I have finished reading until the very end. The start was kind of interesting since the plot revolves around the diablo world and how he's incorporating the powers into the real world. However, as the story progresses, we are introduced with a bunch more of random real world names/references like saint seiya, football references, apple, celebrity names, and more. Now if you're going to read this without minding that much, you would be good in continuing to read this.

On to MC. He is introduced as a gamer, a diablo game... more>> addict. He transitions quickly, maybe even a bit too fast, especially with killing and mu*dering other people. There's not much depth into the MC aside from the fact that everything was predestined for him and he was able to adjust quickly into what was given to him.

Now the overall plot, is good, not that great, but readable in my opinion. However, if you really think about every detail of it, a lot of glaring plot holes can be observed. Just like:

Spoiler

Why is the 'Mother Empress' a MALE.

Why did the bugs wait 1000 years to invade? Granting that mother empress is recovering, but haven't they planted spies reaching even to the strongest organization of the humanity, why wait 1000 years, they can just send a bunch of supreme level bugs and annihilate humanity before they even know the bugs exists, because throughout the story, they only knew of the bugs quite late.

What's the point of the early powers of the different characters from diablo world when in the end he rarely uses them and even in the final battle he only used the undead power. One combo I can think of is using the paladin buffs on himself and clone himself to battle as well as placing a bunch of traps?

I understand having Elena and Angela as wives as they represent his two worlds, but what purpose is the marriage between him and demonic paris aside from just fulfilling her dreams, she never did anything significant after as his wife.

How did the MC magically obtain the power to gain insights into laws of space when earlier he was barred to progress because he can't understand the laws of azeroth continent.

Cultivation was hard for almost a thousand years, but somehow, after MC reaching a high level, the continent can spit out high level cultivators just in time for the final battle.

and many more

[collapse]

Of course, you can thoroughly enjoy and continue to finish the novel without minding the certain flaws of the plot as it somehow sticks together to a finish. The novel is good, worth the read if you don't have anything to read currently. But in my humble opinion, it's far from perfect and is not meant to be read continuously. <<less

If you planning this novel, little bit of advice for you. If you expecting huge war, try outsmarting enemies through schemes and strategy in this novel, you will not find any of those thing.

Author tries to make as if what MC did is right thing for King should do. But it was nothing but s*upid.

MC is a king, what King responsibility ? Protect his kingdom. Yet for some reason, author ignore development of MC's territory and gave vague hint of it once awhile to remind us MC is a king... more>> not a f*cking random Cultivator. He invested so much on his own strength to defeat his enemies. But he forgot the fact that One day he die, his kingdom will be bound to destruction and cripple.

And yes, this is absolutely identical to any cultivations execpt few mixes of magic.

One last thing that pissed me off, is the timeline. Holy f*ck MC did so many things in one f*cking day? I totally dislike this kind of timeline where MC did so many things but all of those stuff done in few days.

Spoiler

MC rise to power in SUPER SHORT amount of time. Every stories told were happen in few months. How the f*ck it make sense ????????

[collapse]

Yes I gave it 3 stars, because for cultivation novel it is not bad. But I wish MC focus more on territory. <<less

I have already finished reading this and I got to say, its really entertaining to read because it incorporates 2 things that I love: Diablo and a kingdom building kind of story.

The first 100+ chapters are so unbearable and makes you want to drop it (I started with the manga then read the novel) but once you finished those chapters its really entertaining to read. It feels like there is actual movement in the story and the author doesn't add too much filler parts and the amount of romance and... more>> s*x scenes is enough to satisfy the readers. The overall story is pretty complex and I love the ranking system they used from star warrior to a supreme god. Unlike, other chinese novels were its so easy to level up, this feels like it actually takes effort to move up a level (If you take out the Diable aspect) especially after Fei enters Hell mode of Diablo, it starts to actually challenge him and its interesting to see how that he is able to make decisions while looking at the big picture which I rarely see in other stories. And the fact that anything or anyone that was mentioned in the past chapters is still relevant in the new chapters and it doesn't keep on adding stuff which is irrelevant to the story.

Overall, I give it a 5/5 <3 been reading this for the past week and it didn't disappoint.

P.S. Most of the reviews I read here dropped it at like the double digit numbers of the novel which I understand because the first 100+ chapters are so unreadable but once you get past that, its the most entertaining sh*t ever and the title will really make sense after the unreadable 100+ chapters.

Believe me, endure the first few chapters and you wont regret it. <<less

Throughout the novel, I had good hours of fun.

