Rating: 5/5- Excellent, intriguing, witty and solidly written. A fantastic plot to follow from start to finish.

I really enjoyed reading this novel. It was brilliantly paced and each arc was very interesting. For the first time amnesia wasn’t treated as a single trigger resolves all issues, trope. It was realistic and well plot out.

I loved all the characters and the interactions and chemistry between them, along with the character growth and teamwork. Probably the best I’ve read in a long time.

The romance for me, was very subtle and as much... more>> as it did play a significant role in how the plot progressed, I felt that it didn’t really steal the show and ideally the showdown of man vs machine was the highlight of the novel.

It was a wonderful reading experience, beautifully written and translated. Highly recommend reading this. <<less

This is One of the Absolutely Most Amazing Fantastic Beautiful Precious Novel I have ever read in my Entire Life So Far!!!

It has Amazing Actions, Amazing Plot, and all the Main and Side/Supportive Characters is AMAZING!!!

Okay but was it mentioned how the people who is not in Army become Examinee? If it mentioned, I forgot!

But if not, seriously, how???

Like how they suddenly inside the system? Were they zapped by electricity and then taken by the System? Or were they already hospital patients? But that doesn't work for Yu Wen since we know he was healthy young adult/teen.

Seriously, how??? How far in the future they are to have that kind of technology to be able to took everyone even children to be an Examinee without warning???

Wow! Global University Entrance Examination certainly exceeded my expectations. I didn't expect to find anything as good or even remarkably close to The Earth is Online. And while The Earth is Online is the best, all time, this hits the spot for everything you like about it and plus some more dog food.

Global University Entrance Examination contians a series of exams each examinee must go through and pass, or they die. There are some rest stops, extra points, etc. The story isn't as focused on the exams itself as much... more>> as the MC and the ML and their story (or backstory) and the fight against the system. The translation is pretty good and the writing is amazing. I'm glad the translator was able to carry that over.

The story and the writing was beautiful. It hits all the emotional spots. <<less

I read this for 2 weeks but I was very impressed this binge-trip it’s was very funny at the beginning (really many good jokes) was pretty excting and very sad. The plot is really quality, I admire it because characters who you consider as a cannon fodder, everyone of them have connections and play a big role in the story. Honestly I expected that many of them just die or people will become cruel or inhumanly mu*derers. But all of them stayed kind and fair people. This novel is one of my favorites. Let me state my reasons:

1. Every arc is well written, especially the mind games since the system's questions were unreliable. The plot is also very cool!

2. Even though both MC and ML are OP, they weren't boring like lifting a finger then the problem is resolved, instead they make every scene exciting, thrilling and crazier.

3. Despite being an action/thriller story, it's comedy is gold. The funniest moments here when the couple was in their craziest. Since I like comedy very much and not... more>> only that, this also made me chuckle a lot, I'll give this a perfect score!

4. Side characters have enough screentime and they didn't feel like 'air'. Justice is served!

5. MC and ML's romance isn't fluffy but they were 'cute' and probably this couple is one of my favorite as well. I just love their interactions and teasing with each other.

However, since plot is a bit ambitious especially in regards to the setting and the system, there were some minor plot holes. The last couple of arcs wasn't really that descriptive like the earlier arcs which made me a little confused. But who cares? I am very satisfied with the ending.

I also want to commend the translation, it was very good!

No need to ask, I highly recommend this. <<less

Just 1 thought. This novel is frekin awesome. The horror, the actions, suspend, mystery, the comedy and the romance, are all fantastic. They’re alot of confusion at the start, (lol maybe I am a bad student, the subject exam makes me s*upid) but the whole novel simply so good. Later the the fluff is amazing romantic. The humour also very good. But the whole story and plot twist comes together so beautifully. I liked it a lot! The plot is interesting and intriguing. There were no boring or unnecessary chapters, and there were no obvious plot holes. The relationship between MC and ML is one of the best written among those novels I have read so far; as for me, their story was touching and romantic. The translation is really-really good! Thank you very much for your work, KK! Your translation made the story even better.

I started to know about this author from 'A certain someone' (also the author's work) & was totally captivated by the author's writing style!

And now, after reading this, this author has really become one of my favourite authors. The writing style is beautiful yet relaxed & so smooth. The humors are also worth the laughters. And most of all, I've always love the couple's banters in all of this author's novel.

Ehem. As for this story itself, the plot is definitely interesting. The examinations are thrilling but quite easy for reader... more>> to understand. There is angst in this story but it was mainly from the past of the main couple.

And for the couple, they're both one doesn't lose from the other in term of madness & mischieviousness. They're basically the genius troublemakers! And the romance between them, yes it is so deep & whole & touching (it similar vibe as HuaLian from TGCF) the MC is cold & always indifferent except you can see that ML is his ice-breaking point & his emotional fluctuation mainly due to ML (My God he really100x loves the ML) ML? Yes, every reader would love him, he is the troublemaker & also moodmaker (the sun that breakthrough MC icy-cold life)

Another thing I love about this story is that, in the examination, there is very little malicious killing between participants. Instead it's mainly focus on MC & his team solving the exam together (& at later part of the story, ganging up on the exam subject together LOL)

Great penmanship from the author and an interesting plot to boot. For those seeking a good thriller and mystery, I highly recommend this piece as the author is a master at setting up plot and foreshadowing. Both the main character and male lead made a quick debut as well and the development of their relationship and character was albeit slow-burnt, very alluring.

