As the title of the novel suggested, I dropped it because at some point, it became unreadable.

Like most of the novels of this type, the quality is pretty poor (I heard that other Global Lords are even worse). If you like to read infinite descriptions of loot and interesting combinations of talents - it's fun. The rest of the aspects are horrible. There are so many plotholes and inconsistencies that reading it with a working brain is really tiring. Throw that gray mass out of the window. It is a... more>> wish fulfillment novel, but the author has memory of goldfish, so A LOT of important stuff will be forgotten, including the most important stuff in this novel - loot. I can forgive everything else, but loot goblin inside me is crying miserably.

At least 1/3 of the novel is description of loot. Sadly, it is mostly exactly the same daily loot + some random stuff that will never be used (like those "super rare" consumables in games that you always hesitate to use and end up keeping till the very end because you forgot about them or they are no longer useful). He will also loot hundreds of thousands artifacts one time, but later say that he only has 10 000. Loot drop table is quite unclear. Enemies either somehow drop stuff that they were not supposed to drop or MC is too s*upid to exploit his own methods. There is also a lot of rare and interesting stuff at the beginning but nothing later on. Maybe author ran out of imagination. MC is s*upid, so to make him look clever everyone else is even more s*upid. He is never punished for very basic mistakes. The most advanced "tactic" on the battlefield is to hide underground to ambush or try to bypass the walls. War conflicts are just brainless brawls on a single battlefield.
Spoiler

The genius strategy during the war is to build super strong wall in preparation for the siege, prepare bows and ammunition, but abandon said wall for no reason and go fight melee in open field during the siege itself. The role of the general-tactitian is to rush into enemy army headfirst obviously. No surprise, everyone died heroically (pathetically), but hey, that "Resurrection" tag is here for a reason.

[collapse]

Time flow in the novel is extremely inconsistent. Other characters during one day can only eat, drink, kill a couple of monsters and sleep. MC during one day will assemble the army, march by foot across half of the continent, conquer a couple of cities, sort out all loot and march back. And he still has some time to rest, train, and plan for the future. Since they all are supposed to start at the same point, the difference in progress is imaginable. It's absurd when MC laments that his subordinates "were with him for a long time and made countless contributions", when it was like 1-2 days or so. 600 of chapters won't even cover a month of time.

Talent classification is a scam. The most common talent can be utterly broken, while ultimate mystical talent is almost completely useless without MC's plot armor.

Side characters are treated as NPC. That is, under the influence of the system, they don't have independent thinking ability. As long as they are considered MC's subordinates, they are automatically brainwashed to be loyal. He conquered the country?Brainwash every single person in the country. So the only character development you can talk about is going from admiration to blind worship. Even if someone tried to kill him a second ago, the next second, he will become his loyal follower. It's fun if you don't think deeply, but creepy and absurd otherwise. All in all, everyone but MC are treated as game units instead of living creatures.

Spoiler

The most outrageous part is that he can also brainwash parr of the enemy forces during the battle, and they will automatically join his camp under the influence of two talents with no chance to ever rebel

[collapse]

Important characters will only be mentioned occasionally in 100-200 chapters, while the rest will be totally forgotten after their first appearance. The progress is snowballing extremely fast, so his old subordinates have no way to keep up and become outdated in a couple of days. Same with various "precious" loot and side-plots. The author will emphasize that this stuff is important and then forget about it altogether.

Romance is super abrupt and forced. They met twice to talk about politics as representatives of their factions, and then TADA-AM they apparently love each other? Why? When? How? I have no idea. FL is purely decoration and bed warmer with no sense of presence. It also has signs of extremely poorly written harem.

Everything in this world works for MC's convenience. It is not that noticeable at the beginning, but with time, it becomes more and more outrageous and intolerable.
Spoiler

For example, everyone here dies with intact corpse so that MC can resurrect them cheaper. Mass magic? Dragon breath? Space collapse? Nah, in the 600 chapters or so, there is only one person who died with damaged heart/brain.

[collapse]

Be prepared for standart gigantomania. Creatures several km tall are everywhere (living in normal human cities, yeah), distance in millions and billions of km, random passersby traveling almost at the speed of light. They will create a barrier 50.000km in diameter and then somehow retreat 100 million km while staying inside. All in all, most of the time author just writes numbers at random, so your common sense will explode.

