“You’re the 23rd descendant of the Sa clan.”
One day, a man showed up in I-yeong’s life. Or more accurately, a yokai did.
The man introduced himself as a Bulgasal—a being that cannot die1—and also claimed to be a friend of her grandmother.
So her grandmother had a friend who was this handsome and rich?
“You need to do it. Make your wish.”
“My… wish? What is that supposed to be?”
“The way to fix your messed-up fate.”
Without even realizing it, I-yeong had inherited a goblin’s curse, passed down through generations of her family like some old legend.
She needed to break that curse, and Sa-hae was the one guiding her toward the solution.
This journey was called: Make a Wish.
From the moment she learned of the family curse, yokai from all walks of life began to appear around her.
The serpent-like shaman (Gureongdeongdeong Sinseonbi) was a famous influencer.
The jade rabbit wasn’t on the moon but living in Chiaksan2.
The neighborhood’s famous child shaman was actually an Uturi3, and the net-carrying grandpa now ran a pawnshop.
“Is this really going to fix my fate?”
“It will.”
As she went around granting the wishes of these yokai, she found that luck had crept close to her side.
“So… luck has finally found me?”
The only catch: that luck came in the form of an iron-eating yokai named Bulgasal.
