That cold beauty is mute, but very good at using sign language to curse.

Su Ming, an R18 comic artist suffering from a writer’s block, hadn’t produced a satisfying work in a long time.

One summer morning, a tall, handsome, dark-skinned punk moved in next door. While carrying boxes, the guy took off his shirt, revealing tanned muscles with a light sheen of sweat in the sunlight—tight, firm, and powerful.

At first glance, Su Ming’s heart skipped a beat.

Su Ming didn’t want to get involved with the straight nightclub bouncer named Zou Beiyuan, but he couldn’t stop himself from repeatedly drawing Zou Beiyuan in his comics.

By chance, Zou Beiyuan helped chase off a man harassing him.

Su Ming cooked soup and sent it to Zou Beiyuan, with a note attached to the container: “Thank you for helping me.”

Uncomfortable with his own h*mophobia, Zou Beiyuan awkwardly asked, “Was that your ex-boyfriend?”

Su Ming shook his head.

Zou Beiyuan visibly relaxed. “I thought you were gay, sorry for the misunderstanding.”

Su Ming’s beautiful eyes flashed behind his thin-framed glasses, and he carefully wrote on a piece of paper: “You didn’t misunderstand. I do like men.”

—At 21, Zou Beiyuan gave up his dreams and left the boxing arena.

At 22, Zou Beiyuan “bent” himself and learned sign language.

At 23, Zou Beiyuan returned to the ring, aiming to win a championship belt for Su Ming.

The “bottom” is mute due to hearing loss, but his vocal cords are fine, and the “top” teaches him to speak.

For fans of contrasts in skin tone and body types, this is a must-read.

High sweetness throughout, alluring beauty, younger love interest, sweet and doting relationship, happy ending.

I highly recommend this book—it’s such a great read!

The main characters, Su Ming (MC) and Zao Beiyuan (ML), are written so well.

Su Ming is such a refreshing protagonist. Even though he has a disability, he’s never shown as weak or needing protection. At 28, he’s mature, confident, and comfortable with his sexuality, but he doesn’t rush into things. He thinks carefully about his feelings and the consequences before acting, which feels so realistic. I also love how he’s playful and flirty in a subtle way. The chemistry and tension between... more>> Su Ming and Zao Beiyuan are so much fun to read.

For example:

Spoiler

He preferred a subtler kind of seduction, where it would be best if Zao Beiyuan felt like he was the one making the first moves, not that he was forcing it.

Usually, in other danmei, if these steps weren’t there, the ML would just end up in denial. But here? It’s done so perfectly. Honestly, this book could be titled How to Bend a Dude.

Zao Beiyuan, the ML, is just as well-written. He doesn’t rely on showing off his wealth or using money to solve problems, which is so refreshing. Instead, he’s kind, patient, and caring. He’s a little possessive, but it’s not overdone. What I love most is that he’s not clueless or overly dense. It takes him some time to figure out his feelings, but when he does, he’s sure of what he wants and doesn’t hesitate.

One of my favorite moments is when Zao Beiyuan says:

Spoiler

“Su Ming, ” he said. “Don’t assume the outcome of our relationship either. No matter what the future holds, we need to be ready for this match together. Give it everything you’ve got, understand?”

[collapse]

This line really shows how mature and thoughtful this story is.

If I had to pick something to improve, it would be giving more closure for the side characters. But I understand that the author wanted to focus on Su Ming and Zao Beiyuan’s relationship, and they did a fantastic job with that. Oh, and no annoying female lead—thank goodness!

Overall, this is such a mature and heartfelt danmei. It’s a refreshing take on romance, and I truly enjoyed every bit of it. <<less

Definitely a must-read! I love them so much. They both dote on each other a lot and the MC is pretty bold in the sense that he's the one initiating all the flirting pretty much in the beginning because our ML is a straight guy.

This story is also pretty smutty but it's not detailed because censorship. Their s*x life is literally blooming, they're very h**ny for each other lmao.

They're good at communication their feelings for each other when they got together. They're so domestic, I felt so single reading this.
