I thought this was just okay. For a wife-chasing crematorium, I was hoping for more angst but I think it was too short to really delve into that.

I enjoyed this very much, my heart hurts especially in the first chapters.

It was satisfying when the ML was having a hard time pursuing the MC. He deserved the cold treatment for being close minded. It even irritates me when he was possessive to MC after seeing him with his assistant.

Gradually though, I came to forgive the ML together with the MC.

I'm just happy he was able to realize it and MC is now getting the treatment he deserves.

It's basically a crematorium, if you are looking for that you are in the right place. I don't think it deserves such a low rating of 1 or 2.

ML wasn't an absolute s*umbag, he's just an idiot in denial that always screws up 😂 and I think he suffered enough for it.

It's the typical husband chasing his wife, but I liked it a lot, ML was in denial phase since he had the idea that an alpha can't be with a beta and rejects the feelings that are being born,... more>> and sees marriage as a business. MC knew that couldn't hold on to a one-sided love and chose to walk away, I liked that he's not the typical white lotus that seeks love until death.

I suffered a little (together with ML), but I also enjoyed it, recommended for everyone looking for a crematorium.

I finished reading it in MTL because I couldn't handle the intrigue anymore and I loved the development at the end. Beta remains Beta until the end and ML loves MC for being him.I would have liked a little more depth to the story but for a short story it was fine. <<less

Emotional aspect? A chef's kiss. Stories that can not only snatch tears from you but have your heart hanging in your chest are rare.

We have an emotionally vacant ML who is the victim of his family's teachings, and an MC who gave out all his heart until there was nothing left to give. It's a crematorium that I find surprisingly acceptable, mostly because the ML isn't an inherently bad man, and he repented for his actions. I was really wincing for him yet relishing in his agony... more>> (I'm sorry, but this is how crematoriums should be, and the 177 s*um gang deserves so much worse).

A symbolism that stands out to me from this short story is its representation of love: it's a plant that will try to thrive with the limited resources it will have, but a lack of water will wilt it until its leaves are brittle and roots are dying. But if you recognize the neglect fast enough—and appreciate the beauty it holds to you—you can revive it with tons of love and care. Because plants (and love) are quite resilient.

I love the MC in standing so strong, and being so realistic in having trust issues with the ML's love. ML has to fight for it, just like the MC did for two years, and I really adore both characters—dimensional characters well written out in a subtle way where you can't help but root for them.

I also think it's a wonderful touch that the things the MC did while waiting for the ML weren't really elaborated on until very later in the story, it really represents how the ML never fully processed the roots the MC had grown in his life, and the more he becomes cognizant, the more we learn about the MC's actions and the ML trying to give 200% back.

Once again, I love that the ML became so obsessed with watering the plant the MC once took care of. So many small things in the story that just made it really impactful.

Translation was good and no confusing her/him mistakes (sorry I hate seeing those in translated novels. Might as well just read mtl version since it won't make a difference)

For a short story with less than 30 chapters, it feels complete. You can feel that the author put a lot of thought into it, making the MC and ML more human like.

Short stories have never been my cup of tea. They suffer from being too shallow; not enough depth.

But I've changed my mind with this author. Have now read three of their works and am hooked. From 5 chapters to 28, the author is able to invoke a complete story. They're not perfect and they sometimes follow the usual tropes - but when I'm down and just need a quick pick-me-up, they're perfect for me.

ML is honestly quite sweet, and clueless with his obsession about data analysis. I can sadly empathize. With all the chaos is the world, you hold onto what you know. And what he knows is cost-benefit analysis. It’s like when all you have is a hammer then everything looks like a nail, even if it’s a screw. ML is learning his emotions. ML was raised in an extremely prejudiced household, and his parents s**ked. Y'all they're so terrible.

Both MC and ML go through a lot of pain, but they do get their happy ending. ML makes the most sacrifices, I won't spoil but it's rare to see an Alpha character be treated this way.

They love each other very much! It'll be okay!

The Chasing that I wanted.

I won't condone the Alpha's bad deed, but his not aware, it's just the usual ALPHA's HOUSEHOLD to instill to their superior child that he had to choose the best, for gains and losses, this results for his as*hole attitude but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt: HE CHASED THE OMEGA AWAY!, even in his susceptible period he choose to go on rampant than to accept that omega also he paid for it physically and emotionally.

Poetic writing!!! Just the right amount of angst and a good wife chasing story. Honestly for a short story, they wrapped it up cleanly. But it makes you crave for a longer crematorium story lol so I am off to find something to fester in this brewing negative emotions from this book ~^.^~

I told myself I would only read one chapter but then I ended up completing the whole thing in one sitting haha.

The wife chasing crematorium was insanely satisfying, I'm so glad that Shen Luo didn't immediately forgive Ming Shao - just because Ming Shao suffered a lot doesn't automatically undo all the hurt he caused for Shen Luo, whether intentional or not.

I'm genuinely surprised at how fleshed out the characters were for such a short story. Recommended.

Hmm..... it was ok. With stories this short any necessary character development needs to be done extremely well otherwise it just give the reader whiplash.

Although the author stated xyz amount of time has passed, the should've shown that the personality of the ML began to change there but instead waited for the catalyst which didn't evoke the emotions expected for a scene like that.

Wouldn't mind this story and characters fully fleshed out.

This is actually a good story, was looking thru knoxt to find the next adventure and stumbled upon this short story. The story was well writen, good paced altho it was short, andd it’s less cute as in the tag but more bittersweet!!But this is is really a good short read, quite realistic and teary (not in a so bad way)

Start off sad and bitter, followed heart-wrenching crematorium and ending with a bittersweet reunion with sprinkles of sugar as the ML learnt to break through the mold his parents forced him into once the MC decided to give both himself and the ML a reality check by asking for divorce.

It's short and bittersweet with a HE, the journey there is filled with tears though...T^T

I salute the ML for his perseverance to chase after MC respectfully and his earnest effort to change for the better.
