Was quite good, takes a bit to pick up. The main couple makes me a bit soggy due to their perseverance. The side characters are all very fun too.

Best part of this novel in my opinion has got to be the the characters (and romance), not the infinite flow elements- it just falls a bit short compared to other infinite flow novels.

Would give a 4.5 rating. 4 for the story and.5 for Qin Jiu, the ML, who has completely and utterly stolen my heart and made me believe in comfort... more>> characters. <<less

Mu Su Li truly has outdone herself again, and this time, I've seen how much she improved with her writing. Now, she detailed each scene and expounded the world with new heights from last I've read her work.

I believe this is the first time I've never leaned onto one character as my favorite, but root for the pair You Huo (MC) and Qin Jiu (ML) as they embraced this journey with badassery, s*xual tension, and amnesia filled brain.

Honestly, I don't think I have any complaints with this novel, as every... more>> hole I could think of is filled with reason. There are funny moments, sad moments (although they are past quickly), and just, f*cking damn they did that moments. It was a GREAT novel, and I hope to continue to be immersed in this storytelling, even after the author wrote [THE END]. <<less

This has become my favourite online novel that I have read. It's so complex, but at the same time it ends up explaining everything. I absolutely recommend it.

Love this sm! I read this for like 2 weeks bcs I got busy w school and my own shits but I enjoyed the whole ride! I love all the plot twists and the ending is so satisfying!

I'M CRYINGGGGGGGGG 😭😭😭😭

It freaking hurts to see this end but at the same time it feels good especially when I read about Shu Xue and Zhao Wentu being alive and well!!!

I wish there was more side chapterssss. Like about You Huo and Qin Jiu's daily domestic lives, Gao Qi and the other girl (I forgot her name), Di Li and Yu Wen playing basketball, a mention of that couple in the Duke's mansion getting married, and moreeee. I wish this would have more chapters. 😭😭 I love this so much and... more>> will go now to read the manhua version of this. 💓 Ps. an interesting read I would say—definitely unique and complex. It was my first time reading this sort of genre for bl. The story moves kinda slow in the beginning, but it's worth it later on. The scenario's make up a lot of subplots, which for me were a bit hard to push through if I wasn't immediately interested in the premise.

I loved the MC and ML along with their witty interactions, which start long before their romance does.

The one word you cannot use to describe this novel is boring. At some point MC and ML did seem a little too perfect and their love story robotic. But It didn’t matter cause the story was that good. The translator is great and any mistakes just reminded me she is a person with a real life using her time and effort to allow us non Mandarin speakers to read this great story.

I've finished this novel a year ago and it was a amazing. It was my forth (?) danmei I've ever read, I found this after reading a few chapters of it's manhua. The plot was really good, the challenges (exams), characters were all really well written, as expected of Mu Su Li. Definitely recommended for new danmei readers! I don't remember where I've read it but it was well done. YouHuo is perfect. ^^

This novel is a thriller with little fluff/romance (in case you are looking for that). It was a great read, it kept you wanting to know what would happen next (there was always an element of danger and trying to unravel mystery of the relationship between the characters and their histories). The characters were all interesting (main and side), even though you don't get a lot of background info on them, you really get just what you need to know to understand the plot. The translation was wonderful and I definitely have to give credit there. I learned of this novel after seeing the manhua, and reading it helped clear up some questions I had there. I would absolutely recommend this novel. <<less

This was everything. I loved the characterisation in this novel. I also loved the way the women were displayed. No damsels here. Sometimes they needed help, sometimes they gave help but there weren't just there to weep and be scared. Love the main couple and how they overcame everything to be with each other.

This novel is so good. One of my favourites. I had been rereading it four times already. Although I had known the plot of the story, it never failed to make me felt excited and hilarious every time I read a certain scenes, especially the ones in 4th arc. Haha.

I admit at times this was a bit difficult to read (I have a habit of skim reading), but the story and the characters this novel has is impeccable. This is just such a great read with interesting scenarios and characters. There's so much that the author planted early on that had a great pay off later. Pay attention to the story and you might guess what would happen later. It's so satisfying having those moments. The characters are OP, but for me they make sense. Without them cheating... more>> the system (hehe), they couldn't get out anyways with the amount of seemingly impossible events they have to traverse through. It's also quite a slow burn and at times hard to slog through, but if you like a long, slow burn action-romance, then I recommend this a lot! <<less

i love this novel so much. musuli's way of writing is just- asjjsjsjs I can't describe it. the tension between main characters- qin jiu and you huo, is so thrilling, you will find yourself crawling, fighting, bleeding (why this sound like txt's song, I'm sorry;;) because they're so cool, cute, and compatible with each other !!!! I also love the whole mystery and action, especially historical arc. This is a great novel. I put it off for a long time because I didn't understand what the actual plot was, and when I first started reading it seemed very confusing and the translation seemed MTL-ish. Far from being a novel about actual university entrance examinations, this is more of a sci-fi thriller about combat technology and solving seemingly impossible challenges to survive. And, the translation is not bad at all and it gets better and better as the book goes on. My only complaint was that the author seemed uncomfortable writing any intimate scenes at all. There is no papapa and even simple kiss scenes were really glossed over like, "And then they kissed." No more detail. I can accept no papapa but at least the kiss scenes can be written with more tantalizing detail lol. So that was a bit disappointing, but this is still really good, the romance is so pure and develops really well and the plot is so exciting. <<less

A great action packed read. Very well defined side characters and overall world building. But of course, the best part is the main pair: both are extremely capable on their own and you never feel like any of them overpower the other in any shape or form without it being too on the nose, which is surprisingly rare to see in a romance themed book in general. ok tbh I speed read this in a daze so I don't totally remember everything but it was pretty good/acceptable. My only thing is that the scenarios they're dropped in, there are so many unfinished threads in the plot eg. What would happen if the MC did or didn't do something. Also ngl the ending was like a meh for me since it was pretty typical

This was a really interesting piece.

