‘Achieve 100 affection points in a month… Is it possible?’

[Haylan’s current affection points are -103.]

Chahyun became a premature death case due to the system’s reincarnation truck misfire.

For the reason of having to use up his remaining lifespan, he’s possessed a character in the infamous horror game ‘Haunted House.’

While entering the mysterious mansion according to the system’s instructions was easy, the main quest of raising NPC Haylan’s affection points seems much harder than expected.

Furthermore, a handsome male ghost appears at night, confusing Chahyun….

Fluffy and enjoyable!!! Their dynamic is so nice, I couldn't stop reading

I didn't know just how much I'd loved a Tsundere ML paired with mysterious cheeky MC, it's like a heavenly pair

I started a search for more underground novels, so here I am. I don't think I've read enough to give a rating, so I'll wait a little longer, but I have some impressions already formed.

Since there are no reviews here, I thought "why not, right?" lol

---Up to chapter 42---

... more>> This is a novel that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's okay. Despite having a setting of horror, adventure and mystery in a fantasy world, none of that is the focus of this novel. The thing is the comedy.

As a transmigrated protagonist, our MC (Chahyun) doesn't have much affection for this world, thinking it's all part of a game, and wants to complete the missions so he can return to his world. He's a little oblivious to most things, but given his transmigration situation where nothing bad can happen to him, it's understandable why he doesn't take things too seriously.

I also liked how the transmigration factor was handled here.

What really worries me about this novel is how they're going to develop the relationship between the MC and the ML. Whenever novels deal with this 'MC who met the ML as a child' thing or something like that, I get a little hesitant. Even though he's not a child in age, the ML's world-experience is very limited and the MC himself perceives him more as a child than an adult. Furthermore, the MC is beginning to feel a parental connection with the ML. If it's well developed, it could work out really well, but if not, it could end up becoming quite problematic. I'm looking forward to see which of these cases this will turn out to be.

Judging by the tone of the novel, which right away introduced a lot of foreshadowing of a lot of adult content like

the MC business and the poisoning as an aphrodisiac

I assume it's going to be a novel with a lot of smut? Idk, it's just a hunch.

The several pov retellings bothered me a little, because they add very little to the narrative and make a lot of unnecessary repetition. And the biggest problem is that this happens quite often. So, it's nice to see things from another perspective and the misunderstandings that are caused most of the time are funny, but retelling entire scenes with only one thought or another from the other pov is kind of boring, especially when it happens like every 5 chapters.

So far I think the translation is pretty good. I haven't had any problems with it at least.

--- Update: Chapter 63 ---

Well I guess I was wrong about the heavy smut, i'ts way more fluff coded than I expected.

Haylan asking for hug instead of any freaky thing when Chahyun let him do anything to him for 1 min really got my heart

[collapse]

I'm actually glad nothing major happens given their circumstances (MC still kinda perceiving ML as family and ML in a more need of emotional connection than s*xual anyway).

And THAK GOD nothing weird happens when ML is in his kid body, I was so afraid we would see a kiss or worse excused just because he is actually not a child in age. To my surprise, their relationship is progressing smoothly enough to not feel any weirdness I felt in other novels.

I take back what I said, the novel focus not only on comedy, but on the romance as well. As I said, there are lots of fluff moments between them, it is so heartwarming, Haylan is such a cutie, THEY are so cute together I might faint. Still, the pov retelling keeps me from rating this a 5 stars, it really gets on my nerves sometimes. It's a shame, because I truly came to love this novel, but I can hardly bear to keep rereading the same events over and over again with little to no info added. Maybe it would be less tiring if I could read it in one go instead of 2 chapters a week.

I still recommend it if you don't mind this and want to read some fluff to ease the mind. <<less
