I've read the raw of this Korean novel before. It's one of the best revenge story I've ever read. Though it's only a short series, the author was able to stay faithful to his theme which is revenge. The author also addressed why it ended with only 40 chapters and he mentioned that originally, it was suppose to end at 20 chapters but because he saw the ratings of his work, he decided to increase it and made it to 40 chapters. I will surely tune in to author's next work because he promised that he will always stay faithful and will always try to write more interesting story in the future without losing focus.

Now about the story, The MC is really faithful in his revenge without involving other people. He always make sure that no innocent person will get caught in his revenge. In a way, he's really ruthless against his enemies, he always make sure that all the target of his revenge will die in his hands, face to face as long as possible. He investigates his enemies, carefully planned his revenge and know how to take risk. His powers is op but it's not because of it that he defeated the strongest person in the world, but it's because he risked his life in fights to prove that there's a weakness in the enemy and also to have a chance to exploit it. I really liked this one. Author really did a great job and I can't wait to see his next series because this person knows his limits as a writer and doesn't want to lose focus on his story. <<less

For those 2 who have already decided to rate it 1 start without even giving a comment... regardless of whether it's the story or the translation... it definitely deserves more than a 1 star at this point!!

If I had to give a rating at this point I'd say 2.5 stars with potential to go either way once more chapters are translated. In any event, I'll keep reading it for now until I get a better idea of where this is going.

(There really should be a minimum number of chapters before ANY rating can be given... but that's just my opinion.) <<less

Rushed cliche revenge story with some logic fails. This would've been pretty good if the author invested more time and effort into it.

It's a bit rushed, especially in the beginning, but it's okay I guess.

The first few chapters were especially rough. Some horrible stuff happens to the MC and to some extent it seems like it's purely to give the MC a target for revenge. At the very least it would have been better if there had been a bit more set up.

What a fun read. It's focus on revenge, but unlike many other revenge novels that makes you endlessly annoyed and being dragged for too long. This one is straight to the point.

The MC is also likable, he's a thinker kind of character and I can see him musing about ideas and approach plans with rationality. He's not a guy mad for revenge. He's just calmly waiting for a chance but at the same time very proactive once he got his chance. I also think that it's a bit of a waste that this story was so short. This one had a great potential for a better and longer story but author didn't force it. Like other reviews said, author knows the limits and didn't force writing new ideas to make it longer. So I finished the story with a light heart.

The translation isn't too smooth at the earlier chapters but manageable and can still be enjoyable.

A bit rushed from chapter 1 to 4 but it's just the back story of the protagonist, but things get interesting a bit afterwards.

*rubbing hands* hope he gets back the emotional revenge too.

I give the story 3.5 stars, but round up to 4 stars for the translation (no muss, no fuss type of translation. No preambles or snarky comments or long winded postscripts.). The writing style at the start of the story was not that great, I found it choppy and confusing; it’s like it all made sense in the writer’s mind, but wasn’t articulated properly on paper/story; it got better as the story progressed. Short but sweet. The names were a bit confusing at times, but the story was good. It’s nice to see a revenge story where the MC actually gets his revenge.

the novel is really good and the Plot ist enjoible and the ending is decent.

If you are looking for revenge short novels with no big Plot Twist then you are at the right place.

The MC is hard-working, determined and also a little bit selfless who ia trying his best to achieve his aim: REVENGE. But He also dosent lose his mind and start to kill and hurt normal people.

The one Thing that I persolly couldnt understand was the description of some his abilities. But that ist not a big Problem because he mostly use his main ability and what it did is really simple to understand.

This is pretty good. The beginning isn’t as rushed as I’d heard it to be. What I really liked was the world building of it. It was an interesting ‘truth’ that I hadn’t read before. It’s focus wasn’t so much on ‘a hunter will fight monsters’ (probable cause it was all about revenge) but showed that those with super powers work and use their skill cleverly.
