Super cute. But I have to say that the MC is really a blank sheet of paper so if you enjoy reading badass and cunning MCs then maybe this is not really for you. Also, there are some reviews that mentioned that the MLs actions are like g*ooming. I don't disagree but at the same time, I can totally understand why he behaved in that manner after he returned to the past. Anyways he really does love and dote on the MC alot so im okay with it.

Very sticky sweet cute story.

I thought there would be a little more drama after rebirth, but everything goes smoothly for the MC, who is too clever and scheming. Read this story if you're looking for unending fluff!

Big age gap between the main leads, and the ML is just a bit too different from his OG personality shown in the beginning. There's no cold aloof character here, just a super squishy innocent teen. I wish he was able to parry back a bit more compared to the MC, but MC pretty... more>> much dominates their interactions.

But the relationship was portrayed pretty well. I just wish there was a bit more layers behind the fluff.

It's not too great but it was good... There are ofcourse rare pieces which have no room for improvement.. But I still like this one.

I like that most of the time ML choose to be rational. Because if one see perspective of real-life occurrence they may try to to secure person as much as possible might choose irrational way of doing things.

I like the approach and it was good one. We all know it's not eady to create masterpiece and it's not important either.

The novel itself was less than average.

The author made it a point to give Ye Ci a pitiful background and the ML a stellar one but the entire novel was just a prolonged foreplay. The author did spare half a chapter to give Ye Ci's family the retribution they deserved but before and after that, it was all about the ML's efforts to get under his pants and Ye Ci acting pretentious, cowardly, pushover, and spoiled.

What irked me the most was Ye Ci's misplaced sense of responsibility. During the earlier... more>> chapter, someone tried to seriously harm him while racing. He fought back but then refused to take the other party's money after winning the bet because he wants to pay for the attacker's medical bill (I was like, what the freak!!. I thought you desperately need to save money). That incident showed his lack of planning and critical thinking ability. No wonder he ended up getting screwed up by his scummy father in his previous life. He's all brute force without brain and the ML had to step in EVERY single time to save his ass (which his father sold to the ML quite straightforwardly).

The translator was great though but definitely not the story. <<less

3.5/5 but gonna put 4* because I don't think it deserves 3*. It's not bad and also not great. It's just not my cup of tea and some might like this. Hence, the rating.

Before anything else, lemme just say that I don't love the gong. I know his actions are coming from a loving place and good intentions but his thoughts are just icky sometimes. He screams possesive, manipulative, and maybe g*ooming. The age gap doesn't even covers it. I know there was a stated 12 years age gap... more>> but this man went back to the past so there might be a greater age mentality gap. Yet, this grown-ass man kept going on and on about how young, beautiful, and fresh the shou is compared to the man (shou) he married on his first timeline lyk ghorl? Get a grip. It doesn't even help that he's thinking of boinking him every chance he gets, even on the first day the shou moved in!! I know he restrains himself but the way he acts somewhat manipulative to the shou and creating chances to "tease" the shou? Girly, it's good that he knows that he's a pe*verted b*tch.

The first chapters, imho, is good but as the story progress it just fell flat. I prefer the attitude of the shou before the reincarnation happened and I thought that was what I was gonna experience reading this. Actually the first few chapters before he met the gong and he did some racing hooked me. Idk what happened that he changed so fast into a naive and timid child. The story said that he grew up fighting and building that cold ass persona because he neeeds to protect his mom and all but what happened?? He had that internal struggle of not accepting becoming an omega and having to come to terms that he's an omega but it wasn't written as convincing. I said this because, even the first moment he had with the gong, immediately timid and naive. He was just made with clashing personalities, I guess.

Actually, while reading the story, it's kinda hard to picture the shou as an adult coz he doesn't act like an adult or 18 for the matter. Maybe on the first fews but when during the duration he is with the gong?? A literal child. It doesn't help that the gong describes him as pure and young. Idk if its because of how the author wrote the stutterings or just how he acted that made him appear younger than he is.

I'm kinda disappointed that the racing aspect which was vital to the old shou's character was removed in this timeline just because. I guess it's because he doesn't need to have that outlet anymore since he doesn't need to vent anything which is for the best buuttt he seemed so cool during those times!

Anyways, this was a light read that doesn't really offer anything but fluffs and some 'teasings'. It wasn't a slow burn which I wished it was. I personally think it progressed so fast, it already became boring for me by the 30+ chapters.

I didn't read the extras so I don't know if it offers some fun tidbits. BUT! I'm just gonna say that the last chapter with the shou going to school away from the gong where he showed his strengths that he possessed as an ex-alpha?? Love that for him! <<less

The story is good, it is rare to find an alpah as gentle and understanding as Huo Tinglan who can even hold her own. For an omegavers world setting this is a very good story.

Although it is a bit lacking in the part of what if Ye Chi also remembers the past life, but I think with an ending like this it is also good, YC will not feel a bit of the previous life.

Huo Tinglan is the best ML for now, he is possessive but still buys free space... more>> for her partner, much needed as a role model for other danmei ML stories. <<less

I honestly expected a little bit more but it's just like those age gap stories where the younger shou is borderline infantilized. The characters here though have a little bit more personality but that's about it. The plot is just so-so. Nothing significant truly happens. The writing was interesting in the beginning but the quality deteriorated as the story progressed. Even important events were glossed over with chunks of text. It seems like the author was keen on ending it as soon as possible.

This series was cute and fluffy. Hou Tinglan was a devoted and doting lover to his husband. You can also see the development in Ye Ci and how he slowly accepts the love of his husband, learning that he can also give love despite of all the things happened in the past.
