“Music, film, television, painting, calligraphy, sculpture, literature… Do you comprehend them all?”

“Just a bit,” I replied.

“So, you’re proficient in every one of them?”

“Well, more like proficient in a bit of everything,” I mused.

With a palette of talents at my fingertips, I set out to conquer the world through the diverse realms of art, aspiring to become the uncrowned king, admired by people from all walks of life.

I'm not here to talk about Full Time Artist, the novel is fine, only problem with it is excessive irrelevant talk of random people for no reason that adds nothing, it kinda reminds me of the commentating bystanders while a fight is happening between cultivators.

what I'm here to talk about is a short story called The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant (1884). So briefly, f*cking hot garbage, with a lesson of the price of vanity to me the actual lesson is the price of being a f*cking ret*rd, it turned... more>> the story upside down but in a bad way, absolute shitshow that should be forgotten by the times yet sadly this author actually found this rockturd from the dogpile and decided to showcase it in the novel as an instant classic ffs. Even worse, previous short stories shown by author were actually good while having similar twist endings. If you got no idea wtf I'm about, just read wikipedia article or imagine one of those novels where it starts out great but the author rushes the ending so hard it turns to shit, but basically the twist ending instead of making me feel like "oh nifty" or "damn what a twist" instead made me feel like "what a way to ruin a good story in one sentence". It's not even about how bad it is, the ending is fine for a random story, but to be lauded as a classic, especially in this fantasy world where art is very potent and is supposed to be superior to Earth's art, to call this dogturd a "classic" actually now that I think about it, kinda f*cks the novel as well, it makes me doubt the IQ of these characters and the novels world where this crap is considered as being great. <<less
