I really dislike how differently LN and QYZ treat their son.... first they call him ugly compared to their daughter (HE WAS LITERALLY BORN PREMATURELY AND WAS A 6 MONTH OLD FETUS NO sh*t HE LOOKS A LIL WEIRD), they are so distracted by their daughter that they only visited their son in an incubator on weekends, and they were actually worried about their son having ADHD and thinking it was a bad thing because he would kick a lot?? As a person with ADHD, this pissed me off a lot. LN even thinks of beating his newborn son because his crying irritated their daughter?? And only doesn't because the infant was too young??? I think this attitude might be because their son is an alpha male and for some reason the author seems to prefer daughters over sons a lot in theor novels... anyway, the way they treat their baby son irritated me so much that I even hesitated in rating this novel highly. It completely ruined the novel for me. I honestly reminded me of another danmei where there were 2 fraternal twins and the daughter was super spoiled by her family while her twin brother was despised and looked down on, thus making him into a villain. I always hate when authors make parents play favorites with their children, and it's clear that the author doesn't know what a healthy parent-child relationship looks like.

I was expecting sweetness, a warm and soft novel. The sugar was actually salt.

I hate that kind of manipulation and more the "I'm going to make you love me, but I won't show at any time that I like you" personality.

Making another person struggle with his thoughts, thinking he himself is doing something wrong is repulsive.

If I were to put myself in their shoes I would question myself to what extent my feelings were real, I just couldn't trust what I think of that person.

I was confuse why the mc's family was okay with the marriage eventhough it seem like majority knows it was a scam. Knowing that MC orchestrated everything and they helped to fool ML dampened the whole mood.

LN admitting to QYZ that he had somewhat manipulated him into the marriage. At least there was no secret afterwards. And he accepted it.

Everyone admits he's at the best developing stage of his career that's just taking off. But right after discovering his feelings, suddenly he's a hot mess. From taking long breaks to going into random shows for the sake of being with LN. It's like he turned foolish. I mean, I'm not faulting him for his silly in love mood but it's a bit ridiculous considering he is not a young teen and he's setting was of a cool mature adult before all this happened.

He leads Qin Yize into marriage with him using the pressure of the Royal family. This is probably why everyone felt Luo Ning was so horrible, and if everyone else's actions are taken out of the context, then it is really horrible. However, people fail to realize that at every step Qin Yize was given the choice to refuse. He was told who Luo Ning was before he was asked about going forward. He was asked if he would go along with the act at the beginning. He was asked if he wanted to meet the family. He was asked if he wanted to delay the marriage. He was asked if he was willing to let Luo Ning meet his parents. He was asked if he wanted to go forward with the marriage, twice. Once when it was first proposed by both families and again just before the marriage. Not once did Qin Yize stop this process. As a matter of fact, during the big reveal of the twist we're told that Luo Ning doesn't want Qin Yize to feel like he was pressured into the relationship (not the marriage agreement, he definitely wanted him pressured into the marriage agreement) by the royal family. I think if Qin Yize had refused at any point Luo Ning would have backed down. Were his methods a bit sneaky and underhanded? Sure! Did he have bad intentions and actually do something truly malicious? No.

Luo Ning used physical intimacy to influence Qin Yize and get him to like him. Yup, he did. Did he overstep and do anything against Qin Yize's will? Nope. Qin Yize could have pushed Luo Ning away at any point, but he never did. Not once did he openly express disgust with Luo Ning's actions and eventually he even tacitly allowed it. Luo Ning even gives Qin Yize the option to keep him away, volunteering to sleep on the couch. It was Qin Yize's choice to continue allowing the physical intimacy at every step. There are plenty of relationships that start because one party used closer physical intimacy to encourage feelings. Luo Ning was a bit underhanded (again) in the way that he did it, but it was never done without consent.