The examination system was quite quirky and interesting, seeing how different examinations unfolded was highly entertaining. There was a bit of a horror aspect but overall not too scary (at least compared to other things I have read). The exams really make one think outside the box though and it was great seeing how the main character managed to do that every time.

I think that the main couple in this novel is pretty great as well. I really liked their 1+1≠2, 1+1=∞ vibes. I think... more>> couples that are good as individuals--but then even stronger together/fill in each other's gaps/make up for each other's weaknesses--are ideal, and this couple was a great example of a couple like that. to be a bit boring since they are not charting any new or exciting territory, they are simply reverting to the past, this couple was an exception. I think that is because they are so daring and powerful together, it makes you want to see them together even more.

The end felt a bit confusing, many moving pieces. But to be fair, in my opinion there are very few novels that aren't like that. So overall fine. Writing and logic was well thought out. I recommend this as a read. If you like visual stories more, it also has a great webcomic version, that is very accurate to the story, and has beautiful illustrations. <<less

Honestly a pretty decent book !! It had some rough parts but towards the end, everything just came together. Whenever I think about these two, I fall into deep thought because of how much they went through. The plot was not the best IMO but it wasn't bad. I absolutely love their dynamic too !! It's so good I don't even know what else to say. The plot develops slowly so, it might seem kind of boring for some in the beginning but please don't drop it as you'll be missing an amazing book then. (I wasn't able to stop myself from binge reading it even when I was working and subsequently, even when I got ill 😂)

There is this system which was built with a positive motives and goals. But as the plot progressed, it's seen that the system is quite cruel at... more>> times with moments of naivety and emotions which is difficult to decipher. There are moments when today you are talking to someone and in the next moment that someone is dead because of the system. It's a really heartbreaking story too.

With the plot moving forward, secrets are revealed slowly. Some clues are dropped here and there.

The MC (You Huo) and ML (Invigilator 001 aka Qin Jiu) are too OP. The understanding, the talent, the love they have for each other is too much. Ah, don't even remind me about the cute but cheesy nicknames Qin Jiu has for You Huo like Big Invigilator (❤️), our top student, etcetera etcectra.

There are times when one will feel like crying, or have goosebumps, or like they are eating dog food, or so happy that you'll want to jump and laugh and clap. It's a story so meticulously written I have no words.

There are quite a few people I'll still be shipping together even if the story came to an end.

Like 154 and 922. Ah, don't even ask about them. This pair of Invigilators (?😉) is too great. Even in the end the first word 154 said is of 922. They are pair full of brains. Another is Di Li (Top student) and Yu Wen. They seem polar opposites but a perfect match for each other in the long run. They story of Shu Xie and Zhao Wentu really made me sad. So, even if Shu Xue later on forgot about the system, I hope this time they'll both have a happy ending.

it was a long ride but i’m finally done reading it after weeks lol and it was amazing!

plot: 5/5 the mystery is good, the exams don’t have repetitive themes and no badly written cliches from what I've seen. the overarching plot is interesting and doesn’t really have any plotholes. I enjoyed reading the story alongside the romance.

romance: 100000/100 super sweet and romantic. it’s slow burn of sorts but doesn’t completely fit its definition. the pain of it all..... my heart absolutely broke for our MC and ml. who did they... more>> offend in their previous lives to be separated for so long and so cruelly?? I love the chemistry between our MC and ml. ML is such a romantic and the MC and ML are so gentle. they deserve the absolute world. never f*cking separate these old men (not really old, MC is 28 and ML is 30) again or get a beating from me!!!

characters: also 5/5 there’s growth & development in unorthodox ways. it’s not the obvious and progressive type where you can see the MC and ML slowly changing, but you notice later on how different they were initially. I love how op MC and ML are but they’ll also fall into traps and do embarrassing things (ahem, I really laughed at the twins arc). the supporting characters also aren’t just mentioned and disposed of like cannon fodder! they have their very own colorful personalities and roles in our mc’s and ml’s lives. it’s so refreshing to see an ML who actually has an important story arc ish with a best friend and for a cold MC to have found family and not yearn for whoever abandoned him. I love it. I love it.

my review can’t hold a candle to the experience of reading this work. please give it a shot. the first two arcs may move a little slow and the memory loss may slow down the romance from completely trickling in but it’s all worth it in the end. if there’s anything i’d complain about, it’s that we don’t see how MC and ML are outside after all that chaos!!! give me domestic yh and qj!!! give me holding hands at an amusement park yh and qj!! give me this group of friends all hanging out together after everything!!

alas. I was sad about sx forgetting about everything. : (they were all great friends too. she and zhao wentu are so cute though. zw should have already been 20 by then, I assume so it’s kind of okay for them to be together. i’m just happy that they both get to live peacefully after all of that.
