At first, the story seemed promising—the system mechanics, the amusing punishments that somehow benefited the MC, and the overall lighthearted tone made for an entertaining start.

However, as the chapters progressed, the novelty quickly wore off. The pacing was painfully slow, with almost 100 chapters of repetitive interactions that made it frustrating to continue. The biggest issue was how over-the-top the character reactions were. No matter what the MC did—whether it was flailing his arms, giggling, or just existing—everyone in the novel would dramatically overreact, showering him with praise like, "Ahhh,... more>> so cute! So pretty! So angelic!" It felt exaggerated to the point of absurdity, making the story feel repetitive rather than endearing.

While I understand that the MC is a baby, his actions didn’t feel genuinely cute—at least from a reader’s perspective. The characters’ constant obsession with his cuteness became more irritating than charming, and the lack of meaningful plot progression made it even harder to stay engaged.

Overall, this novel had potential but failed to deliver due to its slow pacing, repetitive storytelling, and excessive overreactions. If you enjoy stories that rely heavily on cuteness and admiration from side characters, this might still be enjoyable. But for readers looking for actual character growth and plot development, it may quickly become frustrating. I ended up dropping it. <<less

It has to be mentioned that the pace is very slow, in particular how long it takes for the MC to grow up, but from a different point of view it could simply be described as detailed. Many reincarnation novels skip the early childhood despite the protagonist remembering their part life from birth (and some others make the MC remember it later for precisely that reason), but that's not what happens here.

And the author actually did a very good job at it. It's true that the MC doesn't do much... more>> while he's a baby, but he's a baby, so what is he going to do? However, that doesn't mean that nothing happens.

It's simply other characters who drive the plot early on, and the MC only takes significant actions very gradually - in a way that is somewhat realistic for a small child and doesn't break immersion.

The other characters provide plenty of entertainment, first and foremost his adoptive mother.

Some may have read that he's adopted into a chaebol family and think it's pure wish fulfillment, but the story is actually more complex and has much greater depth than that.

The MC does have a cheat system that is fueled by positive recognition, but he mostly uses it to help people, and it also has repercussions aside from the virtual currency he uses for it. However, in many cases, it's those repercussions that end up setting off the chains of events that result in the desired effect, so it's less disruptive to immersion and also allows more plausible behaviour from other characters without suspecting anything strange.

And to describe the overall mood and theme of the novel, the MC may want to be a recognised actor and seek attention, but is actually very altruistic otherwise (or even plans to use his career for altruistic purposes), and overall the story is very sweet and wholesome.

If you're looking for a fast success story with instant global renown, this isn't it. But if you have the time to appreciate a more slowly developing career with the limitations of being a child and only being viewed as a child, along with healing family interactions, I can highly recommend this novel. <<less

If you like slice of life, domestic fluff stories, then you’ll probably enjoy this. It might seem a little repetitive at some points, or a little random, but the story makes sense. It’s pretty well crafted; With the way the MC acts, and the costs of the wishes he makes. Minor fantasy/system themes in the story, but mostly just a cute MC and his interactions with those around him. The reason I think the MC is a likeable character is because he’s genuinely a good person. He’s not selfish with... more>> the wishes he makes, nor is he overly saint-like/kind, he’s just normal (I’m not good at explaining but basically, he’s not bad/selfish that I feel annoyed by his personality, nor is he a pushover/too nice that I get frustrated by how he deals with things or how he lets others treat him). Its a nice in-between, granted he’s still a baby (physically), but I like his personality. Kind of a slow story bc 100 chapters in and he’s still a child, but I don’t mind stories like that. The premise is slice of life, so being “slow” isn’t bad, it’s bad/frustrating when a story is supposed to be action packed or there’s lots of conflict but no resolution or progress.

Spoiler

when MC died, a system window gives him 3 wishes, his wishes were; a trillion wishes, being good looking and a healthy body. The system doesn’t give him tasks or anything, it’s pretty minor, it just keeps track of his coins, lets him know how much a wish costs, and the after effects.

[collapse]

Spoiler

the MC tries to act cute, because that’s the best way he can earn coins to make wishes. Some wishes cost more than others depending on how hard it is to grant. Therefore he always has to act cute in order to save up coins.

[collapse]

Spoiler

some wishes cost more and the penalty varies. For example, he wanted to cure the back of the nun who was taking care of him, it cost like 1, 000 coins and his back will hurt for 10 mins. I think some penalties make sense in that they make him act more child-like, other than him trying to earn coins, he’s pretty mature for a child (bc he’s an adult on the inside). So some penalties make sense, like whenever he walks he’ll fall down every 10 steps for a year.

[collapse]

kind of a rant, but up to you to read the novel :P <<less

I didn't really get that far in, mostly cause I really didn't like the main characters personality. So the majority of the chapters were just him intensely giggling and flailing his arms around to try and get people to think he's cute. It was a rinse and repeat. But like I get that he's a baby, but do I really need to read the same interaction over and over.

Flails arms a bit. "Omo this baby is so beautiful"

Giggles a bit "wow this baby is so pretty"

Thats what the majority of... more>> the dialogue looks like.

It might get better once he starts acting and gets his peace points, but I just got too annoyed to continue lol

The mom who adopted him is interesting tho, she's a top actor who has family drama and you hear people call the MC a mutt as a result haha. <<less
