I came here from the manga. It's pretty faithful so far.

The translation is really well done. Definitely looking forward to read more. I put no rating yet because I've only read the first 5 chapters plus some of the manga.

summary: a sickly man who had a terrible start in life finally dies from his chronic illness and is reincarnated as a dragon. He recognizes early on that he knows who his dragon dad is because of a webtoon he was reading right before his death about the mad dragon... more>> genelocer, who went insane after the death of his only child. And yeah MC is that baby dragon. so instead of living a carefree lifestyle as originally planned MC has to grow up fast and get strong quickly so he can have to strength dodge all these death flags. <<less

The story is fun to read. I hope to see more of the story from Genelocer's perspective too, 'cause those parts can be very endearing to read. The story has a nice take on the "transmigrating into a child" troupe.

The MC thinks of himself as purely a dragon child -- and not a human adult -- and acts only a little more mature than the average dragon child (which are smart enough to hold conversations the moment they're born, have perfect memories, etc.), which was something I found better than... more>> the usual way stories like this go about this. He has ambition for learning as well as for surviving the "plot of the original story".

My only complaint with the story as of now is the iffy translation. Especially once you have to read it using mtls. Makes it a little difficult to read when the name and gender of the main character changes 3 times in the same chapter.

Edit: I read the entire novel some time ago (through mtls). I wish there were more heart-warming moments between Louis and his family. It's a fun read, but the end seemed a little abrupt to me. Not in a bad way, just hoped to read more than only 3 side story chapters. I feel like the story missed out on a lot of possible slice of life moments that could have been included after the main story ended in order to give closure to a lot of side characters' story arcs. Also, I wish the author would someday write about Louis' later life too, since the story ended wayyyy before his 10, 000 year lifespan. I wish there were more bittersweet moments that showed how the passage of time could have affected Louis, through the loss of people like Victor and Dexter, even though Louis himself always stayed ever the same. That's one of my favourite things about "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End." <<less

Hello. This is a fun and great novel. If you are looking for a novel that has a nice story line, can make you laugh and the ending is usually appropriate and good that finally brings a smile to your face, follow this. Although sometimes things go a lot towards MC, but it is not boring. I also thank the author and translator for their good work and I hope they continue this novel and do not abandon it👍💪.

The MC is Reincarnated and Transmigrated, he now is a dragon child. Of course in human years he is mentaly an Adult but as far as I can tell he probably acts in the eyes of an Adult dragon much more like a very young teenage dragon at most.

Meaning even though that the MC things "Urge Children are such a hassel" he himself is nothing more then a child in the eyes of a dragon, one even can see his childish side after all even in his human life he spent to much time sick and isolated to grow "more ripe" making him seem more like a Dragon teen which is perfect and avoid weirdness.

The MC itself is a kinda casual but a tad more serious guy, acting fully like the dragons we get to know without him realising any of it.

A fun read that got me hooked, I finished it in a few days. The action in this novel is relatively tame, it's mainly an comedy and adventure novel, only in the last arc where there is a lot of action.

The translation could be better, although it doesn't bother me that much since I've read so many mtl, just keep in mind that the MC's name changes quite a bit (Louis = Royce)

Overall a nice short read.

The translation is really meh like a 5/10, feels like there is no editor involved or they overlook a bunch of stuff and the inconsistency and wrong term usage like brain attribute instead of mind attribute, story's pretty good, like a 8/10

This novel is more about adventure and family.

Louis was a sickly human in modern world, he died, and he wake up as a dragon hetchling. He tought he can live longer as a dragon, but his destiny is to die before he grow up. He want to live so he tried his best to be stronger and study harder even as a baby dragon. The world tried to kill him multiple time, and he almost died multiple time, but he has determination to live and he also doesn't want to... more>> see the future where his father destroy the world because of his dead

I love all the side character that the author introduce. Even if they are only side character (not MC main companions), but the author wrote their background story as detailed as possible. Even after 200 chapters, you will still remember the side character from before chapter 100

MC is not a goody two shoes and he protect his own people well.

Is there romance in this novel?

There's no love interest or harem. MC has admirer or possible love interest, but there's no romantic relationship just one sided romance. The other girl is mc's disciple so he see her as his child, and the other is mc's childhood friend. I think this is the only flaw of this novel imo. I want an adventure novel, but I hope author will give romantic interest for MC. At least write it on epilogue/special, but it only has 3 epilogue, and there's no conclusion about it. But the ending is heartwarming and full filling, so I guess it is ok
