Shu Yu transmigrated into a book and became a cannon fodder character who was doomed to be killed. She only appeared twice before being banished thousands of miles away. After realizing that she couldn’t change the outcome, Shu Yu decided to live a life of indulgence and idleness.

However, before she could be banished, she was suddenly informed that she was not the daughter of the Shu family. Her biological parents were poor farmers who struggled to make ends meet and even had a leaky house. The Shu family decided to get rid of her to conceal this blemish.

Shu Yu declared, “Come at me, I won’t let you kill me.”

Returning to her biological parents, Shu Yu sighed as she saw the dish of pickles and bowl of porridge placed in front of her, along with her parents’ nervous and helpless expressions. She couldn’t live an idle life anymore, or else she would starve to death.

Started out well enough but gradually fell off: Had the usual tropes of dog blood drama, cat chasing rats and vice versa, and also forced romance which made me drop it later on.

Spoiler

MC despite being depicted as smart and strong keeps on making novice mistakes and letting the bad guys escape with a slap of the wrist, especially the main antagonists like the Shu Family. This of course results on more dog blood drama later on.

Then as mentioned above, MC and ML suddenly become intimate and somehow formed an unspoken romantic relationship than quickly escalated within three times it was mentioned, from pretending to be a couple (Which was forced by the ML), to suddenly talking about becoming a real couple when MC was asked by her Grandma, to now then openly talking about engagement and marriage. Fairly certain it was just mainly business and friendship beforehand but abruptly, they are now a pair of lovebirds.

It's probably still too early to give this 5 stars considering I'm not even halfway yet (2460 chapters... Bruh seriously) but I find the story enjoyable so far. I usually avoid stories with chapters more than 4 digits lol but I want to give this one a chance, that's just how much I like it.

From what I've read so far this story is focused more on how MC returned to her biological family who became poor because of their endeavor to search for their lost daughter and her effort on... more>> making money for herself and her family.

Spoiler

My impression of MC is she's somewhat of an indifferent type, but definitely not unfeeling. I still had no idea what exactly she did in the past life cause the author kept it vague, but she's a very capable aide to some kind of boss (the mafia probably) so she definitely has both brain and brawn. She only worked with the boss because she wanted to avenge the death of her parents. As she grew up alone in her past life, she didn't really care about family and that's why at first she didn't intend to look for her biological parents. After some series of events she ended up going to her biological family's home and she chose to stay in the end because her family's love for their lost daughter moved her

[collapse]

I really love her family because they aren't like those typical greedy, vicious family you often found in similar novels. If you wanna know more about her wholesome family

Spoiler

Her father is not the abusive type father who scorns daughters, overindulge sons etc. you get my idea. He loves his children and is willing to spend his money to find MC at the expense of their livelihood and even go to places where he heard clues of MC's whereabouts.

Her mother belongs to the typical timid, a bit idiotic mothers though, but just like her husband she loves her children too so although she has her own shortcomings she got an okay in my books.

And as for the granny, I'm very impressed by her because for once she's a grandma who doesn't deride her son's decision to look for his daughter (most of the grannies in these stories 9/10 would do it) and even shows some support for him. She doesn't really like MC's mother because of her family (MC's maternal grandmother f*cking sold her own granddaughter and later in the story tried to sell MC's younger siblings) but she doesn't mistreat her either. One hilarious grandmother-granddaughter bonding moment is when they talk about MC's elder sister who has been married off to someone from the neighboring village for a few years but still not pregnant yet. The grandma felt bad about this (you know these people think how women are to blame when they aren't pregnant after a long time) but then MC explains that it might also be the husband's fault. Grandma is successfully "brainwashed" lmao

MC's younger siblings are twins, the typical bullied siblings where the sister is the timid one and the brother tries to act mature. Idc tho I still love them regardless they're so cute. As for MC's elder sister I still don't know much cause she hasn't made any appearance yet, but she's by no means the jealous sister or anything. And while most of her closest family are on her side, there are definitely the greedy or scheming ones like her MC's maternal family, the youngest uncle's family (who's gluttonous af but at this point they are like MC's lackeys lmao), and (possibly) her eldest uncle's wife

[collapse]

This is just a speculation but the story probably would delve deeper into the political (or anything that requires scheming) side later because of (candidate) ML's circumstances, but for now I'll enjoy the story first while it's still full of fluff. The translation is readable although it feels like MTL but more polished? Whatever the case I'm grateful for it cause it's still effort spent. The names are quite confusing tho a bit manageable if you know some chinese. <<less

What I feel about this novel is confusing.

