This whole thing is an exercise in anger management. The MC is a wimp in every sense of the word. Is it supposed to be comical in nature to see the MC act like he's trying for the position of 'World's Biggest Doormat?' And, it's not like the author is unaware of this since other characters in the story repeatedly points this problem out to the MC. Or, am I supposed to take him as some paragon of virtue (he isn't) when he thinks about not fighting? He even calls himself a pacifist (he really isn't) just because that probably sounded nice in the author's head at about that time.

He's sexually harassed by a creep and does nothing about it. Supposedly played for laughs, gets crickets in return. His 'friends' completely disregard his personal space and privacy and he does nothing about it. Supposedly played for laughs, comes off as showing how weak-willed the MC is. At the end of volume 3, he gets dominated by a dog. No words about this one, a dog is superior to the MC.

And it's not like he's actually weak in terms of his body or his magic. He's broken in the general fashion of many isekai protagonists. His brain is the weak link, here.

At one point, he apathetically receives a beating and he's like 'uh, okay, ' and the perpetrators aren't heard of again. It's not like they were unknowns either. This is another major problem, things just seem to phase out and never be mentioned again. Dude has a fan-club, they build him a goddamn castle like three weeks into his first academic year and... nothing. No mentions thereafter.

At one point, some minor neighboring noble threaten to call up his buddy the prime minister and sic him on the MC and his family. The MC, of course, starts begging and crying on the ground at this point to be left off the hook. f*cking why? He's on friendly terms with the Queen, on best-bro-quasi-mentor terms with the Second Prince and on cordial terms with the First Prince. Half the kingdom would ride up the MC's pelvis at a snap of his finger and yet he cry like a little bit*h every time someone bites back, even if it's not even worth mentioning.

This isn't slice of life, this is sluice of coward. Volume 1 was okay. Volume 2 was suspiciously droll. Volume 3 just made me want to wring the MC's neck.

Second prince : “Your level in smithing high is and and you also possess the qualities to rule over the people. In addition, the power of your magic. Ah, please let me call you aniki”

MC : “Um, sure.”

Ill start off with the biggest spoiler and issue with the novel I have, then back track to other aspects of the novel

BIGGEST ISSUE: Is that the MC dies/kills himself at the end of the series (Ill explain). He gets beat up by weakling bullies several times, then gets framed and sent to prison. Luckily he beats the prison bosses and becomes the new leader starting a new city in the prison and everybody becomes happy in prison (weird, funny, but enjoyable read). He gets out of prison and his love/waifu (purple haired dukes daughter) is missing for several months and he spends all his resources looking for her, but never finds her (read the arc if you want to know more). Anyways he eventually goes home and finds his whole territory withering and dieing. He eventually meets up with his houses librarian old guy and his old friend who tells them that the land is cursed and the seal has broken, everything will wither and die. Oh, and his waifu (purple haired girl) is there, she ran away and was saved by the library mans old friend. Anyways his unique protagonist/MC's body is unique and can reseal the curse at the cost of his death. He does it and his waifu joins him, they kiss and die together... The land is saved, no one knows what happened to him and continue to search for both him and his waifu and believe they will return one day... they dont, it becomes a story passed on for generations and everyone eventually forgets about them. But his house remains empty and no one lives there as a memorial to him... The end... seriously.. the end.. The worst writing ever, it would of been better and he would of lioved longer if he just stayed the fat bad guy. He would of at least lived a lot longer and marry/live with his waifu...

Everything else are just smaller issues with the novel

The blacksmith skills serve no purpose in the story, you can delete it from existence and it wont change the plot at all.

The memories in the game and his past life do absolutely nothing for the story or progression, other than him making friends with the Games heroine in the beginning.

The student alliances made early on through the fan clubs and everything serve no purpose, they are never mentioned again, along with the Purple haired heroines followers.

No real progress with any relationship through the most part of the series, only that the games MC girl (black haired poor girl) somehow starts falling in love with The MC's assistant from his hometown, and slightly builds up a friendly relationship with the prince.

MC's two best friends disappear to another country. (Cant remember if they return, either way they do absolutely nothing in the series)

MC is a coward that gets beat up several times, as well as bad things happen to his friends which he doesnt do anything about either.

Pretty much nothing happens. It turns into a weird slice of life and then he dies at some random point in the story with his love and end. All he ever gets is a single kiss and romance after that cuz they die... yup, worst novel ever. I regret ever finding this novel

The MC is not originally one of those high spec males. Instead, he was a regular fatty who was supposed to fall into ruin along with the villainess, as said earlier.

The MC’s body is kinda high spec.

The MC has a realistic job of magic user and blacksmith.

The MC’s family is laid back and that results in their territory declining. The MC soon changes this around.

Others I can’t think of.

The main title is bullshit, it's not about the MC becoming a blacksmith to avoid the bad end. He became a master blacksmith in about a year and it only took a few chapters for that to happen, and that's it. The story then turns into some wish fulfillment fantasy with the MC making his father's territory rich and prosperous, become powerful and gain the good graces of the queen and second prince. Basically means don't mess with him cause he got connections. It's still barely acceptable for me at this point but it gets worse.

The MC then enters the academy, met new friends and MC got a fangirl that starts a fan club with him for whatever reason. MC got plenty of members in his fan club so they started to build a castle but the castle cannot be completed because Fan club arc got dropped hard and that fangirl and the fan club disappeared from the story.

You know what, fine. I'm still okay with this, maybe the arc will resume much later. But then the powerful MC that are skilled in magic and swordsmanship and has a magical magic sword that he forged himself and also capable of killing monsters with ease is actually a spineless whimp that can't solve sh*t while keeping his backbone intact because why the f*ck not m8, this ain't your average wish fulfillment fantasy no more. Some dude stole he and his friend's miracle plant and MC found out about it. Goes to confront them by transforming into a giant radish monster because he wants to stay incognito for s*upid reasons, failed miserably and still got found out anyway and instead of fighting back he let the ret*rds beat him up. But then he changed his mind and cast some destructive magic or whatever and ended himself. I'm kidding, he did not die, he got punished for harming the thieves that are beating him up tho. At this point I just give up and decides to drop this since its too ridiculous.

I mean, think about it. Who wound win in a medieval trial?

The heir to the most prosperous territory that he himself made prosperous and are liked by the crown prince, the crown prince's aide that are totally not gay, the second prince, the f*cking queen, the daughter of the prime minister, a magical cat sensei, a bunch of fan bois and fan gurls (that mysteriously disappeared) and are the one who got his stuff destroyed and stolen

Bruh, I can't even. I give up. I only wanted to read some relaxing stuff after a stressful day and I got more stressed instead.

So many people was upset that the author ended off with everyone you cared about being dead. Well, they awake in vol 7. in a cocoon and time skip of quite a number of years.