In the goblin arc, I wanted to give up, because it had become extremely monotonous, but I was still going on.

The end of the novel ended up being a little confusing, I had the impression that it was written quickly, but that did not take away my satisfaction from seeing the conclusion of the plot.

Conclusion: If you want a storyline that is fun from start to finish, don't read this novel.

I recommend reading it while waiting for updates from other jobs.

I saw the reviews and let me tell you one thing, do not believe the reviews of people that left after reading a few chapters. Read for yourself. Most of the stuff is explained in the end, and the end is not shitty.

Yes, the direction of this novel is not what it seems (kingdom building), it is a more cultivation sort. [My view could be skewed because I read The World Online, that was pure kingdom building and it was awesome, and I expected something similar to this after the... more>> first few chapters, but it is not.] The wars are what empires are for, and the reasons are all there, though a bit childish. There is also romance, and it's in a proper way than most other cultivation novels (no r*pe, no falling in love after the first meeting, etc.), except for once but that was a long time in coming anyway.

The only thing off-putting to some, as well as funny, would be the real-life names that the author so conveniently and shamelessly used. Like seriously, you would go: "Bro, come on." But on another note, you know those are just names.

Another thing would be the hatred for Diablo 2 setting. I would say, it's fine. It is not like he is dissing it or making fun of it. There is a reason.

Spoiler

the god who made it was a human schoolboy who died, travelled to this world and had to make this world for a future child of fate, who would be from Earth as well, and hence a game would be an ideal choice for one to get stronger and quicker. As for how he brings items from the game world to this world is also because the world is real, and it is only explained in the last two chapters.

[collapse]

Saint Seiya's are also used. And the MC tells very clearly that he was in his troll mode when he did that, what other explanation do you need?

Also, it is not boring. Some chapters are but the arcs are not. There is also very very less of those tr*sh villain tropes that just annoy everyone, and they do get their just fates very quickly in this one.

Very less Chinese propaganda, a bit is expected when the real-world setting is involved, but not on the level of brainwashing. Some scenarios are very graphic and cruel, and all warnings are not there by the translators.

Last off-putting thing is that the chapters are broken into so many parts by the translators. <<less

Cons:

MC is a dumbass.

Despite having so much potential to become strong through the game system He's weak. Growth of MC is slow. He ain't OP despite having the system. Why not increase the rank instead of having only sun moon star rank. And increase the cultivation speed like after the whole 100 chapter he can barely fight with a 4-star warrior. Slow-paced story and repetitive war. MC should have individual strength rather than an army. If he were to go into seclusion for a year with the gaming system... more>> in hand I bet he would become god level. But due to politics, his cultivation speed is slow. He should first build his strength then plan to dominate.

Does the author really have to make the diablo game? Why not make some unique game world rather than diablo. After he conquers the game world he might be strong enough to rule in the real world.

And the starting point is late. He's already 18 years old. It would be good if he were to reincarnate into a baby, or into a 12-year-old boy. Just the right moment when kids begin cultivation.

I didn't like the premise of the story. Why must he be a king? He should leave his kingdom only with those who care about him into adventures.

Pros:

He has a great game system.

he's handsome <<less

The premise seems super dumb, and I usually don't like novels that wholesale incorporate real-world properties (i.e., this story is entirely dependent on Diablo 2).

Still, it's pretty fun. The MC is a king who continuously swears and beats people, which is an interesting change from the usual 'fallen noble' or 'lucky loner' protagonists. I tried picking this one up previously and dropped it after ~100 chapters, but after trying again I found it very engaging.

At beginning it is good with lot of good elements but after some times you can feel author taking the xianxia route.

Author fails to include other classes of db2 instead he focuses solely on Barbarian class, but whenever there is need for the specific class you can find the MC using the same class equal to barbarian class level.

After some time the novel changes from kingdom building to MC being solo or just being with some 3-4 characters. MC won't even cares or goes to his kingdom, he only conc... more>> on becoming strong. <<less

Story isn't bad, but repetitive and somewhat slow at times. It starts to grate on you.

Spoiler

What I don't like is that the MC stopped focusing on all of the Diablo Characters, and just worked on the barbarian character. On top of that, he is min maxing, because "he can just switch to other characters." But if you don't level up those other characters, they are just going to be useless weaklings... doesn't make sense...

I really like this novel. Especially character names. It's easy to remember character names. Very different from other Chinese novels. Because I am very difficult to remember the name of the Chinese character. Does anyone know a novel like this and use a common name and not the name china?

