So, got to about chapter 15, and it's an interesting take on the "Reverse c*astity" isekai setting. Main character finds himself in a reversed world, and expects girls to be eager to fall all over him, but doesn't see that. Instead, his family and childhood friend call him creepy, and so he concludes that his social anxiety is sabotaging him.

(Just getting my thoughts out there, but spoilers ahead)

Spoiler

Turns out, his family and friend are gaslighting him, out of some misguided attempt to "protect" (read: isolate) him. Honestly, it has me hating his sister, mom and childhood friend. His sister and childhood friend, are just f*cking creeps, who were attempting to isolate him because he was "too cool" and cute, convincing themselves it was for his own good, so they've threatened and pushed away all the girls away from him in Middle School, to the point that he had no friends. Meanwhile, his mom, I hate the most, even though she only shows up for a few lines, and is never heard from again. Why is she the worst?—Because how the f*ck do you do that to your own child?

Of course, this gaslighting was working on the previous version of the MC—the original inhabitant of his body had become isolated, and was beginning to grow clingy towards his childhood friend, who hadn't openly called him creepy, and instead took advantage of the sister's plan to become the only one he talks to. But after the MC wakes up in this body, and tries to ask her about whether he's creepy, the dumbass panics, and says yes, hoping to get him to go back in his shell. But all this really does is damage his self-esteem, while simultaneously cause him to see her negatively, all without her knowing.

So it's looking like the sister and childhood friend are just sabotaging themselves, while the brother reshapes his image and tries to get into shape, and upon entering highschool is immediately getting closer to other girls.

[collapse]

So it looks like the author is taking things in an interesting direction, with the misunderstandings, psychological ab*se, and what's looking to be self-inflicted NTR (in the sense that the MC is going to be snatched away from the sister & childhood friend, because they're idiots, lol).

My only real issue with this series is that the MC has little common sense. Like, he's genre aware, having read plenty of stories, including reverse c*astity world stories, but he's never really gone to school because of sickness, and so, even though he knows he's in a reversed world, the fact of the matter is that because he never went to school in his past life, he doesn't actually know how teenagers act in school. And I guess I just can't relate to that kind of clueless airheadedness? <<less
