Golden Stage is one of a kind. Definitely the most fluffy novel I’ve read so far.

The enemies to lovers troupe is so good, plus the arranged marriage.

Yan Xiaohan getting jealous is peak comedy, also the way Fu Shen just teases Yan Xiaohan.

The political aspects are not difficult to understand, if you read it with the character guide.

As much as I am not very interested in politics stuffs... This Novek bring them out well n balance with the main couple story. They have their sweet tender moment, humors adn laughable moment, a bit sad but I do not find angst or maybe the angst level is light for me.

Over all this novel is great, I can read them with slow pace n enjoy the story n the poem stuffs. Kudos to Chichi for translating this very well. I also love to read the author end note hahahaha.

I love MC & ML!! Both are strong & loyal, also very sweet to each other. There's a lot of political stuff that I just skim, I don't understand those stuff, not interested either. I don't know if it's because my English is sub-par or it is getting lost in translations, I feel like a lot of nuances is just flew over my head. I would reread this for MC & ML interaction though LoL.

Strong story, but quite complex, so not sure I fully understood some of the things happening. I loved when other characters were surprised seeing how the two were interacting (completely different from expectation). Would have liked a bit more of that :)

First of all I want to say thank you so much to the translators for their hard work in translating this wonderful novel.

From the story and the characters are great.... The main couple is great, too.... The story is a combination of drama and political....

Great overall story to read and we can learn a bit about historical, too....

Sweet lovely couple with mutual understanding. It's a nice read. Though I dropped it at around Ch50+ cuz I feel the plot is quite dull and nothing intense happened. The romance is cute but not engaging enough to keep me invested. I struggled to continue it to the end but failed. Maybe I would pick it up to read it from the beginning again in the near future.

I'm not familiar with this rating system and honestly this novel is a full 5 star.

I don't really like to read a lot of details, thus skipped a few lines along the chapters, however I still got the sense that all of them details ain't boring like some novels and even better it is easy to understand and the translation flow is topnotch too.

That's why, thank you author for the amazing artwork and for the translation too!

amazing, stunning, never been done before etc

nothing is perfect but the story was good imo like the politics etc I was yearning for the journey and it was so well done and researched clearly thanks to the translator. It was just a really interesting and different ride. This author has a knack for making the mundane more interesting and certainly in this setting but I love more realistic political things anyway. Less ridiculous moral judgements going on in other novels, less unstructured and s*upid mu*der, more espionage and being reckless... more>> towards yourself to find an ending you want. It gets exhausting to read revenge novels with no sense of direction and it's nice to see people go about their way on a path they have clearly set and to make decisions that are hard but not easily solved by erasing an entire problem.

and thank god the wife/husband stuff was a joke because my god it is the most annoying trope ever to me make it vers u cowards (she did)

I'll say this was an amazing novel and amazing translation. I'm so happy that I got to read this novel.

I truly loved the ML yan xiaohan too much. Yan bro is truly my type.

Just beautiful. Was actually hesitating to read this because I thought it was too much political just like in SPL but while it is politival its actually 40%politics and 60% romance. First half is all about the main CP, second half kind of deviated and all about war. Very inchresting though.

I got told this was one of the lightest political novel, it isn't. Hahhaha and while it isn't, it is still good and butterfly inducing. Got a lot of butterflies from Yanfu interaction!!!

It was a very refreshing read, completely different from the common toxic BLs relationships. The main couple relationship is healthy, respectful and so sweet (and a perfect switch *__*).

The relationship dynamic was top ties. It was completely different from all the bl novels I have read. I fell in love and honestly they are my relationship goals. I can say that this is a true contender for first place in my list of fav bl novels. I see a future reread or ten.

Thank u for the translating and I really love this story. Fu Shen and Yan Xiaohan deserve happienest together. With the hardship they went together, they need a rest and flirt with each other. Sob sob* I need more but nevermind. I really love this story (>~<)

I heard many praises for Golden Stage, and I agreed. This novel is terribly underrated. It deserves more attention. It has many intense political intrigue and great CP's development. The CP keep adding more sweetness with their gold interactions. As individual, both of them shine wonderfully. MC and ML has different views on loyalty. But those don't cloud their judgements toward each other. Instead, those differences push them to acknowledge their own weakness.

Awesome novel, awesome translation.

I can’t even describe how beautiful the story is or how perfect the main characters are for each other. My favourite novel of all time.

Good story, romance was sweet. It felt a little rushed at the end, but was still an enjoyable read, and I love how devoted to each other the protagonists were. Extras were helpful for putting some information that I suspected into context.

Really really liked this one. Measured writing, good plot and an overall wholesome story. The relationship between the leads is probably the most healthy ones I've read. Communicative, honest, not dramatic but still able to bring out their longing for each other. You can see how they've worked on their relationship together. Translation is A+. Definitely worth reading.

Well, personally, I don't like the ancient fake historical novels with deep political explanations. However! This one is pretty dope.

Because, it still has an excellent translation, beautiful romantical arc and strong characters.

Recommend for those, who can cope with tones of history lessons ;)

if you looking for what loyal to your love one means this novel for you, I love the dynamic between the two main lead, it was a good story until ch 50 I think, I dunno I just lost the fun reading it after that, but around the end of the story it got fun again to read, well I would still give 5 stars despite all of that.