Should I continue or not is a question.

Seriously 2460 chapter when 144 chapter is feels so fast and short for its chapter but truthfully I dunno if it is good or not to continue until 2000+ chapter.

... more>> The title says full level boss but I dunno what is her advantage except that she is quite strong which is weird how she got to that level considering only reincarnate for 2 year?

After all abilities and physique are two different thing, but how she train her physique never really explained.

Her other skill? Dunno. She know some scar removal recipe but no medical skill to be a doctor.

Know design (advantage of modern person) but no skill to sew or embroider so only as a girl?

Can cook but not thinking of just making a restaurant or kiosk that sell modern food.

Continuosly saying that she will be exiled, but the question is why? If she was not a real shu girl so why she was included in the exile while she was mu*dered when the fact was known. Did the government will try to find her and how did they find her. I seriously don't understand this part.

So wonder which part is the full level boss is. Especially when in her past life it is more like a assistant of 'behind-the-scene' boss. <<less

Started out from reading the translated chapters to finishing it in MTL. I have to say, it's one of the best relaxed reading I had out of all the transmigration to historical time. There's face slapping, revenge, poor to rich, relationship, happy ever after, constant build up, unexpected villains, etc

Best part is that nothing too overboard or villains that never dies. I like how there's always a new villain instead of the same evil villainess who never dies and becomes repetitive face slapping nonsense.

The plot was well written and didn't... more>> have the feeling of making dumb plots to make more chapters and never ending climax. After 2400 chapters, I still felt like there wasn't enough chapters and wanted more. Although it ended, I don't feel any frustration like reading other novels. It's probably the longest chapter novel I read without feeling bored halfway and reading something else before coming back.

I definitely recommend giving this a go! <<less

I dropped the novel because I think the author was trying to write something else and got it a little wrong...? It feels off, is what I'm saying.

To explain: the story is very slice of life at first. You have the MC that arrived into this world unexpectedly. MC appears very even tempered and quick on her feet at times, but petty at other times. She quickly adjusts and heads out to find her real family, especially after the family she grew up in were awful to her.

The story then... more>> goes on in the usual route of face slapping, arguing with village folk/extended family, reversal of fortune, and etc.

Spoiler

I found it upsetting at the whole bit when they were dealing with the oldest aunt's husband. It was very homophobic, in my opinion, despite the author adding a blurb about how MC isn't against a person being gay but lets give him a terrible end anyway because he used this other character as a beard. Like, of course, he was going to marry a woman despite being homosexual. This era is supposedly based in Ancient China, when Confucianism was rampant. And I know it is because a big part of his philosophy was filial piety. Having children was considered being filial, since it meant the son was continuing the bloodline. Being homos*xual was frown upon because it meant you weren't doing your duty to your parents by having children. It was only the rich that had more leeway in this area since they could keep a male lover. Anywho, the author goes all out on this man, having the MC exposing him to everyone, making him supposedly go insane and then having his eyes gouged out and tongue cut because he thought the ML was hot. Like wow, tell me you really dislike gay people without telling me you dislike gay people.

[collapse]

The other supposed bad people didn't get as much ab*se as this guy. The grandmother that supposedly sold her and tried to sell her twin sibling? Nope. She's fine. Her house is a mess, sure, but otherwise fine.

Then the author starts adding mystery to the story and that is where I think the story started becoming something else. You have the ML looking for the MC's "master, " who happens to know something about MC someone else. And this looming threat that she is going to be exiled that she keeps thinking about but it has yet to happen. She says she wants to make money to have ready, but all she has done is going off on little mini adventures. She opened a shop that sells ready wear dresses and she custom makes a look based off the woman's desired look. However, she was only in the shop for a day, opening day to be exact, and has never gone back. Instead, the one managing the store in her family and the one that does the make up someone else. What? Then why go through all that trouble?