And there are many many more problems, big and small. At some point, you will stop caring, I guess. The only good aspect of the novel is the loot (for greedy people like me who just like to collect stuff). The rest is hard to describe. <<less

This was an ok series. The set-up is the typical MC gets dropped in a new world and becomes a lord with a very small territory, has to conquer the nearby territories and kingdoms to upgrade himself and his territory slowly. Here, MC has a golden finger/talent that gives him and his subordinates 2x the loot when killing any enemies. He pretty much becomes the loot king using that, getting a lot of resources and quickly become relatively OP.

It was actually pretty decent back then since MC slowly kept upgrading... more>> his various talents and even upgrades his already OP talent of Loot King. Also, he did not get isekaid into this world alone, but almost all adults from Earth get transferred and become lords of their own small territories with random talents, some strong and some weak, and have to conquer territories to become strong as well. Everything is done by the Supreme Will aka the strongest guy / owner of the universe who is looking for a successor among the newly invited lords. He conducts events, first among the new lords from Earth, and later among all the lords on the planet with great rewards to get the strongest lord who'll become a nominee for his successor.

The battles aren't anything interesting and they're mainly about who has the bigger army. MC has to fight against stronger lords with armies 10x bigger than his own and he wins by the higher quality of his soldiers and by participating in battles himself and defeating the opponent lord. MC's army grows by 100% every day (would be a logistic nightmare irl) and he has trillions of citizens in his kingdom by ~ch 800 and they quickly grow to incomprehensible numbers by ~ch 1200.

Ignoring all of that, his talents also start getting used less and less and he almost never uses the skills he unlocked from those talents besides the passive buffs to his army and kingdom that are mentioned only once when he unlocks them (pretty sure author doesn't remember them either). All of the high-level weapons and artificats he collected also become useless once he reaches the Supreme God level (which isn't even that strong in hindsight) and he only relies on his most OP skills and techniques which are his lord skills to one-hit all his enemies. This removes any/all suspense from the battles and it just becomes a contest to see how quickly he can conquer and take over the opponent's territory to get the materials for the upgrade of his own kingdom.

The last 2 chapters (4 if you read on WN) are a rushed ending of the series with a lot of easily-resolvable plot points.

Spoiler

Personally, I wanted to see MC go back to his girlfriend from Earth and let her see that he has become the strongest in the universe now, especially since he promised her that he'll return and take her away once the situation is more stable and he becomes stronger in one of the chapters a while back. Again, in hindsight, MC's gf from before he got transported by the Supreme Will was probably a stand-in for author's girlfriend IRL. It is likely the author is getting married soon which might be a reasonable explanation for the rushed ending as well.

[collapse]

Anyway, given all that, even though I read the series regularly, I can't recommend anyone to get started on this now... <<less

edit: just noticed the other review does a way better job in describing this garbage novel so read that instead

honestly pretty terrible novel but an alright time waster. MC has 100% drop rate per the title and 90% of the novel is just a big list of loot that doesn't even matter at the end. The problem is that it's just all bs numbers so it's hard to care about anything since it's meaningless anyway. The author has a problem with constantly introducing new characters and ideas but has 0... more>> idea on how to flesh it out, given they don't forget about it in the next couple chapters. Soo many characters introduced but it doesn't matter since they're not important, and even important characters are ignored until the author conveniently remembers them.

The MC is honestly not likeable and is like a caricature of what a bad person thinks a good/kind person would act like. He's a selective a-hole to random people (men) but will do anything do help some women he met a couple hours ago for no good reason. Another big problem I have is the length of the days in the novel, im almost 400ch in and only 2 weeks has passed in the novel, honestly doesn't make much sense especially how the characters act like they've known each other for years when it's been a couple days. Like the MC would be like "oh this person had loyally served me since the beginning and has always been there for me" and they met actually 2 days ago but 60ch in the novel. I'm not sure if it's the translation but in recent chapters i've noticed the characters being like "oh blah blah helped us out in the early years" or "this character has served our lord for a long time" like IT'S BEEN 2 WEEKS NO THEY HAVEN'T. Originally rated this a 3 since it was readable enough to get to ch390 but after writing this i've realized it's really just tr*sh tr*sh, but im a masochistic tr*sh connoisseur so i'll try to finish it. <<less