This is the cliche reincarnation with cheat system story. The story is interesting at first but it becomes a repeating series of arrogant enemies picking fights and getting crushed. There’s no real setbacks and it becomes tiring reading tr*sh talk from every enemy the hero meets. Everything is super exaggerated to try and distract from the repetitiveness (i.e., attacks from the lowest tier fighters can “cut the world” whatever that means).

I wanted to give it 5 stars but the way it went in later chapters became a series of disappointments.

The kingdom building became sidelined and what happened is your typical chinese novel cliché where the strong people appears, gets defeated, some stronger character appears, the MC improves, defeats that character, rinse and repeat.

What's more, the story isn't as creative anymore and followed the cycle of ass-pulls, just trying to create wars and stronger opponents out of nowhere, some defeated enemies comes back to life only to become a cannon fodder... more>> for the MC to defeat once more with lesser effort just to introduce an unimaginative new opponent.

Oh, and have I mentioned that the "wars" are more like MC takes everything himself later on with his "strength" with little to no strategy? Such a lame ending for battles that are dragged for so long.

In fact, I can rate this 3 stars but just for the first hundreds of chapter, I'll at least give it 4.

If you want kingdom building, sorry but it will barely exist and become glossed over in later chapters. The later chapters of this novel focuses on cultivation and battle between "experts" that all pop up out of nowhere. <<less

This story is actually a great read and would highly recommend it.

But even I carnt ignore the flaws.

This story is ridiculously slow in terms of plot progression. Im not joking, it can take up to 50 chapters just to defeat one enemy.

... more>> One you read the MC in the game once, the awe is pretty much s**ked out the second time and you realise the MC spends way too much time in it and you end up begging the Author to move along.

Then there is the villains, its just one problem after another without any peace, it gets tiring.

My only other grip with this story is that when the MC can actually bring game character into the real world.

Almost nobody is actually interesting and they are just there to waste chapters and provide support to the MC by kissing his feet. <<less

This is really quite an awesome novel. The kind of novel you want to read with action packed music in the background lol. Full of thrills and well written action scenes, it makes your blood boil by just reading through it. The only thing that I dislike is the fact the translation is slow

There were times when there was only 3 releases each month something only half a chapter per month

Only because of the translation speed this story is ruined

*Sigh*

Another one bites the dust

Overall, I give this a 9/10 because it managed to hook my attention, instead of me forcing myself to read it to be entertained.

I feel the character and the plot could be developed more a little because I believe it still has endless potentials but for now.. Imma just enjoy it. ;)

Honestly I would have given this story 5 stars but sadly I can only give 4.5/5

People are right when poiting and criticizing the Diablo system.

And sometimes you can find 2D villians,

This is your common genre about the idiot, irresponsible and usless king or prince who are replaced by our beloved MC and turn the situation around, but what makes this deserving of such rating is because the world and characters are amazing. Not only that but those heated moments, the moents when they are fighting it gives you a... more>> feeling on your chest that isn't easy to desccibe, is simply amazing to read. There is too some comedy or parts thatmakes you laugh and I simly just want to read more about it and knowing that there is still a lot of chapters to go it greatly please me a pains me.

This is a must read, totally worth your time. <<less

Such an amazing novel focusing on a small tier 6 kingdom and the m/c King Alexander aka Fei.

He can enter a different world for about 8 hours, which allows him to gain experience/items from there and use them in his real kingdom world.

He has multiple classes since in the other world, he can create multiple characters. Assassin. Warrior. Sorcerer. Druid. Paladin... etc. (7 total)

... more>> In combat in his world, he will switch between classes/abilities allowing him to PK enemies quickly.

He can use a potion from that world to heal people in his world. Although his world has magic and knights, the other world has more benefits/better items.

He can even summon dozens of allies from the other world and show them his world/strengthen his army. His goal is to become a tier 1 kingdom and become stronger.

There's a kingdom competition coming up and whether or not your kingdom passes will determine your ranking.

Fei has a wife but we just got Fei's second future wife, this archer girl from the other world. She just got the D.

Right now, about 7 kingdom (mostly tier 5-6) formed an alliance with 500 of their own soldiers each, to destroy Fei's kingdom but they don't know how strong he truly is.

We also have a princess from a higher ranking kingdom who is liking our M/C. She was able to fight off a few a strong assassins that her evil sister sent and Fei/Chambord City saves the day/princess.

This novel is very good. My only complaint is the crappy translation speed but eh <<less
