Bai Jinshu, a patient with deep obsessions and emotional deficiencies, joins a strange foundation. Here, the foundation collects countless unknown spaces with strange rules. Their task is to enter these unknown spaces and summarize these rules. The foundation is full of talented people, and the unknown spaces are strange and terrifying. What is even more bizarre than the colleagues and more strange than the strange rules is the newly hired drama king Bai Jinshu and the roles he plays…

Recently, there have been some explorers of unknown identity in the foundation’s exploration live broadcasts:

[A top university graduate with an annual salary of one million yuan, a winner in life, a mysterious young man hidden behind a smooth and lucky life.]

[A melee mage who casts spells with his staff in critical moments, but is actually a “physical attacker” who reads as a “magic profession”.]

[A bold and reckless inheritor of intangible underground craftsmanship who knows astronomy and geography and dares to scavenge any boss.]

[A rich young master who solves problems with money first, hires a team of mercenaries, and crushes everything with heavy weapons.]

[A necromancer with only bones left, accompanied by death, immortal and reincarnated forever.]

[The supreme machine that ascends through machinery, abandons the human body, and throws itself into the flood of data.]

[A legendary investigator with high sanity who can come and go freely in the indescribable world.]

[A false god who speaks the law, crushes dimensions, and leaves no survivors wherever he goes.]

In the world of countless strange stories, the unknown spaces of the bigwigs have emerged and quickly attracted the attention of all investors.

Investors: This foundation can actually recruit such awesome employees? Let’s invest.

On the eve of the year-end performance assessment, the top-ranked explorers are about to face their final battle. The person who tops the list can have one wish fulfilled unconditionally by the foundation. It is said that the several god-level bosses who have appeared recently are all here for this spot, but there can only be one winner. So countless investors are eagerly looking forward to this strongest employee competition, betting on each other, shouting “Fight! Fight! I want to see who can win.”

In response to this——

Bai Jinshu: “Wait… there’s a big problem with this final battle.”

#How come everyone in the top ranks is me?#

#Don’t even talk about you guys, I don’t even know who can win#

#Don’t panic, maybe I can still live… oh crap, save me, save me, save me#

– Large-scale personality split scene, combat level and moral standards fluctuate with identity cards, Gong is mostly a background character, really just a background.

– The identity cards in the synopsis are not exhaustive, the protagonist’s true identity is not revealed, and the order of the chapters is based on the outlined plans. Some identities have a second round.

– Rule-based strange story unlimited flow with multiple identities, focusing on rule-based strange stories and puzzle-solving. It has few horror elements but many quirky core mechanisms in various scenarios.

I love this novel but holy shit. Theres a 177 chapter long arc and ML barely has a presence. I recently started counting how many chapters he is just silent even though he is constantly next to MC. (He talks every 4 chapters in the 177 chapter long arc, I counted. One word talk but still, he talks!!!) but I know for a fact he's gone ignored for longer. They weren't lying about the romance being a subplot, its barely a plot.

It really is worth pushing through the arcs you... more>> don't like to get a taste of whatever shenanigans happens in the next. Especially getting to the arc where Cen Bingqi is introduced, thats gotta be my favorite one

The arcs are really funny, especially the arc from chapter 138-165. The side characters are like-able. Idk about the mystery solving part because I turn my brain off when I read this, especially on this long arc.

So far, MC still doesn't treat ML like a person so id keep my expectations for romance low.

I can't tell if the author's favorite vest is She Mochu or Cen Bingqi, cus on one hand She Mochu has 3 arcs, but Cen Bingqi has a 177 chapter long arc (please set me free)

The jump in Arc length was really jarring, like it goes from the early arcs with the shortest arc being 13 chapters long and the longest being 28 chapters long to 177 chapters long, so suddenly!! Thankfully the long arc can be separated into 14 mini arcs. Mini in quotes because the shortest is 5 chapters long but the longest is 42 chapters long.

So much happens in such a short time that you really have to pay attention if you don't wanna be confused, or you can be like me and get surprised when there's suddenly a dragon they've accidentally unsealed.

Overall, Its something I read for character interactions and some silly events

I've become so obsessed with this novel that I have an excel sheet with all the chapters and the arcs, counting down how many chapters I have left in an arc/mini arc and counting how many chapters its been since ML has spoken <<less

So far, the story is engaging, funny and unique. Usually, I skim through most chapters in different unlimited-flow stories due to generic plots but this one kept me on my seat and it makes me want to read the whole thing but unfortunately, it is still ongoing. The premise is similar to other unlimited-flow stories that have systems, but instead of an audience, there are investors, and the players are called explorers. Each arc has different, unique storylines. The investors only have a few lines through the chapters but they... more>> are witty and funny. My favorite one so far is the Cthulhu arc. I read it at night, and it kept me awake and I looked around my room as if waiting for something to jump out. Another notable one is the 4th arc, the MC's persona here is hilarious and his thinking is quite innovative.
Spoiler

Do not expect too much on the romance since it is a subplot, ML is practically used as a tool man by the MC, it's quite cute. Also, he is the God from the first arc and he will be summoned by MC in most worlds but he doesn't do much besides staying by MC's side.

