Is it a masterpiece? No. But it's a fun story that stands out (a rarity these days) and has an interesting MC. Moreover, it feels like the story thus far is only scratching this surface before the novel takes off, with chapter 26 having a big reveal. So, I'd say give it a shot and make sure you get through at least these first few dozen chapters to see where it goes.

Fair warning: the first thirty or so chapters are basically just window dressing for the story that the author actually wants to tell, which is less of a "dark twist" and more of a laser-like focus on the author's corruption fetish. Most of the potentially interesting storyline is unfortunately relegated to those chapters and quickly becomes irrelevant afterwards.

If you're here because of the yuri or romance tags then you should probably be aware of some other things before proceeding:

-There is very little in the way of actual romance and most... more>> of it is, once again, almost entirely in the beginning chapters. Past that point the MC's relationships are basically reduced to having s*x with and corrupting whichever named female character is in their sight. Previously conquered harem members are mainly just referenced when they're complaining about new harem members or if they're needed temporarily for firepower. Suffice to say that the relationships don't really progress in a meaningful or compelling way.

-While it probably qualifies as yuri it's better to think of it as the web novel version of lesbian p*rn made by and for straight guys. There's s*x between women, true, but if you're looking for girl's love here you'll be trawling for it in a sea of misogyny and ab*se. Some of the MC's riveting perspectives include:

Spoiler
  • "You're a female who can't do anything on her own. So you have to follow me."
  • "...I'll turn her lower mouth into the Pacific Ocean. To the point men will feel discomfort from how loose it is when they insert."
  • "Even with small ti*s she's hot. So I was planning to r*pe her to make her fall."
[collapse]

Overall, it's just not that great unless you vibe with the author's fetishes. After the initial set up the action scenes quickly become stale since the author can't or doesn't want to challenge their protagonist. The s*x scenes have no emotional payoff and despite involving women are primarily dominated by male gaze. The world building feels arbitrary in a lot of places and is clearly just in service of the corruption theme. It's probably fine if that's your thing but I'd suggest avoiding it otherwise. <<less

3.5/5 stars for my actual rating

I'm not going to make this review too long. I read the MTL for at least 30 chapters a few months back, so I might forget some details, but here's the gist.

The story's premise is your typical isekai setup: a guy gets transported into a novel and ends up as the original protagonist's little sister, who's destined to die. So, naturally, she decides to get stronger and avoid her fate. Pretty standard so far, but here's where things get interesting. There's a regressor involved—the original... more>> protagonist goes back in time to save those who died, but our transmigrated protagonist has no idea this is happening.

Then things get weird with a time paradox that alters the timeline. The protagonist ends up getting corrupted by a demon core, which transferred from her other self in the previous timeline into the current one. This twist sets up the darker part of the story, MC becomes evil due to the core and, to spoil a bit, engages in a lot of "seggs" to corrupt other characters (including male characters, is it yuri? Yes it is). The story leans heavily into this, so if you're not into that, it might not be for you.

Overall, I'd rate it as decent. It's not amazing, but it's definitely a good time-passer. The "seggs" scenes didn't really suit my taste, maybe because they lack some description or impact, but there could be other reasons for that. Either way, it's a decent read if you're into isekai with a dark twist. <<less

This story is not interesting at all. The storytelling is also boring. At first when I read the introduction and saw the rating was 4.0, I was quite hopeful, but after reading 20 chapters to give the most objective review possible, this story is really boring and only adding lesbian elements to make it more interesting but still can not save this story, only makes the story worse. If you are expecting the yuri element to save this story, then forget it, it is so bad *beep