I much prefer romance that bubble up excitedly, but as both of the characters are highly stoic and in... more>> control over themselves, it takes a lot of the romantic tension and anticipation out of the equation and for me, those are the fun parts about reading a BL novel. In fact, the main character doesn't speak much and the interaction between the two is less than what would get my blood pumping. More than squealing on the edge of my seat for them to "kiss already", there's a sort of exhaustion in me waiting for what I know is to come and a sense of relief for when it finally does happen.

There is also a big question left unsolved for me after having went through all of it, which is

how the system manages to remotely "pull" people's consciousness into its examinations. I get that it has immeasurable power within the system itself but I don't understand how it has power in real life, when it's just a machine. For example, when it could remotely extract the consciousness of the two female doctors when they were at the professor's house, even though they were nowhere near the machine itself

Gorgeous, absolutely beautiful, if I could have the ability to, I would have all the words in this plastered on my ceiling.

The premise is so unique, and executed so beautifully, genuenly, it may just be the best work i've read.

The novel is funny, with unique and memorable background characters, and the characters are done so well it may as well be a recalling of something you witnessed with your eyes.

The characters all have their strengths and weaknesses, and are given their chances to shine, there is no one who is... more>> completely pathetic and made to just show how awesome the main characters are (which would be unnecessary, given they managed to surprise me with all the ways they outsmarted their challenges.)

I hope you all give this a try, and in case anyone is interested, it has a manhua adaptation too,

i have never felt like this about a danmei before. The fact that they fell in love no matter what just melts my heart. I really thought qqgk was just another boring loop novel until I read it. Now that after I read it I feel like qqgk is apart of me. I love their chemistry. Reading this was a whole new experience for me.

This book had a very compelling start but unfortunately wasn't really able to have good payoffs. It's an unlimited flow in structure, but one of the main draws of unlimited flows--the clever solutions to the setting's problems--was basically missing; I can't think of any memorable or clever answers for the scenarios. Solutions ranged from counting how many triangles there were on a piece of paper to somehow knowing a foreign language without any way to translate--if you didn't have an interpreter, hahaha enjoy death I guess. If you want to... more>> read an unlimited flow with clever puzzles, I don't think this is a good pick.

The settings of each instance weren't too bad though, the author paints very good mental pictures. The supporting characters were also wonderful and contributed a lot to the story; no one felt like a disposable piece of paper, even if they didn't get to live long.

As for the main characters of the romance, the ML is the classic teasing type, while the MC is the classic stoic type who can make cutting remarks. Their romance was actually rather disappointing to me; the amnesia trope was used, and throughout my reading I was waiting and waiting for their past together to be extensively expounded upon, with interactions that justified the depths of their love for one another. When it got to that point, however, it felt very rushed through and blasé. It was difficult to find their romance compelling--it felt told but not shown, without much buildup at all.

The buildup to the end and the end itself also felt quite rushed, with not enough buildup. Not enough buildup and not enough payoff are basically my main complaints for most elements of this story.

Overall this story was very creative, and the supporting characters were very charming! The last chapter also had very moving last paragraphs. <<less

ML - Qin Jiu or Invigilator 001 x MC You Huo - This is an infinite flow story where examinees must solve the question with in a certain time or they will not move forward. While I did 'see' the unexpressed understanding and enjoyed watching a power couple in the making, IMO using the amnesia trope/technique to build tension between the MC/ML is over done which then leads to bland writing. Overall a good read, not great.

I initially thought it only has a slow start so I persevered but I was already 2/3 in the story and still wasn't captivated.

The chemistry between leads are good but the games & plot are really meh imo. This is magnified because I just came from reading I Became A God In A Horror Game & Mist which I think has superior writing (characters & plot-wise). Even the games are better there.

Wanted to rate it as 1 but added another point for the MC & ML.

It's been a long time since I've reread this, but this is still one of my favorite novels. The MC and ML have insane chemistry, the side-characters are fleshed out, the worldbuilding is a mystery that slowly gets uncovered. Also I really liked comedy bits amidst the horror. I encourage everyone to give this novel a try!

This was the novel that led me to discover NovelUpdates! It's also my favorite infinite flow novel, the characters are great, the games are interesting, and I love the interactions between MC and ML. Really wish there was more extras, I really enjoyed this novel.

Global Examination is the first BL novel that I read. When I started I didn't really have high expectations, but it turns out it was really great.

It has the traits that I value in a novel: MC and ML are both self suficient, strong characters. They can think for themselves and at the same time they can rely on each other just as well.

The plot itself is very interesting, having a lot of interesting ideas and it really gives you as the reader the feeling of immersing into that world.
