the money to be kind, but she still accepted it. That greed makes it feel like her kindness was for sale.

And then she stayed silent. When things were falling apart, when ML was being painted as someone who took advantage of MC, she could have stepped in. She could have stopped the misunderstanding. But she waited. She only spoke up when everything had already crumbled. That cowardice, that delay, makes her just as responsible for the heartbreak as anyone else.

Now the siblings. Their love felt more like control. Instead of protecting MC, they caged him. They didn't trust him to live, to love, or to decide anything for himself. And when he finally found someone, someone who cared about him without asking for anything, they destroyed it. They didn't even try to understand ML—they just saw his past, saw a threat, and stepped in like they had the right.

I really hate the fact that they twisted the truth, convincing MC that his colleagues and ML were only kind to him because they were paid to be. They made him believe that the world was a cold, evil place, and that his brief moments of kindness were all just illusions.

What makes it worse? They waited until after MC was completely broken before telling the truth. Only after he became a shell of who he was did they try to make things right. But how do you fix something that's already shattered? You don't. And that's what makes them so infuriating. Their love didn't feel like care—it felt like possession. And their "sorry" didn't undo the damage they caused.

And im so happy that ML found Zeng Nanyue. His biological parents friend. Who also became his master.

i would like to add one more thing. I think the older sister and brother's relationship is weird. Legally its not wrong but morally..... im lowkey disgusted.
