MC is really insecure and just drifts through life without finding his purpose and a very easily shaken identity. He finds out he is a good assistant and it's the first job that gives him a sense of self. He didn't think any of his skills were worth much and he clings to ML since important things related to his own identity start happening after being around him. For example, when he composed the two themes, he finds out he actually has it in him, but couldn't do it unless it was for someone else's sake. It sounds flawed and gutless but it is not unrealistic and it is not that he doesn't have any character development or that he's a looser for not finding his own way by himself. It's a different kind of character but I like that. MC had a hard time by himself. Maybe because of lack of self-esteem and hence, confidence, but it gives him a small sense of seeing the light.

Regarding the relationship between MC and ML, at least after getting together they have a harmonious relationship and ML tsundere nature really mellows. They were good for each other.

The MC is a person who has lost all hope for his life but still dreams of making it big. He tries to commit su*cide after his girlfriend dumps him for being unsuccessful and that's in the first chapter. He dreams of making it big but he's unwilling to put in the determination to achieve his dreams of being successful. He's been crushed by his ambitions and failures that he's happy being mediocre and existing which makes ML angry because he sees the wasted potential in the MC. To a certain extent, I can understand why MC has his current passive personality but that does not mean I like it. Also, he's a horrible employee because he's stealing from his boss (ML), ML orders things off Taobao and MC just orders his share of it or secretly uses the things ML bought with his money which is stealing. If a person has not explicitly given the item to you it's not yours. MC is also reluctant to leave the ML's side to pursue success after his friend Duma gives him a chance which is like why are you so clingy? Go and be successful and then you can repay the kindness that the ML has given you. MC's timidity after failure and about leaving his comfort zone makes me so mad.

ML has anger issues I think, he turns violent at a drop of a hat when he gets angry. I can relate to a certain extent because I also get very violent internally, I'm not as rich as ML to be able to afford to break items. But I am kind of glad to see that he does realize his anger is misdirected at times and knows when to apologize when necessary. I kind of admire his ambition and drive to be what he wants to be and be successful at it. To be honest I feel like ML is too good for MC honestly but that's just my opinion.

I liked that they really took their time to get together, they were just in a boss-subordinate relationship first, moving to being more like friends, and still being friends even when they already started realising their own feelings, and only closer to the end they opened up to each other completely and became lovers.

The ML's characters is difficult to like (he is arrogant and have anger issues), but MC is also right saying that despite that he is really good to those who are good to him. ML with his rough personality and MC who is goofy and kind (but also kinda very passive with his life due to all the previous failures but that changes a bit later when he works very hard to help ML) are probably a perfect match to each other (each to their own, as they say). Also once they got together MC notices that ML starts treating him better, sharing house work etc. Before they were just an employee and an employer and MC was in subservient position (which did not prevent him from taking advantage of MC, e.g. When the latter was binge shopping online, then MC would just use the ordered discarded items without permission) and when they started their relationship they moved to an equal footing.

Their intimate life also seemed to be harmonious, ML even proposed to switch in the beginning, though it was never mentioned again later, it did not seem as if he was forcing himself on MC, he respected MC desires (like having s*x only 3 times per week), and you can see that most of time MC is really the one who cannot bear the temptations and moves at the slightest provocation.

in one event when the MC got autograph from his fav actor and ML just threw it away. It's rude and I don't think it's the bit least funny or cute...

I also think his anger is too explosive that at some point he was violent with MC granted MC is also maybe at fault to some, but for me MC is just doing his work.

I'm glad that MC is patient with ML despite how overbearing ML could be. I don't get how ML could be considered kind etc when it was basic thing to not be using someone else as punching bag just cause you pay them.

Admittedly, he tried to give motivation for MC, which is nice and all.
