“半七捕物帳” (Hanshichi Torimonocho) is a classic Japanese period detective novel series by 岡本綺堂 (Okamoto Kido). The series is set in the late Edo period and follows the adventures of Hanshichi, a retired detective who recounts his past cases to a journalist. The stories blend elements of historical fiction and detective mystery, providing a vivid portrayal of Edo-period customs and society.
