“You’re still just like you were when you were little. Still so pretty.”

Licht lives a quiet life running a modest inn in the village of Arne. His peaceful days continue as usual—until one day, Ain, the older boy who used to follow him around everywhere, suddenly returns after eight long years.

He’s more handsome than ever, and now impossibly wealthy.

“How have you been, Ain?”

“Take a guess.”

“How should I know? You vanished for years without a trace.”

“Oh no, are you sulking? Licht, you still smell like a baby.”

“I am not a kid! I’m twenty now!”

Though a little pouty at first, Licht quickly finds himself happy in Ain’s company once more.

“His Majesty must be amazing, right? After all, he defeated the tyrant and became king himself!”

“You admire His Majesty? But your big brother likes Licht, who admires His Majesty, much more.”

What Licht—innocent and wide-eyed—doesn’t yet know is this.

The very king he admires so much is none other than Ain himself, and more ominously, an artificial “chaos” has begun spreading in secret.