Now, she's off doing some other random thing and looking but not looking for the ML who I still don't know what his purpose in this story is because he hasn't had much screen time. The writing is pretty good and the pacing is not bad either. It's just the content that made me drop this. I may come back to it at a later time. <<less

It is a really good story. There is not much up and down in the plot line, but it is concluded beautifully. Almost no plot hole

A bit of romance, bit of politic, but mainly the story is about family business.

The FL halo is pretty strong. As a result, there's not much drama or tension in the novel. The FL never suffers an unplanned loss and is constantly giving face slaps to all the villains left and right. So we get 2k+ chapters of more of less Slice of Life chapters of the FL making money and indirectly benefiting all those close around her.

However, any huge plot action scenes are mostly summed it in very small chapters.

The story started out well, but soon got a bit one-note the more you... more>> progressed. The fact that the FL transmigrated into a novel wasn't really a major novel plot device. The FL only knew about some simple details about the major plot points of the novel's protagonists and heroine. As for her own cannon fodder character, she didn't have much information. Because there's no way to change any of the original novel plot, she found a way to just work around it by mostly making money in an extremely short time period. For example, creating the first real glass mirror, instant noodles, Sunflower oil, cured sausages, and etc.

The ML is also very 2-dimensional. However, most of the story is focused on the FL so you don't see too much detail on him.

Overall, it's not something I want to re-read again. It's ok to pass the time, but it did get progressively harder to want to complete the novel because of the repetitive plot. <<less

Typical OP MC transmigrates into the body of an ab*sed girl and reverses her fortune. She does so with a lot of wit (and a bit of brawn). There's some mild hold your logic (the MC's life is pretty straight sailing when the story starts and she decides to take action), but it's a really good story. What's refreshing about this novel is that many of the villains in the story are one-and-done when they're dealt with. They don't come back in a significant way that'll affect the story, so... more>> many of the faceslaps are pretty refreshing since the enemies are smacked and they stay down! There is an ML, but there's no loss of IQ. They both maturely acknowledge their feelings, and decide they're together. There aren't a lot of romance-fueled scenes. ML's past is tragic, as per usual, but much of it is in the background with our MC affecting the outcome in a tangent-y way rather than casually get kidnapped by the enemy and used against the ML way. <<less

Very slice of life kind of story. Its very easy to read and per chapter is a bit short for me imo but its pacing is just right. There are times when you'll think its a filler but it ends up being brought back for as to become a reason in the plot.

I also noticed that the major plot points could be pointed out and I dont know if its me or its just how the author envisions it

Spoiler

There are a few major arcs in the story if I can remember

    • The excile to the south west
    • The black market in Changan (?) or the place where the ML's uncle and family lived / the main house of the escort agency
    • The black market in the south west

There are other plots in the story but I think the story really focuses on finding missing family, fixing families, marriages and face slapping for the satisfaction of the aggrieved party

Its a happily ever after ending really. I only wish theres more about the MC's master. The master felt like their only important role was to say yes to something the MC needed at one point in the story and when they were held hostage they just... Sit down and waited? I mean sure since they know whats going to happen??? They were the only character that I wished the author could have given more depth since they were the one that originally pushed the MC to the begining of the story. I just didnt find closure in this honestly.

[collapse]

The MC's presence in the novel wasnt much of an issue since she only knew about her family's excile. Everything else was her own wit but honestly I forgot she was transmigrated in a novel and it would have made more sense if she was transported in the past or another world (
Spoiler

she did exchange her soul to the original body and the other shuyu saved the MC's parents which prevented the MC's original tragedy

Quite a nice read. There’s no excessive/dragged-out drama and everything seems well thought out. Sometimes a bit flat, but it’s tagged as a slice-of-life after all, so no surprises there. I actually quite liked that about this, it’s really relaxing without being too boring.
