The romance in this novel is unbelievably beautiful. I had never read such a delicate and sophisticated relationship. It's all thanks to the author's carefulness and dedication to details.

The MCs is like two different sides of the spectrum, which affects their attitude towards love.

A high-ranking noble and a poor commoner

A master and a servant

A passionate young adult and a teenager with a rational, experienced soul

A person born in the ABO world and an otherworlder

An alpha and a beta

Spoiler

The only Royal Prince/Duke and the illegitimate child of the current Queen.

[collapse]

Their relationship is something that shouldn't exist, but it exists anyway. In fact, they faced even more mental struggles than most people could ever imagine. It's not a lie to say that they has defied and overcome fate.

Normally, with a plot like that, the novel would have been filled with angsts. However, the author wrote this with a gentle, subtle tone, with the main characters solving problems intelligently without dragging out unnecessary drama.

If you're looking for a light read, I think this novel could suit your taste. It might seems bland for those who love to read a lot of dramatic, tearjerking developments, though. <<less

This is a good read. The world-building is intriguing, particularly the unique coexistence of jewels, magic, and pheromones. It offers a refreshing take on the fantasy genre. The story realistically portrays the challenges of reincarnation/transmigration. It shows that being an adult on Earth doesn't guarantee survival in a new world. The MC must actively gather information, adapt, and make critical decisions to survive—something I truly like about this novel.

The interactions between the MC and the ML are beautifully developed and pure. The respect the ML shows for the MC is... more>> commendable; he never pressures him into doing anything against his will. Even when ML believes his actions are pushy, his intentions genuinely show his care and love for MC. In short, he's a total green flag!

The MC, while a bit of a coward (for his love with the ML) due to his past experiences, is relatable.

I rated this story 4 stars due to the following reasons:

Spoiler

The MC's transformation from Beta to Dominant Omega in the latter half. I would have preferred him to remain a Beta throughout the story, as the ML has chosen him due to his talent and fell in love with him since they were teenagers while knowing/believing he is a Beta. This would have reinforced the idea that anyone can be with their love one and success is achievable regardless of gender.

It seems this transformation was part of the author's plan from the beginning. The MC has this recurring dreams that started in the first part of the novel, which later revealed connected to his and ML's pheromones, indicating that the MC is an Omega from the beginning.

Overall, I recommend this story for those who want to read a fantasy, reincarnation, and omegaverse that does not include any r**e. <<less

4.5 stars.

This story was surprisingly good, the title really made me think it was some basic Gary Stu story. I’m glad I was proven wrong XD

I think the author did a great job with the story. It’s very realistic how the MC (and us as readers) are slowly introduced to the world. While I do think there are some things that could have been done better in world building e.g. Explaining the history of beta discrimination, the author did a good job of building an interesting world.

The story is... more>> mostly quite fast paced, and elements of romance, magic, gemstones and politics are well integrated into the plot. My favourite element of the story definitely has to be the slow burn romance. I loved the dynamic between the 2 leads, how they bantered together, supporting each other during hard times and working on business projects together as they fell in love. They really are the light in each other’s lives and they are soooo cute together! (And agreed with SwordDemigod, the ML is such a green flag.)

-0.5 stars because I do feel like characters other than the main leads are quite underdeveloped in the story. For example, I feel like the villains are very two dimensional and they were mostly in the background since they seldom interacted with the leads face to face. While I do think the story has flaws, it is very easy to ignore them because the pacing of the plot has me hyper focused on their romance.

Overall, this was a great romance to read, highly recommend! Thank you translator for the translation. <<less

I did very much enjoy the way the MC was written and the gradual character development. The world building was also interesting, with the important role of jewels and how magic and pheromones relate to that.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find much else particularly riveting. Despite the story starting off strong, the dialogue ends up falling flat, especially later on.

Further regarding MC and world building:
Spoiler

The fact that MC is a late manifesting Omega feels like a done-before cop out to not have to take a nuanced approach to the Beta discrimination. It would have been far more interesting and vindicating to have the MC remain a Beta and work towards a better future for Betas. In a similar vain to webnovels where the MC/ML recovers from a disability, instead of finding a way to navigate and better the in-story world. I just find it a shame that the answer to the MC’s struggle was to make him no longer be a Beta.

[collapse]

I do think this webnovel could be a good filler read if you enjoy european-royalty ambiance type settings, but I don’t think you need to go out of your way to give it a read.