P.S. Do not read this story if you're eating or drinking. Trust me. <<less

Absolutely loving it so far. There’s some small plot holes where the author forgets certain stuff they mentioned prior but other than that the story is amazing. The characters are well thought out, the comedy is there (just a bit lacking in my opinion but its easy to just get past that), however the selling point of this novel is definitely the unique worldview and logic behind every arc and outside of it. I won’t spoil but I highly recommend reading this if you enjoy interesting op MC with questionable... more>> moral compass and skewed mental stability paired with a cute ML (do be warmed that its full of disturbing descriptions if you're sensitive) and if you like novels like thriller trainee etc. As the other comments had mentioned, the romance is a bit more of an added bonus with the ML mostly just taking a backseat and appearing on just every other arc, yet despite that I would still say reading this is completely worth it. With that said, for those who knows where to read the mtl version of this, please let me know ToT!! Im begging you SOBS <<less

Really love this so far. The protagonist is very fun to read about, and the story has a lot of funny elements. Some of the ‘worlds’ are very cool- I’ve never seen a concept like the Night City one. I really like this and think it’s underrated. Following it with enthusiasm!

Rather than an unlimited flow this is more like a quick transmigeration where the players are acting roles given to complete a storyline. The idea is interesting, but I found the execution lacking. The most interesting subject of this novel is probably the MC. He acts like a sociopath at times and his moral compass leans towards the bad side. No matter which skin he's wearing, his profiling is not something we commonly see in infinite flows so it's quite refreshing.

As for the instances, players are supposed to find "rules"... more>> bounding an instance while placed into the scene as guest characters. When done right it would've been interesting, but because a lot of these rules turned out to be really straightforward, it took away the mis'en'scene when none of the characters other than MC could solve it.

MC carried so hard that other characters seem like sidekicks and it made me question how all these high-level players survived before meeting MC. The overdramatised reactions of calling MC an omnipotent god everytime he does something really took away the mystery and horror for me. Death isn't taken very seriously here, with some even taking vacations inside these horror instances. It does seem like players really die when killed, so the lack of suspense in some instances was a bit confusing.

As for ML, it's was very refreshing to see MC having the upper hand against an evil god, but ML's presence is a bit lacking since he's used as a tool by the MC. Can't make a proper judgement yet since he don't interact nor act much within instances but maybe he will have more roles in the future. I won't call the romance slow burn since MC acts like an obsessed man around ML and the author feeds the reader loads of dog food with their flirting, but true feelings might take a long time to develop since MC can't feel emotions.

It does seem like the author's writing gets better with each subsequent arc and the ideation is really special so I hope future arcs can hold an uphill rather than a downhill trend. Maybe future chapters might overturn my negative views on this novel so I won't rate it yet. Will let it marinate while waiting for other reviewers to comment.

Kudos to the translator for picking this up, 600+ chapters is a lot considering how long each chapter is and the translations are done really well. <<less

Really good. Starts out seemingly similar to other infinite stream horror novels in the genre, but quickly differentiates itself after the 1st arc. It's more focused on exploration and puzzle-solving, and MC's roleplaying takes each arc in interesting directions. You may get horror and action in one, then pure hilarity in the next arc. In that sense it's a bit like QT genre, but there are regular side characters so it doesn't feel like everything besides MC is cardboard. Although not all the arcs are equally good, the length of... more>> each arc is just nice and none outstay their welcome.

Romance is weak, ML is cute but has weak presence so far. <<less

Very similar to Welcome to the Nightmare Live in basic premise so far. Other aspects are similar to other stories from the genre too. Not to say it's an exact copy of anything else I've read, just nothing unique. I'm interested to see how the next arc goes and what other personas the MC takes up. How this arc finishes up and the next arc goes will really help me see whether this is worth continuing. If the next arc is too much of the same, I'd probably drop this... more>> to 3 stars.

This kinda stories are starting to lack an element of danger that kinda takes away the point ya know? Like this isn't a comical genre subversion that can get away with that.... IDK maybe I've read too many of these? Maybe if side characters were more compelling and interesting and not just comedy side pieces, the lack of perceived danger to the MC could apply to them and keep the horror element running? Maybe also make them have important skills the MC lacks? This was a side tangent sorry. <<less
